Nicoletta's Table and Marketplace
Food and service were great. Room was a bit loud. I go here every year for my birthday and I love their patio. They make a great aperol spritz too!
The food is always amazing here and tonight did not disappoint. The vongole and the cream of mushroom soup are the best I have ever had; so flavorful! We had to wait a little longer than usual for our food tonight, but nothing unacceptable and we didn’t complain. However, the manager personally came to our table to apologize, comped our entire meal and gave us a bottle of wine to take home. Now that was probably the best service we have ever received in a restaurant before. Will definitely go back!
Not great. The waitress and the kitchen could not provide a simple oil and vinegar dressing for s main entree salad an after many tries it never came. 2nd dish was lasagna which was made in a single layer hot with a lot of sauce just no pasta.
Nicoletta’s is my favorite restaurant. I love everything about it! Even the leftover halibut and asparagus was delicious. Soups, pastas, deserts, wines....all amazing!!
Love, love the bolognese sauce with gluten-free pasta!
Nice menu and friendly service. Food was well-prepared and generous portions (of seafood). Pricing is a touch high (esp for some of the wine mark-ups) but we would certainly come back again.
We were fortunate to have Erika as our server. Wow, what a gem. She was not only delightful, she really went the extra mile to call the bar manager Dory, who was off that day but knew us, for an amazing wine recommendation. Dory is one of those special people who beam like a shining star and we knew that. We came to find out that Erika is also a great example of a shining star and we were blessed to meet her.
Food: Excellent homemade Italian . Basics and some.
Service: Friendly, attentive and helpful .
Ambience: Like dining in the kitchen...comfortable, casual ...like at home.
Much thought and care given to these recipes; wonderful herbs, spices and sauces. The bread is to die for! Save room for desert! Our waitress, Nicole was very personable and attentive.
The food was delicious, beautiful fresh salads to share and everyone loved their entree. It was a lovely summer evening and we enjoyed sitting outside.
Our waiter (Kelly?) was delightful! I believe it was his second day at Nicolletta’s but he was professional and knowledgeable and charming!
Overall it was a great experience.
We had the opportunity to sit on their back patio on a warm summer night and had a delightful experience celebrating our anniversary.
Very fun place. Food was good.
Had an anniversary dinner with hubby here on Tuesday. Wonderful food and service. Salmon was perfectly cooked on my salad and hubs loved his entree. Had complimentary gelato for dessert. Sweet waitress who was extremely helpful.
Food was exceptional and service was outstanding! Thanks Mimi!
Best red sauce ever. Here's the needed improvement... DO NOT handle the crackers or bread with your bare hands! Talk about germ transfer. Yuck!
We enjoyed a dinner on the back patio with family members. Food and service were excellent, and the patio was quiet and peaceful. Great place to eat.
I wish you offered a kid's menu. My child ordered the spaghetti with meatballs for over $20 (!) and of course, couldn't finish it. A smaller portion with a smaller price tag would have been great. No other complaints, everything else was lovely and delicious.
Really clean, stylish delicious Caprese panini and onion soup; attentive wait staff
Once again a lovely evening on Nicolette's patio which a jazz band.
Our waitress Mimi was attentive and informative, and had the best smile!
Dori suggested a lovely wine to pair with our entrees. Their professionalism is so appreciated.
Always great food and service! It’s mt go to restaurant for any special occasion.
We had a very skilled and pleasant waitress, I believe her name was Nicole, and her wine and food recommendations were spot on. The seafood was so good I'm ordering it next time as my main plate instead of a shared appetizer! This was a birthday meal and really memorable for everyone. Nicoletta's always been good but last time was the best ever.
Great food and great service. A bit pricy, but worth it for the authentic Italian choices. We'll be back to try the pizza and happy hour!
I had not been in the relatively new courtyard before. What a nice job they have done. The inside is also great. The happy hour is very good, great prices and good choices. The food is fine. I had the lamb lasagna tasty but couldn't tell was lamb. Other dishes were good but not fabulous but then I am very interested and fussy about food so a person less so inclined could have felt differently. I will most certainly return.
