Great food and service!
It was way too noisy downstairs. Had a hard time hearing from across the table. Other than that, service was great, food was fantastic.
Asked for a certain table (upstairs) almost 6 weeks in advance and they sat someone else there 2 mins before i showed up (know this because saw them just getting silverware) and simple said they only had downstairs available and nothing they could do. It’s like a dungeon and had a party of 6 who thought normal speaking was screaming all night. Food was awesome but it’s annoying being downstairs especially with people running up and down to use the only bathroom
Excellent service and food. We ate outside so we were great. The inside was a little cramped and the music was loud for my taste. It was the best meal we had while in Boston.
Easily one of our favorite North End restaurants. Every meal has been outstanding.
This whole experience was amazing! The drinks, the service and the food was awesome!
Great meal at Nico! Sea bass and lobster ravioli were tremendous. Service outstanding!
Service was outstanding, and the food was fantastic. The Sea Bass was delicious, as was the cacio e pepe (made in cheese wheel).
One of my favorite places in the North End. The restaurant has been redecorated and it looks amazing. The food and service were superb as usual. Can’t wait to return.
The waitstaff was super attentive and answered any questions we had about the menu. The food was delicious, and the feel and vibe of the restaurant was perfect! Will definitely be back!
Too noisy- good appetizers- mains had to much pepper - no ambiance
Great service, even better food. Sat outside under a tent socially distance from others.
The pasta mixed in the cheese wheel had no flavor and had to send it back.
Best food ever! Thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service and the environment. Highly recommend dining here
Great service, great food and the Nico wine is delicious and reasonably priced! My girlfriend and I will definitely be coming back very soon
Had a lovely time at Nico for Mother’s Day!
Great food and service, cooking at the table from the cheese wheel was awesome, made the best chicken parmigiana even though it’s not on the menu
I went to Nico's for my birthday (this is either the second or third time I have celebrated here) and as always, it was a great experience and the food was delicious. This is one of my favorite spots in the North End and recommend it to all my friends. The quality of the food is great and prices not over the top, the staff is excellent, and the ambiance is fun and modern with a little old school vibe. Will definitely be returning again soon.
We had an overall great experience at Nico! The food was some of the best I've ever had in Boston, and the service was amazing! It is a small space and therefore pretty crowded and loud, but that's my only complaint. Everything else went super well!
We had to wait an hour plus after our reservation time. We weren’t seated till 9:30 for our 8:15 reservation. Apps came fast but main courses took forever. Over priced food for mains. Not tasty
A great place, amazing food, and spectacular service.
Very good food, unfortunately the service was not the best but would go back regardless.
Delicious food. Incredibly clean. Authentic Italian atmosphere. Helpful, happy, knowledgeable staff. Beautiful renovation. The sea bass I’ve lobster ravioli was good to the last drop.
Absolutely terrible. This place used to be our favorite. What happened to the management.!?!?Food overpriced with poor quality now. Service was awful..,,,the waiter was pleasant but not at all attentive. Worst part however was the LOUD music. Felt like we were in a club full of 20 year olds. Wasn’t the nice, cozy atmosphere it used to be. The female hostess/managers outfit was so inappropriate with cleavage falling out. She was encouraging her drunk friend who was dining to stand up and twerk another guest!!?!? Absolutely appalling. Never going back.
Restaurant was very busy don’t know if that was because it was Sunday I’ll because of Covid. First problem did not have the wine that we ordered off the wine list and a poor substitute was offered. Next for caccia bread came out ice cold. One pasta dish ordered with sausage and broccoli Rob pasta over cooked. Your Parmesan OK but nothing great and pasta was overcooked. They need to get a little better at what they do prettyPlace and service was decent young man was helpful
Such a beautiful spot. Had reservations for 4 on a Saturday was so worth it! From the service to the food and drinks and the music. I will definitely be eating at Nicos again
Nico continues to overbook for reservations week after week. I have now been there 3 times in the last 1.5 months (because the food is exceptional), but we have waited close to an hour every time for our reservation! This is not a one time thing like they try to tell you. It happens every week. Be prepared to wait an extra hour after your scheduled reservation time.
We visited Nico’s while in town for an anniversary trip. Service was spot on. Our server was very attentive and accommodated all our requests. We ordered the table side Cacio y Pepe made in the big cheese wheel. It was a fun experience to watch it being prepared. Only draw back was that we were sat downstairs and had to go to the wheel upstairs rather than it come to out table side. Overall a great meal and we met a nice couple sitting next to us.
Due to Covid we haven’t been able to visit Nico in over a year. I nearly cried when I saw out favorite waiter, Eddy, was still there. They took advantage of the downtime to renovate the space which was so well decorated, clean and comforting. The service is amazing, the food exquisite. Luckily for anyone who visits this gem made it!
Our server was amazing and the Cacio E Pepe experience was amazingggg!!
Very friendly staff! And food and view were amazing . Highly recommend it
Nico's is my favorite restaurant. I haven't been in a few years so I was really excited to go and see if it was the same. It didn't disappoint and we still absolutely love it!
We made a reservation for 8:30 and showed up right on time, but proceeded to wait more than an hour for our table outside in the cold. I feel like they need to organise their schedule to prevent this, as almost everyone who had a reservation was waiting outside for a long time. Despite all of that, the food was good. They also did not charge us for our drinks because we waited so long, which was nice but still doesn’t excuse the fact.
Food at NICO was great. Vibe was a little weird with MTV and boxing on the TV which didn’t really have the north end feel I was hoping for.
Place is great, service was a 10, food was delicious
waiter over an hour for our reservation
I took my boyfriend out for NYE to Nico and very honestly it was a complete waste of money and the food was terrible. After all the other reviews and their sister restaurants we surely thought it would be at the very least good- the food part was the cute little Italian table for two with decorations for the new year. The waiter was doing probably the best he could but also gave the vibe that he really did GAF and rushed us out after dinner- no “would you like another drink or dessert,” Thisbe guy legit dropped the check and dashed. I would not recommend NICO, our dinner for two cost $150 and was about the quality of a 99s or Applebee’s.
Go to one of the other restaurants owned by the same guy not this one
Rigatoni with sausage delicious as was chicken, saltimboca and burrata appetizer. Arancini were tasty
Great dinner out - food was good and service was great
The chicken parm was excellent, per usual! Was very pleased to see them taking covid guidelines seriously (it's really hard with the limited space in the North End) and had a delicious, enjoyable dinner.
