I had another great lunch with friends from out of town. The food was fantastic!
Always great to eat at Nick’s especially on the patio on a summer day. The food is great and the service is better.
Had the cioppino. It was fantastic. Lots of fresh seafood and fish. Tomato broth had excellent taste. Would definitely go again.
Brunch on a rainy day is tough for a restaurant who rely on patio seating. Yes we were covered but the black drop side cloths were a bit dreary. However both food and service certainly made up for it. Love the brunch menu and the comfort food vibe.
Everything is good on the menu. Must haves are the seafood enchiladas, asparagus fries, Roast beef dip, Steak, hamburger and Sea Bass when offerd. Salty Pear Martini Margaritis and sangria are good as well. This is also a good place to enjoy Sunday brunch you can sit inside or outside in the on the patio. I actually prefer the bar seating.

Despite making a reservation for the wrong day, the staff took care of me and my group and found a seat. Friendly team, good food.
Very good service. GOOD food. It was a birthday dinner and the staff gave him a card with every one staff signature, that was a nice touch. We will come again. ^
We dined at Nick's during the week for an impromptu date night. The service was excellent and everything we ate was very good. My sea bass was delicious and cooked perfectly. There was also a decent wine list to choose from by the glass. Nick's is centrally located with plenty of parking below in the structure. I would definitely recommend Nicks for a nice dinner in Manhattan Beach.
I was looking for a place to get together for my birthday. This place was recommended by a friend. Great location with adequate parking. Easy to find. We were seated quickly. If you have a large party you should call ahead. Drinks were very good. Try the Spicy Watermelon Margarita. My friends had several rounds of beer and cocktails. The shrimp taquitos were popular with my group. The Chilean Sea Bass melted in my mouth. My waitress was Kaitlyn. She was friendly and funny. Make sure you try the Butter cake, it's worth the drive. At the end I received a Birthday card from the restaurant staff, so sweet!

I had a bit of a disturbing experience when the server asked to see my ID, and then took it & walked away with it to the back somewhere because he said that’s the restaurant’s policy when the driver’s license is from another state. I travel & dine all over the states & have never had such a weird thing done. The date of birth is in big bold red print on the license...I am almost 40 years old, it’s not cute. It felt a bit too intrusive & upsetting. What exactly was he doing with my id in the back? Is this how identity theft happens? Disturbing

Went for a friends birthday lunch. We all enjoyed our food, but it first came out cold. When we told our server, it was definitely corrected as best as possible. Additionally, the manager came by to see if she could do anything to make us even happier. We had dessert on the house and it was a wonderful birthday celebration for all of us.
Brought my wife here for Valentina day dinner. I order the Chilean sea bass which was ABSOLUTELY delicious!!! I mean the fish was nicely cooked. With sautéed spinach and mash potatoes. This mean was just perfect. The drinks were equally as good. My wife loves this place and yes, we will be back!!
My husband and I decided to try this restaurant on Valentine's Day. After seating us on the patio and my husband and I making separate complaints to management, we were moved to indoor seating. I appreciate this extra effort to accommodate the customer's wishes but wish that we did not have to go through this when there were obviously a bunch of open seating in the dining room. This happened to be a cold evening where even the closure of the patio curtains and heat lamp did not keep us warm. Despite this, the food was well-cooked, and I would consider a return visit.

Food was rather pedistrian for an upscale restaurant. Cioppino underseasoned. Sea bass only average. Kale salad (“slaw”) was quite good as were the asparagus “fries”.

THe food was fantastic and the service stellar. Loved the ambiance. I was there for a business dinner, but would go there for a dinner date, lunch with friends, family dinner or just for drinks. There were also a lot of customers who brought their young kids so appears to be kid friendly too.
The food was great. Unfortunately, our server, Michael was not good at all. He must have been checked out that night. It was surprising because we usually have awesome service there.

Birthday breakfast celebration. Food too about 30min. To arrive, but each dish was presented well. Food was very good especially the short rib Benedict’s. It was a great way to start the morning! We will be back to try happy hour and dinner

We love Nick’s! The food is always consistently good, as is the service. Everyone is attentive and accommodating! The Spanish Carajillo (sp?) is beyond delicious for a morning treat before breakfast.
When visiting from Seattle, we try to make it to Nick's for at least one meal during the week. As always, the food was exceptional and the service professional. It helped that the weather was incredible.
It took forever to get our food and we just ordered sandwiches and burgers! It was good but the wait for food was a little unreasonable
The food was to die for! The Cioppino was great, but the lobster enchiladas were my favorite. Be sure to go hungry because portions are beyond generous.
I don't even like sweets. However, you have to try the 8 layer lemon cake and the whiskey cake. You'll be happy you did!
I can't wait to go back so I can sample the rest of the menu!
Really love having discovered this place. I live in the SF Bay Area and Nick's is everything we have come to expect in a great restaurant. You can come as you are, casual or dressed up and feel right at home. The service is very polite, attentive and caring. The food is great (try out the Short Ribs or the Sea Bass). The people watching is exceptional. The prices are right in line with what you would expect for this quality of experience. Hopefully, I'll be able to make it back frequently in the future, when I get to hangout with my special friends in Manhattan Beach.
