Nicoletta's Table and Marketplace
I love the food at Nicoletta’s. However, on this occasion we got a glass of wine each, which was recommended by the waiter. We probably should’ve checked the wine list, however we end up with a very expensive glass of wine. $17 each glass. Oops! We were shocked at that and felt ripped off. Otherwise everything really is perfect about Nicoletta’s.
Nice quaint place! It’s larger than you think with a few places within to eat and drink at. We were in the bar area. Great food
Arrived 90 minutes prior to close. No bread. Didn't have the wine we ordered. Many apologies. Attentive service, not intrusive at all. Arancini outstanding as always. Carbonara less so - favorite dish here, however, tonight tasted overly creamy. Lacked cheese perhaps. Added salt to improve. Very noisy with the clatter of dishes in the open kitchen.
On a previous visit, I was very pleased so I suggested it as a good mother/daughter mother’s Day Choice. Even though we had a reservation, seating was delayed almost 30 minutes. Service was slow and I was disappointed that they didn’t serve bread or crackers with our wine. On my previous visit they did. Also, they were out of a few menu items so our choices were more limited. Perhaps they were overwhelmed by more dinner guests than they planned for, but we had a reservation and even confirmed the reservation. I would probably not recommend Nicoletta’s for special events.
It was a lovely place for Mother's Day. The reason I gave it 4 stars was because first off we had to beg for bread - one of the highlights of coming there is your fun bread basket which should be included even on the special menu days. Our server was kind enough to hunt down a few pieces for us but I know it wasn't easy. We also felt that $12 for a bloody Mary was a little excessive - same price as a whole meal. Other than that, excellent food nd amazing tiramisu plus great servers!
I took my mom and sister here for an early Mother’s Day lunch. We sat in the back patio area which was nice and quiet. Tried to order ravioli, promptly told they were out.
My aunt (90 years young!) and I went before the theater. The staff was exceptionally friendly and professional. Our salads were terrific: the chicken on hers was moist, the grilled salmon I had was terrific. The bread was perfect and the crispy cracker whatever-they-were addictive. Later, Grant, the manager, came over to chat. When we got the check, we saw he'd even comped our drinks. Afterwards, he offered to help my aunt to the door while I got the car. I wish I lived closer: this would absolutely be My Neighborhood Go-To Place.
This was our second trip to Nicoletta's in a couple of weeks. Our first visit was an impromptu lunch which was amazing. We fell in love with the ambiance, the service and the quality of the food so we made this reservation to return for dinner. Our meals were outstanding and the presentation set the tone for what was to follow. As the restaurant filled up, we noticed that there was no real increase in sound levels which made the evening even more enjoyable. I would strongly recommend requesting a table in Jessie's section if she is on duty when to go.
Great Food, Great Service, Great Value, Great Ambience. Just LOVE the place.
Ambivalent on recommending to others. The dreadful service cast an uncomfortable pall on the occasion. We were seated at a table where the late afternoon sun shone in and could not be blocked or shaded. This made for additional discomfort. The above is unfortunate because the food was great
Live music was great but it was hard to hear the specials! Food is always fantastic. Service is generally slow. This time it was excellent until dessert. Maybe service staff are responsible for too many tables? Everyone is always welcoming and professional. Really great restaurant.
Happy Hour with live entertainment including jazz trio with vocalist.
Uneven food and service each time we’ve been there. Usually an uncomfortably loud environment but our one high top table in hall was tolerable. Waiter who could not tell us name of cheeses or meats on appetizer board then mixed them up after going back to kitchen to find out. Food lacked much flavor (all our meals); looked better than it tasted. Desserts were better but tiramisu was overly alcohol flavored. Still, other times have been better for food and service so would return at least once. Prices high for the gamble of what you get and how it’s served.
Once again another fantastic experience at Nicoletta's Table. I invited new friends who just moved here from the Bay Area to join me. They were very impressed. The potato and bacon was the best pizza any of us have ever eaten!! Nicoletta's is truly a gem and we are so lucky to have you located in Lake Oswego.
Last minute reservation for birthday. Delicious and the wait staff amazing. Excellent sommelier!
Great food, fair prices, very good service.
We will return soon.
The food was solid. All the dishes delivered but the carbonara was the best as was the pizza (thin crust, great flavor) which we all split. I would definitely go back!!!
