My family and I have been coming to nicks lobster for years. Way before the new renovation. So I’m unhappy to write this review because of my recent experience. Although I appreciated getting seated on time , I felt as though the attention was not there. I felt discriminated against because we very young. There was no bread basket offered to us. All the tables next to us were getting them. It was very busy for a Saturday so I understand. We waited almost an hr and a half for our food. I feel like our age had a very huge impact on the service . We were kind of just thrown to the side . Waiter was very nice but like I said it was very busy so some reassurance would’ve been nice. It seemed he was more concerned with the tables that had adults instead . And we were a table of 21, 25 and 22 years old. Still paying the same as others. Sad experience since we love this place so much! Maybe next time I’ll bring my mom so I can be taken more seriously.
We were seated outside on a beautiful summer night. Our host led us to a table by the water which was a perfect spot for the evening. Our server Gary was extremely helpful and made us feel really comfortable. The entertainment was really great. The lady and gentleman performing are really good at what they do and made the experience so much more pleasurable than it already was. The food was also great with the exception of the sweet potato fries. The house cut fries, however, were incredible. Overall it was a great experience!
Great Atmosphere, food was amazing!
I like this restaurant a lot. The food and drinks are so delicious. This time there was a life music and this was just wonderful.
The service was a little slow but the food was great!
We had an amazing evening, relaxed, with delicious food and beautiful music by Songbirds!
Everything was delicious. Chef came out to greet us. Friendly staff
Nick’s was overall a great place for our date. Child friendly for sure.
The food was consistently good. The service was pleasant and efficient. I recommend Nicks for a special occasion where you enjoy sitting outside. The service was surprisingly adequate. .
My reservation was for 5 pm. I arrived about 15 minutes early and was told that I would have to wait until my reservation time. I was seated on time. 20 minutes after being seated, we had to flag down a bus boy to ask that our waiter come by to take our drink orders. Our waitress (Angelica) came over and apologized and took out drink orders, while she was there we also ordered appetizers as well as our entree. The restaurant was crowded and we wanted to ensure our order was in. We waited almost 1 hour for our food to come out. In fact we had to ask another bus boy to check in on our food as once our drinks were dropped off at our table, our waitress didn't return. Once our food arrived we were finished our drinks and ordered another round- this round came out after we finished eating. Unfortunately the waitress was just as inattentive at picking up our bill - we sat for another 20 minutes waiting for her to accept payment.
We also noted a couple who was seated after us received their meal and drinks and left the restaurant before our meal arrived.
We have dined at Nicks Lobsters previously and never experienced this.
This was a celebratory dinner and it was ruined by the poor customer service of Angelica (waitress)
The place is beautiful and they had a live band. I love seafood so I was super excited to eat here. Made a reservation for 8pm. Ordered drinks but didn’t get our appetizer until nine. Our wings were re-fried with not much sauce on it. Then we still never got our entree orders. At around almost ten we had to ask for our check because we still hadn’t been served. When we got out to go plates. I didn’t realize until I got home that, they got our order wrong and food was missing. Way too expensive for this bad of service. Sucks cause I wanted to come back here but I can’t now.
Loved everything about it until we got our food, then the waitress just disappeared! Never checked on us until we were ready to get the check. Odd because she was great to start. Food and view were fantastic so I would recommend!
Started out being a birthday celebration with my two sisters & mom. Made a 5:45pm reservation but since we arrived earlier, we were seated around 5:15. My mom can't have any food that's heavily seasoned so I ordered the salmon for her and asked that it only be cooked in butter only, no garlic or anything else and with the mixed veggies just steamed plain. One sister had the stuffed shrimp w/crabmeat & my other sister had the salmon made regular. I had the seafood kabobs. Our waitress was pleasant and repeated each order back to me & they were correct. I repeated to her again about my mom's order and she said fine no problem. Once our food arrived, to my complete displeasure and what ended up spoiling the whole evening was my mom's salmon order was full of spices, covered in pepper garlic & so were the veggies and on top of that, the veggies weren't steamed or hot, more like raw & cold. There was no way she could eat it. I called our waitress back and when she saw how it was prepared, she too was annoyed and very apologetic. She put a rush order in and re-entered it but now we had to wait longer and even trying to eat slowly to wait for Mom, our food was getting cold so that messed up everything. By the time it came, she didn't eat much and she'd lost her appetite. She ended up taking it home. Big major disappointment. On top of everything else, there was a party going on in the middle room which was so loud and unbearable, we could hardly hear ourselves talk without screaming. The deejay was extremely loud to a point where the walls were shaking. I wish we could have enjoyed our meals better, perhaps the amount it ended up costing would haven't have mattered. I may go back again, undecided right now.
Excellent food. waiter was great. Good view of the inlet. Tables indoors and outdoors.
The restaurant was casual. Our waiter was excellent and given at least 5 tables at the same time. The other staff was awful. Not clearing plates bringing silverware never refilling water etc. they were non existent. The poor waiter was doing everything including serving the meal. It is on the water. Looked like nice outside. Again the service was the pits.
Over price with the quality of their food. Great atmosphere though.
We were surprised by the limited Fathers Day menu, but understand the need for it. Food is very good.
When we arrived for our reservation we were told our table was ready but we had to wait because they needed menus. We stepped aside and watched 2 large groups enter and get seated. Finally I went to the hostess and she said they had made a mistake and she was sorry. We sat at our table without water, bread, a the waiter seeing us and watched another large group (25) come in and get seated, get bread, drinks etc before anyone had even come to us. We got our food because i flagged our waiter down- he ran to the kitchen when he saw me. That huge group was finished eating before our food arrived!!! And we had the runs that evening! Terrible!
