    My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary and the team at Nicks made sure to make it special! We were a later seating time but had the most intimate spot in the restaurant. Chris our waiter made sure everything was right! We started off with the seafood soup, then to the salads (Maui Wowie and the Beet salad) both unbelievably tasty! For the main my wife had the Lamb which according to her was out of this world good! I had the daily special of Opakapaka. Would highly recommend this spot for ambiance, food and service! We will be back!

    ate here twice but tried some of my families meals as well - most of the dishes were bland and had little flavor. presentation was very nice but taste was just not there.

    Second time here this trip. The fresh fish Opakapaka dish as well as the macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi-mahi is excellent too. I asked to have it over a bed of grilled asparagus instead of rice. We also had the crab cakes and potstickers for an appetizer! We will be back for sure👍

    Went here years ago and loved it. Came back and it’s fallen off it’s pedestal of service and food Quality. Our waiter was lovely but I remember the days of several servers and high quality food.

    We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary, and let's just say Nick's treated us right, wow!!! A table for two, facing the sunset. Gorgeous setting, delish mahi and a filet. Our server, Bill, was excellent! We would go back.

    Food was good, but not over the top delicious. We ordered crab cakes as an appetizer. They arrived lukewarm & by the time I finished mine, it was cold! To the restaurant‘s credit, they comped them, but I would rather have had hot crab cakes. Our server met the bare minimum for service-he always seemed rushed. Maui wowie salad was good, as were both fish entree’s (I had monchong fish, hubby had mahi-mahi). Overall, the dining experience was not as good as expected. Probably won’t return.

    Independent restaurant within the Fairmont. Very busy waited along time for our food. Pricey and certainly far from the best food we had in Maui.

    Fantastic service. Great setting. Delicious food and drinks. Average dessert. Pricey but no surprises. Was hoping for a more romantic type experience/setting. This felt like a higher end family restaurant.

    We really enjoyed our dinner and escargot was wonderful. The service could have been a bit better. Slow Our first drink was made incorrectly and had to be sent back.

    Overall, we would give Nick’s a 3 out of 5 as the food was decent but not nearly as good as other restaurants nearby and on Maui. Pan-Seared Ahi came with a delicious mushroom risotto, however, the Ahi itself was not very flavorful. The Mahi Mahi dish was not very visually appealing and was drier than other Mahi Mahi, but tasted alright. Service was average as our server was not attentive to our table. The service and food quality was disappointing given the level of dining and cost. The restaurant does have some nice views.

    Food would be better if it was served fresh. Everything from salads to entrees were prepared to far in advance. Lettuce was wilted. Fish and lamb had been reheated. There’s a reason they recommend “medium.”

    Our food was better than I remember from a prior visit. We usually stay at the Fairmont but we don’t eat here. My mistake. We’ll be back! Interestingly both evenings were rainy. This time we were in a booth out of storm range. I believe this reduced the noise level. Our fish entrees were perfectly cooked. Our strawberry beet salads were delicious. The Caesar was ordinary. Our strawberry flambé was extraordinary! We will be back

    Fantastic view! Seafood chowder was delicious along with our entrées, Pan Seared Ahi made with mushroom risotto and the Tiger Prawns. The service was great, and I'll have to edit my post to include the name of our server. Very attentative! We will definitely dine here again.

    Honestly, I wanted to love Nick's but this time, our experience was not as amazing as it has been previously. I know many restaurants are still trying to recover from COVID and have issues with employees, staffing in general, etc - but I did expect more for the caliber of this restaurant. The food was definitely delicious, and overall the service was great - but they were not as "on top of it" as they have been previously. For example, it was our anniversary - and we ordered dessert and they brought it ... and then after that they brought another dessert that said "happy anniversary" - so one hand didn't know what the other was doing. Also - pet peeve - for a restaurant like this ... don't leave surrounding tables "half-bused" - clear all the plates, napkins, etc so I don't have to look at that while eating ... and also ... don't start "breaking down" the restaurant (stacking chairs, pulling tablecloths, etc) while people are still dining. We pay a high price for the overall experience - it should be stellar from the food, to the service, to the ambiance. It all needs to shine! I would still recommend Nick's however, honestly, it will not be my "first choice" in the future and I would recommend other restaurants before recommending Nick's. Maybe that will change with a future visit.

    Our dinner at Nicks Fish market was outstanding. We treated ourselves for our last night in Maui. Did not disappoint. A bit expensive but we were prepared. Service and flavor of dishes went above and beyond.

    Unfortunately, the fish of the day was very dry and pricy. Normally in a restaurant when a meal is only partially eaten the server would ask if it’s alright and when one says “I didn’t care for it” offers to bring something else…oh well, lesson learned…

    The hostess was wonderful and squeezed us in after I accidentally cancelled our reservation. And we enjoyed our drinks and food. Only thing was the service from the kitchen seemed to slow a little when they got busier but it wasn’t too bad either. They did a wonderful dessert for my husband which was very special.

    Excellent food, get the catch of the day, service and ambiance were excellent as well, this is the nicest restaurant we’ve experienced in Wailea. A little pricey but worth the experience, will definitely go back.
