   My husband and I went for dinner on a Sunday evening. The place was just about full and the servers were busy. Our waiter , with assistance, was attentive without being hovering . I tried one of their featured cocktails ( salty pear) and really enjoyed it. My husband had the salmon and I had the Bistro plate. The salmon and the petite filet mignon were very nicely prepared. We couldn’t finish the entire dinner so enjoyed the leftovers for lunch the next day.

   I love Nick’s. It’s my go-to restaurant. Tonight the service was off—my sides were cold but my fish was hot. The bartender that made great drinks left and it was apparent immediately with our next round. No more lemon cake???? Are you kidding me? The waitress said they no longer carry the lemon cake. That is extremely disappointing.

    Very crowded for a Monday nte. Squeezed next to a large party and they were spilling Into our seating. They were loud. Music was super loud but we asked to turn down and they did. Just okay - we usually love Nicks and we were trying to celebrate my Mother in laws 95 bday so we were disappointed.

    We spend between $2000-$2,500 per year here!! Signs of cheapness are a birthday card instead of a small dessert. Also, my margarita was 75% ice which means it would take two of these to equal one drink. Consequently, we will frequent Arthur J’s and Tin roof , and R and D’ but will visit your restaurant once or twice a year!!

    Celebrated early Valentine’s Day. Everything was excellent as usual. Exceptional service. The only thing was, and this was a first, the appetizers were not as hot as they usually are but still good. Sarah and the gentleman working with her were great! We love Nicks.

    I've been here many times and usually love Nicks'but tonight was very different. First, I was interested in a specialty cocktail, but asked if I could switch out gin for their house vodka without charging me more. Waitress said she'd ask, but thought they would charge more. I told her if that's the case to just give me their house martini, which in most restaurants is less than their specialty cocktails. I received the martini...price on bill for that "house martini"? $16!!! Cost of specialty cocktail? $13! It's a pet peeve with me that drink prices have gone up so high and was trying to get something I'd enjoy with a more reasonable price, but ended up being charged MORE! Waitress should have let me know and didn't. I ordered the Nick's special with the petit filet rare to medium rare. I received medium well. I was with guests and didn't want to make a scene, so didn't say anything. It was seasoned very well - just way overcooked. Rest of meal was very tasty, as usual. But, halfway through, they sat a very loud large party next to us. Not their fault, but soooo loud and certainly cut into our enjoyment. We had also ordered fries to split and they came only after we asked about them...midway through our meal. Waitress was also very hard to understand at times and spoke too softly. So disappointing! Sadly, I think that was my last time there, and my last time recommending them to my other foodies! 🙁

    There was a power outage after I ordered today, and the chefs actually were able to complete my order. I was so thankful because I was starved ... they lit candles and stayed while I took my time to finish my meal. It was pouring down rain, and just overall a memorable and delicious experience.

    Our server was so upbeat it was infectious! John thank you for great service! We had the bistro plate. It was the perfect amount of food. A lovely clam chowder, crisp kale salad and nicely cooked steak! Yum! Also highly recommend the margarita!

    It was a pleasant experience out at Nick’s on Thursday Jan 26. We had a 8:00 pm reservation and we arrived early around 7:35 pm and they seated us right away. That was very cool. Our server Christen was attentive and engaging. Over all, it was a very nice evening. This was our second visit at Nick’s and would come again.

    It was a very nice late lunch. My friend left his Cioppino w and they said they had probably tossed it out when we were outside taking pics which was our mistake BUT ANGIEA & BEN made it RIGHT! I understand it was our fault we left it and it'd been 10-15 min but thank you for making us a new one. We will be back because of the way you resolved this situation. It's all about the way you made us feel. You succeeded in making us feel welcomed back. Thank you so much It meant a lot.

    It just gets too noisy on the Patio sometimes. Some people think its a daycare center letting their kids run around inside and outside. Lucky for me they had the outside fountain turned off.