The atmosphere was great! The food was delicious and the prices aren't bad at all.
The best thing there was the ribeye steak and the pina colada. The calamari, lobster bisque, and lobster cream pasta was a little under seasoned and the dressing on the Caesar salad seemed watered down, but the plating and execution was good overall. They also gave extra pepper, salt, parmesan cheese, hot sauce and ketchup so that made up for it in a way. The portion size was pretty large considering that most of us didn’t finish our food. We sat outside right next to the water and the view was absolutely beautiful. I got to take some amazing pictures. This was my second time going and I would visit again/recommend this place to others.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AND AMAZING SERVICE
Always great seafood here. Very fresh and cooked to perfection. Had the salmon and mussels with garlic and oil, they were superb!
I enjoyed my dinner. I had a reservation and was immediately seated. The food was good. Nice and fresh. Had a view by the water. Service was good. Prices reasonable for seafood. I enjoyed the experience and ended up going twice for 2 different occasions back to back. Everyone enjoyed their food. We had Steak & Lobster, Stuffed Shrimp , Baked Claims, Shrimp Alfredo, Salmon, Fish Taco’s and Veggies. Only thing I didn’t like was on Father’s Day they had a limited menu, but I get why, so they could make sure everyone receive good and fast service. Drinks were good also. I will definitely go again and recommend Nick’s. Also had music. It might be nice in the evening for drinks. Both my reservations were for 5:15. Think it’s best to make a reservation.
Brought my husband here for an early Father's Day and we ordered the cold seafood platter. We had this the last time we came and it was delicious. I also had the lobster bisque, it was just ok. Other than that, the seafood is very good and fresh. We've come here many times and we haven't gotten anything that was not worth it. I love this place because all the food is so fresh, definitely will keep coming.
I order the backed clams, fried calamari, house salad, tater tots, fish tacos, and the coconut shrimp.
The coconut shrimp were delicious and the best thing we ordered.
Fried calamari was good, I’ve had better but I was satisfied with it.
Baked clams were absolutely terrible we had to send them back because they were chewy and fishy and just gross. Our waiter was very nice and told us that it was probably because they were the big clams and next time we could ask for the little neck clams and they will be better.
Fish tacos were good, tasted fresh
House salad was good just a regular salad
Tater tots were odd but I liked them. They had truffle oil and Parmesan on them so if you don’t like truffle oil don’t get these.
Atmosphere was absolutely beautiful but I guess the food is so expensive because your paying for the scenery.
Everything is good and tasty but very expensive my guess , regular seafood dishes should be cost that value of money
Unwittingly, we booked a table on karaoke night. Karaoke happens on the edge of the main dining room, which is already noisy (lots of flat surfaces, not much noise dampening).
Service was indifferent, at best. For example, I ordered a beer and, while it was empty before the main course arrived, the waiter never asked me if I'd like another.
Beautiful environment, very nice and tasty foods plus courteous servers and attendants
It was a wonderful experience. The food is always delicious and the ambience is always great as well
This was my first time at Nicks.. it was for my godmothers birthday and she loves the food. We all loved the food..
Had a great first time with my fiancè! Stuffed Lobster was amazing (all of the food really) drinks were nice and strong. The service was speedy and pretty affordable for a lobster/seafood house. Definitely will be regulars here!
We came on Tuesday for the 2 for 1 lobster. We ordered the one and half pounders. When they came, you saw the difference in size. One was the one and half but the other looked like it was just a pound. It was delicious. We sat by the table and watched the boats sail by and the birds diving for the fish. It was great.
I gave the waitress 3 Visa cards and got back two. I didn't realize till I got home. I called the restaurant 3 times and left my telephone number and they have yet to call me back. If it weren't for these two instances, I would have given it 5 stars.
Food always prepared well with great flavor. Service friendly and portions are generous.
We had a diner with our friends from Moscow. The food was very good,as always. We had an amazing waiter, Dima. He made our time at the restaurant very special. I’ve been at nick’s lobster many times, but never had such an excellent.
my wife and I came for a dinner date after seeing Nicks on our way to a play and said lets give it a try. Would go back
I loved it. Me and my friends are planning to go really soon.
Came here on a Saturday night, the place was packed so i'm glad that I made a reservation and was seated timely. However, we were unable to put in our apps before our entrees. Most restaurants allow you to do so this way you can start eating as you decide on what you want for your entree. This annoyed my entire party. I have never been told that i can't order apps before i order my entree. I also ordered a whole lobster, steamed, which i did not think was going to be butterflied. Doing this dries out the lobster. My 1 1/2 lb. lobster was dry. I have def had better and a juicy lobster at other places so i was disappointed.
I will not be returning to this place and neither will my family members. I should have paid attention to the 3 start rating on yelp.
Went at 430 in the afternoon and Waited over an hour for food. Was very salty
We tried Nick’s for one last time after a horrific experience and this is our last time. To start, the table next to us was complaining about the hair on their food, for the SECOND time. Our waiter wasn’t terrible, but several times we had to ask the waiter serving another table for another drink. The food is absolutely inedible. The shrink cocktail was mushy, the mussels were fishy (we didn’t even put a dent in the ) and the crab legs ($80 for 2 lb), were empty shells with what Tatar’s like commercial crab. We probably should’ve know how the night was going to turn out, when even my husband’s martini had bad a funny taste (probably bad olive juice). Not only does NICK’s charge Manhattan prices, the food in absolutely horrible. I won’t even tell you about the prior experience....
Our waiter was so nice and kind. I can’t count how many times we’ve been there and the service remains the same. The place is always clean and neat 💯
