Nick's Fishmarket Maui
Book your next event with us
Back room away from open deck area is not so nice.
We had a delicious and relaxing dinner at Nick's. Our server was very helpful. The setting was very nice with open air seating. Will go back soon!
Expensive , even the wines and desserts are overpriced
Not only is the food here delicious the service was a perfect example how how restaurants should run. Cyrus was our head waiter and took excellent care of us but it felt as if all the staff was there to assist in what was truly one of the best serviced meals I have ever experienced. Multiple people came by to wish me a happy birthday, explain to us their favorite items and answer all our questions. After much deliberation we started with the calamari which was a hearty portion, along with the pork wontons which were a new delight for us. The scampi was divine, the steak melted in our mouths and the Mahi Mahi was seasoned and crusted to perfection. Our drinks never went dry, we left full and with the feeling that we had just made several new friends. Would reccomend 10 out of 10 times.
Nice restaurant. Food was extremely tasty! We received a free dessert as it was our baby moon which was a lovely surprise. Food was a little expensive.
My virgin cocktail (mojito) was terrible so I ended up sending it back, but the second attempt to make it was much better.
Food left a lot to be desired for the price. Flavorless. Great service but way over priced. We have had better food at less expensive restaurants. I would not recommend this place nor would I return.
Great tasting food with fair prices. Wait staff were pretty good-could have had more people for how busy it was.
Wonderfully created dishes. Macadamia mahi mahi, lobster mac. In each dish the rich flavor permeated the whole meal, down to the last bite. Bring lots of money, eat like a king.
Great location and great food and superior service
Awesome! From the service to the menu to the preparation and flavors...all fabulous!
Incredible chef, service and ambiance. They cater to every request. Worth every penny.
Beau is the best server we have ever expected. Hope he is leading the training.
Great food and conversation.
We were seated next to a very noisy table with a large party, white wine was served warm and we hand to send it back for a glass of chilled wine, beer was offered with an unchilled glass and we had to ask for a chilled glass, salad had still frozen shrimps in it and the magi-mani was mediocre considering the $45 price tag. The only good thing was that they split for us the shared plates. Overall it was disappointing considering the price tag. The night before we got similar food at Tony Bahamas which was far superior for a substantially lower price. We crossed the fish market off our list.
Fantastic!! Great for us and our kids!!
Normally our favourite spot. The food was all ice cold and the service was not up to its usual standard. Manager was apologetic but seems something is off in the kitchen this year.
The Morrocan spiced Ahi with forbidden black rice was excellent. Service was outstanding. The presentation of the strawberry flambé dessert was very entertaining. It was a little windy when we arrived so we asked for inside seating. It was much too noisy at our table near the bar, and we were reseated outside with no problem. Dress was more casual than we expected, it's a hotel so families were there in t-shirts and shorts. Not a problem, but the ambience, service, and menu are at a higher level than the patron's attire. We will definitely dine there again!
Everytime we are in Maui we eat at Nick's Fishmarket and are always reminded of why we love it so much. The food is consistently delicious and the service is spot on. Don't miss it if you are in South Maui and take the trip if you are staying elsewhere.
Amazing! Everything about this dining experience was fabulous! We were there for a special dinner with a terrific view of the beach and sunset. Try the Mahi Mahi. It is a delicious dish with a generous portion of perfectly cooked filet. Flaming strawberries are a magnificent end to a perfect dinner. Our servers Chris and Beau were attentive to our every wish. Mahalo for a memorable evening!
All of the staff was very kind and helpful. Our view of the resort and sunset was great. The food was excellent (Moroccan crusted ahi and catch of the day pacatta).
Heather is a true gem. Loved every minute of our experience. Will definitely be back!
Food was fine but I was disappointed in the ambiance. We were seated in a back overflow room that was brightly lit and reminded me of dining in a hotel ballroom at a corporate function. I have noticed recently that when I book reservations through Open Table, we are seated in less preferable locations. This has now happened two nights in a row on my vacation.
