If you find yourself feeling extra indulgent, you can finish your meal off with a decadent dessert martini.
Usually we stop here when we are in town. They have changed the menu but have not updated their website, so some of our favorites are no longer available...Tuna tartar and the calamari. Probably won't be going back there are many more options in Lexington.
Nick Ryan's is a must stop for us when visiting from New Hampshire. Service is always great and food is always delicious. Always look forward to our next visit in Kentucky!
Great waiter and fantastic food! The patio was so relaxing!
Great food, great service as always!!
Great service and food. Will be back.
Everything was great! Was on time crunch to get to a concert and they were awesome.
Quaint, good service, nice mood, artsy, would definitely recommend and go again!
Service was excellent. Loved the atmosphere. Had the fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. Potatoes and beans were warm...not hot. Was told the chicken would be two white pieces, but one was white and one dark.
Excellent all around.
We were so disappointed. Appetizers served cold. Waiter came to nearby tables but ignored us and we could not get his attention. Waited 45 minutes for entrees and they were served cold. Waiter never checked on us so we just ate it. The salmon was bland and filets flavorless. When we left, we noticed other tables had bread. We were never offered bread. Lousy experience.
4 people, 4 different meals. All very good: filet mignon, shrimp and grits, Cajun shrimp poboy, rosemary chicken. Will definitely return.
Very pleasant experience. Our waitress was appropriately attentive and very cordial. Our food was prepared exactly as requested, beautifully plated and very tasty. A wonderful evening with great friends.
The place was full of Louisville Cardinal fans, there for the woman NCAA tourney. The shrimp and grits were very good and the fried chicken was very good..drinks were reasonable . just a few blocks from Rupp Arena. would go again when in Lexington Ky.
It was a wonderful dining experience. We will return!
Get the HOT BROWN
We went for brunch for my dad’s birthday. I have been there many times but never for brunch. Great mimosas, bloody Mary’s, and the eggs Benedict was awesome!
Our waitress was very sweet and did a great job. I wish I could remember her name. I had salmon on the spinach salad which was AWESOME!! This was our first time to your restaurant with some out of town friends. I will definitely be back!
Good service, good food and no rush. Table was reAdy upon arrival, cheerful hostess seated us. A pleasant experience. We will go back.
The food was good and the service was outstanding!
Food was amazing. And service was great
Service and food was great... a little noisy but just a couple of tables having a good time.
We had great service and tried the specials as well as the brisket… All were really good. Also great location to walk to Rupp Arena (we parked on the street).
The food was wonderful. We Arrived and we’re seated almost immediately. The one selection was very good, and the drink selection was amazing. Food was great!
It was loud. We had reservations and was seated in the bar area. The food had hardly any flavor in either of our dishes. It was disappointing for a place that requires a reservation. Tony’s would have been a much better choice for the occasion.
Saturday brunch was delicious! There are few places to get Maryland style egg Benedict in Lexington, but Nick Ryan’s has it! The portion size of the crab cakes was perfect and there was a wonderful Bloody Mary bar. We will definitely come back. If you’re in town for any reason, this should be on your short list of stops for brunch, lunch, dinner, and or drinks.
We requested table in bar area (more casual with TVs and less candlelight) and thoroughly enjoyed. Great food, as always.
We always enjoy Nick Ryan's. Great place to eat in Lexington!
My wife and I went for dinner on Valentines. Absolutely no dedicated parking. I was informed beforehand that they would be having a modified menu. The appetizers were wonderful but the entrees were average at best. This was our first time and we will not be going back.
Food was delicious. Had 3 course “special” Valentines menu which had many of their regular dishes at a much higher price than usual. Only had 3 Dessert choices none of which were great...you could only get either tiaramasu, 2 chocolate covered strawberries, or red velvet heart. Red velvet was more like a cookie with cream in the middle,so it was better than expected. Overall highly suggest going, just not on Valentines Day. Dinner for two (without alcohol) & tip was $130.
The service was great! Knowledgeable bar options. Classic, no fuss, well done food. Delicious!
Service and food were excellent!
Nick Ryan's was excellent; we had wonderful food and service, and the cocktails were great. I would definitely recommend to anyone, for any kind of occasion.
Our first visit to Nick Ryans. The food was delicious. My girlfriend liked her meal so much she wants to go back soon to revisit the flavor (Chicken Roulade). It was a weeknight so thereal wasn't a large crowd, it was so easy to hear each other. The atmosphere was great for a long overdue date night as well as a birthday. The drinks were on spot, perfectly balanced. Not too strong, not too weak. Our server, Ivy, was fantastic. She was incredibly helpful with menu suggestions and was super attentive. She made our experience that much better. We don't get to venture out that often so we like to try new places. Nick Ryan's is definitely on our list of places we'll return to in the future.
Two of us ordered the Rossi's Pasta. Horrible. Menu listed shiitake mushrooms and proscuitto, we got button mushrooms and regular ham with an obscene amount of red onions and very little pasta or flavor but served in so much liquid it was almost a soup; awful. My husband's NY strip steak was dry and overcooked. The other person in our party ordered the pork chop and said he liked it but I think he was just being polite. I found it to be rather overpriced for the less than mediocre meal we received and we were very disappointed. We were with some friends from out of town and I was actually embarrassed to have brought them there. We will never be returning and I can't recommend it in good conscience. Honestly we paid $150 for a meal I wouldn't pay $15 for. However, our server was a very polite young man and did a good job.
Outstanding lunch menu and close to the stadium. The best calamari in Lexington.
Food was served cold and not very good. For the price I’m expecting top notch food and service and we got neither.
Food was solid. Service was ok.
I am very new to the area, and I have Been to Nick Ryan's twice. Great value for excellent quality. I will be excited to visit again!
Great. Great food, great service!!
Really great location in Lexington. Atmosphere and service are excellent. Food was very good. The pork chop with grits and asparagus was fantastic.
Enjoyed the traditional Kentucky Hot Brown. Good menu options overall. Service was prompt, courteous. Host/hostess very welcoming.