First time here. When we arrived the place was half full. They tried to seat us at a 2 top in a small corridor next to the kitchen. It was so congested the hostess couldn't get through to seat us. I asked for another table. She said we would have to wait. The only table is this half empty restaurant was dirty and we would have to wait while they cleaned. Poor start to a good meal. Not sure if this is a takeout market with a restaurant or a restaurant with a market
Ambiance is lovely. Feels like a European restaurant with a darling boutique. Lunch was excellent.
Very enjoyable evening, plan to return. Could have lived off the bread basket with the outstanding ginger trifle. I dont usually order dessert, was intrigued with the varied elements. Ginger cake, mascarpone, gingersnap gelato, whipped cream, coffee bourbon sauce; think Im mixed up on a layer or two but it was delicious. Mains were frutti di mare and chicken parm with spaghetti. Chicken was a bit bland and overcooked, the pasta and tomato sauce saved it. I was tempted by the bacon pizza, next time Im trying that. By the time we left the restaurant was full and fairly noisy, but not oppressively so. It was noise of happy diners.
We have eaten at Nicoletta's several times, and have found the food quite good as well as the service. In the past, I have found the portions to be quite ample. Tonight, one of us got the ravioli with ricotta cheese and mushroom special and one got the wild boar pappardelle. We felt the ravioli portion amount served was a little small, but the wild boar dish was served in a good amount. I think the biggest problem was the service which was rather slow after we were seated and ordered drinks. We didn't get water refills until we were done with our meals, and my husband ordered a second glass of wine to eat with his remaining part of his dish, and the wine wasn't brought until after he had already finished his dinner and told the gal then that it was too late. She said she "had to look for it" and that was why it took so long. Getting the bill, giving our credit card, and then getting the slips back to pay also took quite a while. The server was delightful when she was around, but it seemed to be some very long intervals between times she was available in our dining area.
Maybe, I'd recommend Nicoletta's. We were bothered by a fly all during our dinner, something I find unforgivable in an enclosed restaurant. Our insalatas verdes were very nicely composed and presented. The pizza margherita was underwhelming. The glasses of Barbaresco were over-priced for the quality of that juice. The prices for the salads and the pizza were fair. Again, I find flies in a restaurant a serious flaw. Otherwise, Nicoletta's is okay, if not great.
Outside seating was magical. Make sure you arrive before 7 pm for live music on Sundays.
We went there to celebrate my Granddaughters Birthday. The staff was wonderful, and presented us with a lovely glass of sparkling wine.
We look forward to going back the next time we are in Lake Oswego.
One of the nicest night I have had. Great music in addition!
Always a great meal! Don't let the store front in the shopping center fool you, the inside is a really nice atmosphere and they have an incredible outdoor area in the back open all summer. They also have some nice private spaces including a charming room for about 8-10 I think.
Always great food, reasonable prices and terrific service. Oh yea, good wine too!
Nicoletta's is our favorite place for family events and out of town guests .
Wifey and I had dinner there a few nights ago for her birthday. She had a ravioli and I went with the chicken parm. Both were very good. Our server was very nice, very courteous, and very accommodating, albeit a little slow. Cannoli's were good, although I've yet to find one's like we had in Rome. Would recommend for a casual, unfussy dinner that was really good and reasonably priced. Only complaint would be that the bus-crew are so loud when putting away dirty dishes, it can be distracting.
We were 4 people & none of us enjoyed our meal. Lasagna was miserable. Pasta had no flavor.
Terrible seevice, grumpy staff. From the hostess to the waitress, everybody looks on the edge and long face. The food was average.
Service was amazing. The server and manger were friendly and helpful. Outside seating was fabulous. Food and wine were delicious. Even though it’s pricey, we are definitely going back. Five stars.
Nicoletta's Table is in a strip mall in Lake Oswego. You wouldn't know from the exterior how large and wonderful a place it is. We were seated at an outdoor patio that we didn't even know existed. The food was terrific, as was the service. Best of all, Shari Newman, the restaurant owner, was in that night, and came over and greeted us, and made sure that we were enjoying the food and the service. It's always nice to have an owner visit with the patrons to ensure that everything is going well. This restaurant doesn't have the street visibility that other restaurants in LO have, but it's one of the best dining experiences in the city, and well worth seeking it out.
Service was great and the food also