Easter .. appreciated the staff and that the restaurant was open on this holiday for many
Lovely Eastee brunch. One of the best brunches we've been to. Already booked to go back for mothers day
We love this place for the food, friendly staff and the fact that there isn't too much background noise that you can't carry on a conversation!
Wonderful restaurant and great staff. Feels like neighborhood restaurant. Will definitely go back.
A great place for lunch or dinner. Food was great as as the service.
Bolognese sauce much too spicy/hot. Not edible for kids. Meatballs tasted old and microwaved-definitely not fresh!
Mimi is sensational!
Never a bad experience at Nicoletta's. We were a party of 5 on a very busy Thursday night and you would have thought we were the only ones there. The SERVICE was that GOOD! If you like Manhattans this is the place to go. Nicoletta's is unrivaled. GO & ENJOY.
Perfect, perfect place for dinner before a theater performance at The Lakewood....or anytime! Staff extremely accommodating, food the best....not to mention top quality wine selection!
It’s a neighborhood favorite! Their lasagna is outstanding. And if you like clams, you have to get them. Everything on their menu is fabulous, you can’t go wrong! It’s a fabulous place for group events and private dining. They have multiple rooms for various size groups.
The food, as usual, was fabulous but the kitchen was really slow. Our waiter was very attentive but just couldn’t get the food to appear. Two tables next to us arrived after us and were finished before our entrees were served.
Terrible service, waiting an hour between the time we sat down and received our first course, two different waitress needed as first one disappeared
The food was excellent: flavorful and well presented. The gnocci and the linguine were delicious. The Brussels sprouts were a bit bland. The tiramisu was very good though not he best we tasted. Overall I strongly recommend it. We did have a glitch in service and the food was delayed causing the appetizers to come almost at the same time as the main dishes. But server was very attentive and helped the overall experience go well.
We brought our granddaughter for an early dinner on Friday night. The wait staff was very kind and sweet to her which means a lot to me. We ordered the halibut special and it was done perfectly. We will definitely return.
The food selection has been increased since our last visit and was outstanding, service was super, the only negative was the seating had been changed adding more dining capacity. This in concert with virtually all hard surfaces .... (floor, walls, ceiling, etc) made it both "crowded and uncomfortably noisy".
A great neighborhood restaurant! We sat in the kitchen area and it is extremely loud! Our dish was very good athough certain items are a bit on the expensive side. The wine list is terrific! Loved our server. There is so much to see, do and visit at Nicoletta's. They have done a terrific job in maintaining a wonderful restaurant1
Very nice environment, food and wine was excellent. Unfortunately we had a brand new server, who was very nice and friendly, but made a few mistakes. We ordered an appetizer that didn't arrive, part of one of the dinners was left off and had to be added later. Probably not typical, but the overall experience was just a little disappointing. I will still go back, but this wasn't Nicoletta's best evening.
so much potential but last 3 visits have had some significant gaps mostly with the service. Food is spectacular and ambiance good but that being said not sure if poorly staffed, understaffed or what the issue is. A month ago visited with a group of 10 and restaurant was not too busy, meals were brought out at varying times and one was probably 1/2 hour later than everyone else's not acceptable. Two nights ago visited again to give another chance and were sat about 10 minutes before anyone came to our table which we had to ask one of the bus staff for our waiter. Waiter seemed very distracted, once our dinner arrived we literally had nobody checking on us until about mid way through meal, ordered beverages from the bar and by the time we finished out dinner still had not been delivered so cancelled that order. No excuses, no apologies and certainly no complimentary dessert or anything to make up from the very poor service. There are so many restaurants to choose from in West Linn, Oregon City and Lake Oswego I sure hope that they get it right. Simply comes down to management and staffing at this point if you can fix that and focus on your customer then you have got a great combination.
We had a lovely lunch on Friday. The table was in a nice area, the service was attentive and the dishes we selected were delicious. I always love the Carbonara and it was perfectly prepared!
I ordered the Spaghetti bolognese with meatballs. It was very salty. I will not order it again, but i'll be back to try something else.
The food was good and the portions were surprisingly large. We were so close to the other tables around us, however, that we couldn’t even hear each other talk; too loud to be enjoyable. Would not recommend for any kind of intimate occasion.
Great neighborhood restaurant: comfortable, easy for conversation, good food, accepts reservations, reasonably priced.
The food was phenomenal! I would highly recommend this place and they were great with food allergies.