Awesome overall experience
This place was amazing. I wish I could rate it over 5 stars. If you are going to Hawaii you MUST go here. Food is delicious, ambiance is everything you think Hawaii should be. It is a more expensive meal but worth it. Jesse was our waiter and was top notch!
Food was amazing. I got the Moroccan spiced ahi and wife ordered the Maho Mahi. We got the chicken nuggets (variant of it) for our toddler and he loved it. Flavors were excellent and presentation pleasing. Mai tais were stiff. I didnt quite like the mango tini- it was alright.
Would love to return the next time we are on Maui.
It was good, not spectacular. At best it is an average expensive restaurant.
Food was just okay. Felt it was a little overpriced for the quality.
Great service but very uninspiring quinine.
Always amazing. Exceellent food and impeccable service.
Steak was good; fish was bland and tasteless. Wait staff was overly and annoyingly attentive; seemed like every time I took a sip of water the waiter rushed over to refill my glass. Waiter came over to ask how my salad was after the first bite. Most annoying was that the open air part of the restaurant was part of the access to the pool. People were walking within 15 feet of the table in bathing suits throughout the meal. Pool traffic should be re-routed! Had a fantastic Christmas buffet here 10+ years ago; this meal underachieved and disappointed.
We had a reservation for 4 people, but one of our party was sick. As punishment, they told us when we arrived that due to only 3 of us being there, our table would be changed. The attempted to sit us outside of the restaurant - alone and away from anyone even though we were hotel guests and had made the reservation well in advance. We refused and were ready to walk out. There were at least 4 empty tables we passed on our way to being exiled. I ordered the shrimp scampi - forgetting that I didn't like it much last year. The shrimp are big, but it's not a traditional shrimp scampi - without a lot of butter or garlic or flavor. We won't be returning. Also, the small pieces of bread they give you are way too salty. This was one of two restaurants we had been to before that we won't go back to. There's too many other better restaurants in Maui. The location is good and if they give you a decent table the view is good, but it's overpriced and the food isn't that great.
Nicks is consistently a beautiful dining experience. My husband & I enjoy the Happy Hour at the bar (attentive bartenders Dave, Jason & Raul). We have celebrated many special occasions at Nicks, along with just a nice dinner out. The hostess Faran is always so friendly and helpful with the perfect table. We've experienced many servers Chris, Beau, Leon, Alex and many more that offer excellent service. The flaming strawberries is a fun dessert to complete your meal. I highly recommend Nicks Fish Market.
Opentable menu and what was actually offered we’re totally different.
Located in the Four Seasons, the restaurant was overall fantastic. Filet was delicious and service was excellent - very attentive server. Would highly recommend for a nicer dinner.
We stayed at the Fairmont so this was a convenient restaurant to eat at. We had eaten here 3 times during our stay and the lamb, fresh catch of the day and spinach salad were great. On our last night we looked so forward to eating there again but this time the service was very bad. Our waiter forgot to bring a knife for the fish and he never came back to the table after he delivered our meal. We had to pour our own wine for the rest of the meal. In a restaurant as high end as this the service was very disappointing.
Excellent service, like WOW!
Very excellent service, friendly and pleasant workers, clean restaurant and food was delicious! All the staff were so helpful and always around to cater to our table . We had a great time and will definitely return!
Service was ok, but the quality of the food was terrible. The blueberry cocktail was just bad; made half-assed; my husband took two sips and left 95% of it behind. The waiter never even asked how it was or why we didn’t drink it. He just carried away the full drink at the end of the meal with a smile. Same is true for the macadamia encrusted mahi. It was absolutely awful; looked and tasted like soggy fried fish. Again, the waiters didn’t seem to care that we left 90% of it behind. The only thing we ate most of was the shrimp scampi; it was just ok, even though the shrimp were a bit tough and overcooked.
Amazing experience for our 23rd anniversary. All greeted us warmly and encouraged us for our special day. Food was fresh and creative. Wonderfully prepared. Cyrus was our main waiter, but a team including Teavan and Shawn assisted and spoiled us. The bill is pricey, but the wine, menu and desserts are so worth the price of the experience. Absolutely do it. You will leave full and fulfilled in your time together with your "date", no matter the occasion.
