It was a wonderful dining experience. We will return!
Get the HOT BROWN
We went for brunch for my dad’s birthday. I have been there many times but never for brunch. Great mimosas, bloody Mary’s, and the eggs Benedict was awesome!
Our waitress was very sweet and did a great job. I wish I could remember her name. I had salmon on the spinach salad which was AWESOME!! This was our first time to your restaurant with some out of town friends. I will definitely be back!
Good service, good food and no rush. Table was reAdy upon arrival, cheerful hostess seated us. A pleasant experience. We will go back.
The food was good and the service was outstanding!
Food was amazing. And service was great
Service and food was great... a little noisy but just a couple of tables having a good time.
We had great service and tried the specials as well as the brisket… All were really good. Also great location to walk to Rupp Arena (we parked on the street).
The food was wonderful. We Arrived and we’re seated almost immediately. The one selection was very good, and the drink selection was amazing. Food was great!
It was loud. We had reservations and was seated in the bar area. The food had hardly any flavor in either of our dishes. It was disappointing for a place that requires a reservation. Tony’s would have been a much better choice for the occasion.
Saturday brunch was delicious! There are few places to get Maryland style egg Benedict in Lexington, but Nick Ryan’s has it! The portion size of the crab cakes was perfect and there was a wonderful Bloody Mary bar. We will definitely come back. If you’re in town for any reason, this should be on your short list of stops for brunch, lunch, dinner, and or drinks.
We requested table in bar area (more casual with TVs and less candlelight) and thoroughly enjoyed. Great food, as always.
We always enjoy Nick Ryan's. Great place to eat in Lexington!
My wife and I went for dinner on Valentines. Absolutely no dedicated parking. I was informed beforehand that they would be having a modified menu. The appetizers were wonderful but the entrees were average at best. This was our first time and we will not be going back.
Food was delicious. Had 3 course “special” Valentines menu which had many of their regular dishes at a much higher price than usual. Only had 3 Dessert choices none of which were great...you could only get either tiaramasu, 2 chocolate covered strawberries, or red velvet heart. Red velvet was more like a cookie with cream in the middle,so it was better than expected. Overall highly suggest going, just not on Valentines Day. Dinner for two (without alcohol) & tip was $130.
The service was great! Knowledgeable bar options. Classic, no fuss, well done food. Delicious!
Service and food were excellent!
Nick Ryan's was excellent; we had wonderful food and service, and the cocktails were great. I would definitely recommend to anyone, for any kind of occasion.
Our first visit to Nick Ryans. The food was delicious. My girlfriend liked her meal so much she wants to go back soon to revisit the flavor (Chicken Roulade). It was a weeknight so thereal wasn't a large crowd, it was so easy to hear each other. The atmosphere was great for a long overdue date night as well as a birthday. The drinks were on spot, perfectly balanced. Not too strong, not too weak. Our server, Ivy, was fantastic. She was incredibly helpful with menu suggestions and was super attentive. She made our experience that much better. We don't get to venture out that often so we like to try new places. Nick Ryan's is definitely on our list of places we'll return to in the future.
Two of us ordered the Rossi's Pasta. Horrible. Menu listed shiitake mushrooms and proscuitto, we got button mushrooms and regular ham with an obscene amount of red onions and very little pasta or flavor but served in so much liquid it was almost a soup; awful. My husband's NY strip steak was dry and overcooked. The other person in our party ordered the pork chop and said he liked it but I think he was just being polite. I found it to be rather overpriced for the less than mediocre meal we received and we were very disappointed. We were with some friends from out of town and I was actually embarrassed to have brought them there. We will never be returning and I can't recommend it in good conscience. Honestly we paid $150 for a meal I wouldn't pay $15 for. However, our server was a very polite young man and did a good job.
Outstanding lunch menu and close to the stadium. The best calamari in Lexington.
Food was served cold and not very good. For the price I’m expecting top notch food and service and we got neither.
Food was solid. Service was ok.
I am very new to the area, and I have Been to Nick Ryan's twice. Great value for excellent quality. I will be excited to visit again!
Great. Great food, great service!!
Really great location in Lexington. Atmosphere and service are excellent. Food was very good. The pork chop with grits and asparagus was fantastic.
Enjoyed the traditional Kentucky Hot Brown. Good menu options overall. Service was prompt, courteous. Host/hostess very welcoming.
Good on New Years eve. Good service, maybe a little over priced
The service was good and friendly. The menu had a lot of variety. Very nice portion, just right. I had an interesting craft martini made with gnger to broaden my horizons. Elegant white tablecloths but still a casual atmosphere.
Chose this place off of Open Table and it was a perfect choice. My husband had the signature, award winning pork chop and I had the salmon. Both were cooked to perfection. Service was terrific and the ambiance was great. When we go back to Lexington we will definitely go to Nick Ryan's for a meal !
The reason I had not received the restaurant is that it was the first time I didn't have good food; the steak I got (at this point, I cannot remember but I think it was flank steak) was really tough and not tender. I didn't want to complain because we were with friends and he didn't complain about his. I can't remember the dish's name; it was almost stated like a barbecue dish is all I can remember. (Sorry; it's been a month!)
Found this restaurant while driving in down town Lexington. Looked very inviting. Decided, to make reservations. Was not disappointed. Greeted cordially, seated in the bar area. Waitress, introduced herself and it was the beginning to a great meal, prompt and courteous service. The meal was delicious. Hidden treasure in downtown. Foodies will enjoy.
Very disappointed in the Rossi's pasta. Had a different yet lackluster taste. Shrimp wraps were good as always. Very concerned that this menu will not be able to keep up the pace in this town. We have been going there since it opened and this is very sad. This is not the first disappointment. On a brighter note our server Morgan was a delight!
Great Kentucky Gem! Recommend it. Nice atmosphere. They also have parking.
My first time there--took the office staff. Allen the server was outstanding. Appetizers good, price good, food good, service time good. Again, Allen was the best. No noise when we first came in but as it filled up, some noise but not enough that I couldn't hear my table mates. I despise loud restaurants so this fits the bill for me for lunch.
Great spot. Dirty martini was perfect. My steak was great. Service was quick. Server was attentive.
The food was excellent but we made reservations for a romantic anniversary dinner and specifically noted it on your website but we were seated in the bar near a crowd of extremely loud people who made our conversation virtually impossible.
When we first arrived the hostess was nothing short of rude! We were a party of six and was greeted by an annoyed hostess. I had Specified that we were there for a birthday. They never once acknowledged or said one word about it. I even mention it to our waiter a couple times and he still did not do anything. Also, all the tables around us received a bread before their meal. We were not offered any or given any. Mind you, my husband was drinking $25 glasses of pappy van winkle so it’s not like we weren’t spending money. The service was mediocre at best
Very good experience
They were out of almost everything that we ordered. The 2 wines we picked they didn't have, the appetizer we ordered they were out of and the dinner I chose (which there aren't many to pick from) was not in stock either.
However, the appetizer we got was good and the Filet & Mahi were tasty!
