Beautiful victorian style inn, an oasis in the middle of downtown. Lush green walking trails along the river and Stone Arch bridge, quick and easy walk to shops, cafes, and sports venues. Dinner was outstanding, bar and patio relaxing and fun. Service was flawless. Our first time here but we’ll be back.
Great place for date night. The service was fantastic. Visit the bar for unique and creative drinks. Loved the Paper Plane.
Very nice time. Good service and excellent atmosphere.
Food was good atmosphere was nice.
Nice Friday date night.
My husband and I celebrated my birthday dinner at Nicollet Island Inn and had a wonderful time. We had requested a table for two near a window and were seated in a private little area toward the back of the restaurant with a perfect view of the river, a crystal chandelier overhead, and a beautiful glass artwork on the interior wall. Our waitress was fabulous and the food was great. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend it.
We had the restaurant week special. Very good except the dessert. It was supposed to be red velvet cake but it was oblong shaped and slightly dry.
It was fantastic!!
Great evening dining on the patio of Nicollet Island Inn on Wednesday. We went during Restaurant Week. The appetizer salad, entree salmon and red velvet cake was outstanding! Service was great. Our server was very accommodating to our needs, attentive to service and very personable. Tables social distanced, staff wearing masks, everything for a safe and enjoyable dining experience.
Service was terrible and there were 3 tables
The Nicollet Island Inn is a beautiful spot. We have been going there off and on for thirty years. The quality of the food has been up and down. They have a new chef and the current level of the quality of food is very high. The wait staff are doing a good job keeping the customers and themselves safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We appreciated being able to dine outside and the extra efforts exerted to make that happen. Excellent food!!
The air conditioning wasn't on. On a 90+ degree day and we chose to sit inside. It was stifiling
Awesome patio and one of the best hamburgers in town.
Celebrated wedding anniversary on Friday night. Great place to do that. Servers were excellent.
Thank you for helping 4 class of 2020 seniors have a “prom dinner” to remember. We gifted our granddaughter and 3 friends with a special night. So many traditional events were eliminated with COVID for them including their prom.
They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were made to feel very special. Thank you! We have had some wonderful times at The Nicollet Island Inn over the years and look forward to many more.
Brunch was delicious! We started with bloody Mary’s made with the bartender Brad’s own bacon infused vodka and coffee. The lobster & steak eggs Benedict with house made hollandaise was excellent as well as the corned beef hash. We sat by a window overlooking the river and enjoyed the old fashioned atmosphere. All in all it was a relaxing dining experience. The server was attentive and patient with our 5 year old granddaughter as well!
Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, nice staff. I look forward to returning.
We sat outside on a warm evening and it was really pleasant, the whole experience. The staff were attentive but discreet. Perfect service.
Great service and lovely atmosphere overlooking the river.
THIS IS OUR FAVORATE PLACE TO DINE FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS, FOOD IS
ALWAYS EXCELLENT SERVICE VERY GOOD AND FRIENDLY. LIKE THE SEATING
NEAR WINDOW OVER LOOKING THE RIVER.
Because of the nice weather we chose to eat on patio which was extended into the parking lot so not the greatest view. Under staffed, delivered food but no utensils. Because of Covid it needs work
Need more COVID protection training for the servers.
Excellent food and service. So glad you’re back!
Celebrated Father’s Day with our son. Everything was wonderful, setting overlooking the water and bridge was very relaxing. Salmon and ribs were delicious. Indulged on the ice cream cake which was large enough for 3. Nice wine selection. Friendly service.
We had great lunch at the Nic’s outdoor patio for Father’s Day. Fantastic food and superb service! Loved it!
Very limited menu and not many options for substitutions. Didn't have basic condiments available and no protein option for the one salad available on the menu.
I am sure this is related to capacity and COVID but compared to other places they have very limited offerings and I will wait to go back until things are expanded.
Excellent service & food! We had items off of their Father’s Day brunch. It was a bit more limited than I expected it to be but the items were delicious. We sat on the patio in the late morning with the only downside being the nosy hustle and bustle going on around us.
Fantastic outdoor seating and service is always exceptional. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience, NII!
Great date night. Food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
We had made reservations hoping for a patio table. Nothing was available outside so we sat at the bar. The bartender has helped us before and always seems in a bad mood. My husband ordered a vodka martini shaken really icy. The bartender made a comment that that wasn’t how you were supposed to drink them. He also said he never drinks vodka. He complained that everyone is ordering cocktails instead of just easy drinks like beer and wine. We were saying probably because during Covid that’s what we were having at home and it was nice to go out for a cocktail. One of the servers was asking him for recommendations of a wine to pair with cheesecake for dessert. The bartender acted so annoyed at the kid was just trying to give his guests a good experience. When I arrived at the bar the bartender set down twoshot glasses in front of me and got a bottle of bourbon and said shots? And then walked away and never poured them and eventually just took the glasses away. I thought he was offering to buy a small shot in honor of the restaurant being open again. Apparently not. It was just a strange experience. We chose not to have dinner there and left after one drink. Location is awesome, the patio is pretty, we’ve met the owner and he’s very kind, the bartender is just passive aggressive and maybe shouldn’t be in the service industry.
They were just getting the outdoor seating procedures up and running. All good, though.
We enjoy Nicollet Island Inn. We have had fantastic food every time we have rated there.
It was so pleasant sitting on the patio, enjoying the views of the city. The food was excellent.
Wonderful food and beautiful patio!
