Best service in Maui! Water glasses always filled. Attention to every detail. If you want a special night out, this is the place! Best place for incredible seafood.

Don't know what happened with Nick's, but we were disappointed with our dining experience. We requested our favorite table area and server, Beau. But we were told the table was not available. It stayed vacant throughout our entire meal. The calamari used to be our favorite, but was less than stellar. The caesar salad was different from what they used to serve, missing the anchovy and citrus flavors. We missed not having Beau since he is always so attentive and full of Aloha!

We had made a reservation with Nicks a few weeks ago, when we arrived, we were only offered seating in the noisy and hot bar area, we requested regular seating outside and were told all tables were taken. The hostess was very unresponsive and uncaring to our needs and did not offer any options that would meet our needs and did not care that we were 20 year customers and was fine with us walking away. There are plenty of restaurants in the area that would be happy to take our money with better food, unfortunately Nicks is no longer one of them and we will not be returning.

Lovely vacation dinner. Great fish and good calamari. Not crazy about team second approach.

The food was excellent. The service was highly "choreographed" and thus felt quite rushed. Not a wide selection of gluten-free options which did surprise us a bit since the menu is focused on fish. (GF is important to us, but not to most - we understand).

Sadly our wonderful memories of Nick’s from years prior did not live up to our experience this time around. We came for our parents 40th wedding anniversary but the service and experience was extremely poor. The wait staff provided little to no help with drink and food suggestions. It seemed as those were bothering them with the few questions we had - the only saving grace was catch of the day. Needless to say we were very unhappy with our experience this evening.

The service was excellent, the food pretty tasty, and a great location. Great way to spend an Anniversary!!! They brought us a complimentary dessert with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate on the plate, very nice!

Our experience with Nick's started out rough -- the hostess that night was a witch the moment we walked up (to a less than half-filled restaurant). She didn't even greet us or look us in the eye. We were seated on the patio by ourselves (in the middle of a rain storm), and we had to ask our server to be reseated so we didn't get wet (which he graciously did). Thankfully, the wait staff was on point the rest of the night. A big shout out to the busser -- Corey and the boys -- who were like ninjas with the water pitchers and kept our glasses full the whole night. They're the reason we gave Nick's a 4-Star rating overall. The food was good. Steak and fish were cooked perfectly. But sadly, the hostess really ruined it for us. We won't be back. We'll go to Ko next door instead.

Pretty aggravating to get stuck in the back room with all the kids. Hard chairs and all. Pretty average Maui food and odd service. Too many different people checking in on you. Even the water servers get in on the action. Probably worth a pop in if you are staying at the fairmont but I would not drive to it as a destination.

very nice atmosphere. service was adequate, but not what I would expect in a restaurant of this caliber... barely saw our waiter. Bartender had to fill in for first drink order bc he saw us looking around, waiter disappeared and didn't return for about 15 minutes, barely saw him the rest of evening. food was good though.

The setting was beautiful but we waited for a long time for every course. Dessert in particular took at least 30 minutes to come out once we ordered. The food was nothing to write home about and we felt not worth the prices we paid. My fish came out severely undercooked and everyone else in our party felt the food was mediocre at best.

This is the third time we have eaten at Nicks Fishmarket while vacationing in Maui over the last 5 years and we were a little disappointed this time. We made a reservation about a week before we got there but our table was in the back without a view. The food was delicious as always and we enjoyed starters, salads and our entrees. The highlight for us has always been Strawberries Panzini flambéed at the table. Our waiters have always made a picture on each plate with brown sugar, cream and chocolate drizzle which is impressive and makes the dessert worth the extra price. The first time we had 7 in our party and the next time we had 12 and each person got a different picture. This time there were only 4 of us and our waiter said he could only do pictures on 2 of the plates. When I questioned that, he stood firm and did 2 pictures on the teenagers' plates then did the flambé on the strawberries. My husband and I just got an empty plate put in front of us--no brown sugar, cream or chocolate drizzle which makes the strawberries into dessert! If they couldn't do 4 pictures at least they could have put the other ingredients on our plates and maybe we could have done our own pictures! Anyway, we looked forward to ending the meal with that dessert and left feeling very disappointed. Not sure we will go back. There are other places where the food is comparable.

We were very disappointed with this visit. The service was terrible - we sat twice with empty drinks and empty water glasses. Had to ask someone if we could order more drinks. One meal came out with burned bread for the bruschetta. Not sure how they could even serve that to a guest. Also the portions are very small and nothing was outstanding. Considering the location and the price, I expected more. Skip this place when there are so many others close by.

Started our meal with some delicious ahi sashimi and the pork potstickers which were very unremarkable and not finished. After a very, very long wait while we were entertained by many children running around the restaurant, whining, a few screaming fits, My husband had the macadamia crusted mahi which arrived at room temperature and I had the catch of the day, Opa, prepared with squash ravioli and broccolinni. My entree was good but my husband's was bland and as I mentioned not warm at all. We were too tired of being there to send it back.

overall it was a great experience! the food was amazing, everything we had was delicious, compliments to the chef. our waiter andre was phenomenal, very attentive and extremely funny, made us feel comfortable and relaxed, wasn't too pushy, guided us through the menu and have us great recommendations. My only complaint was that host wasn't very friendly and seemed very tuned out, like we didn't matter and she sat us with no menus. The moment we sat down, bread was brought over and then a someone asked if we wanted to get drinks, but we had no menu to look at, we had to ask for both a dinner and a drink menu. Had the host informed us that menus would be brought to us, we wouldn't have been so confused. Other than that, it was an amazing dinner and I would definitely come back again!

As we checked in, the hostess wasn’t too accommodating . Our main waiter was NOT attentive to our needs. Our waiter didn’t take the order. The assistant waiter did. The time between the appetizers and main meal was too long. About a 20 minute wait. BEAU who was the assistant waiter saved the night to some degree. He was very sweet. From my personal experience, I would NOT return to this place. The waiting was excessive, the food wasn’t that impressive and overpriced ! The waiter would walk righ by our table to cater to other clients. And not to us.

We arrived early but was seated promptly. The waiter was very knowledgeable and made several recommendations. We had a fish chowder for appetizer that was delicious. As main course we had the sea bass prepared with ravioli filled with sweet potatoes and vegetables on the side. The flavor was outstanding and the portion was filling. For dessert, the strawberry flamebe is a must. The servers were entertaining and prompt. Add the beautiful outdoor setting and Nicks is a must for anyone requiring excellent food, service and beautiful surroundings while dining in Maui.

Delicious seafoodPixar’s which was Hawaiian sea bass that was much nicer texture - flaky- than regular sea bass.
The wowie Maui salad was terrific and I shared it with my companion.
