Was extremely disappointing .. when the waitress forgets your first course for the whole table and goes straight to your mains .. you know it is all downhill .. and to put a compulsory tip on top of the bill is fine if you get good service but to not even get the meal you ordered .. please !!
This is a cozy crowded restaurant with decent food. Waiter tried to rush us. It is OK prior to a Lincoln Center performance. Prices are reasonable and are the best recommendation for the restaurant.
Great place to go after the MET, close by and good food... Something for everyone on the menu.
3 people went to dinner after a movie on the west side.
we ordered 3 salads where were on the small side, some confusion concerning dressing.
one ordered a whole bronzino which was fine well cooked and fresh.
2 ordered sword fish which was past its prime.
we will rethink this place as an after movie destination.
The service was attentive and the wine very good (Sancere Rose)
Always great food and service. We love it there. Andre is the best
Very friendly and helpful staff and service. Pizza from the wood burning oven was great. Handmade pastas...yummy
Really enjoyed the food, ambiance and service we will definitely be back
The restaurant was lovely. Our meal was outstanding, and the wait staff gave just the right amount of attention without being overbearing. I recommended this restaurant to a few people already.
The only downfall is the tables along the wall are a little too close for comfort when trying to have a conversation.
Always a great restaurant before Lincoln Center. Excellent food and service!
We had a good pre show dinner. Lovely decor. Kitchen staff definitely prepared but the restaurant was understaffed for a pre holiday week. Waitress was not prepared and made several mistakes. Food delicious. Drinks good but expensive. We did get to the show at Lincoln center on time
Nick & Toni's is a comfortable upscale neighborhood place. Upscale in ambience but a good value. The service is friendly and accommodating. My wife and I wanted soup on a cold night, and the manager arranged to have the chef bring out some soup that wasn't on the menu. Very nice!
What a lovely neighborhood gem of a restaurant! We enjoyed a lovely lunch of artichokes and artisan thin-crust margherita pizza, which were fresh and delicious! Couple that with some craft cocktails and friendly service and you'll definitely be back! Save room for dessert!
Wonderful restaurant. Will be missed tremendously
Good for casual or business lunch. Hamburgers and, sometimes, the chicken salad, are delicious.
Great food and terrific wine selection. Staff was very pleasant.
I haven't been in some years, i know the story and am so glasd to see that nothing has changed - it's the same wonderful food and ambiance.
Excellent restaurant for dinner pre-Lincoln Center performance. The food and service were good and if you get there in time for their price fix menu, the value is excellent.
Lovely ambience, helpful servers, and innovative food.
uninspiring. it had a cool local vibe but for me it wasn't really up to par for NYC.
Great pre-concert neighborhood find. Two of our party were late due to traffic and the staff accomodate all of us and get us out in time.
Food was delicious - we had the chicken and steak, and pear cobbler for dessert. Service was great, we had to go to a show and we were able to make it in time. Would definitely go back.
Fantastic service and food, as usual. Perfect choice for a date with my husband while visiting our old neighborhood.
Very pleasant wait-staff. Brick-oven pizza was very good; can't believe I ate it all!
Other entrées looked appetizing as they were being served to others. Expect upper west-side prices: $45.00 for 2 personal pies and one coke. I would definitely go back!
I went with my girlfriend for dinner before seeing The Nutcracker at Lincoln Center. The food was very very good. I had actually made the reservation mainly based on proximity to Lincoln Center and availability of time slots, but wow did I luck out. The wine was great, the 2 course prix fixe is easy, and the overall ambiance of the restaurant is very cozy. I was pleasantly surprised and definitely satisfied. I highly recommend the Short Rib as well as the Arctic Char!
First visit after moving to the neighborhood 5 months ago. GREAT place, service and food fight to be the top rating. Already booked a return visit. Great neighborhood asset.
Lovely place to meet friends and catch up, or even eat alone. Good food and good service.
We don't live in NY, but are here frequently, and know N & T's well. It never disappoints. Steven & George were welcoming. Tight seating but worth it. Rachel was our waitperson, and her knowledge and attention hit the right note. She let us taste a wine choice before deciding; accommodated an allergy to eggplant; and was generally upbeat and funny.
The swordfish was perfect (not pink but not dry); everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals as well. The pear dessert was worth the extra calories. This is a neighborhood place that maintains a high standard (even with their take-out, which we have also done). Our friends live 5 blox away, but had never been there. They will be back.
The food and service were excellent. Great staff, excellent atmosphere.
We had a wonderful brunch/lunch in this cozy Italian casual dining restaurant.
Our server was warm, friendly, and efficient. The prices were reasonable and
offered breakfast selections as well as Pizza from the wood burning oven onto other
lunch items for most any taste! Pizza is shareable and delicious thin crust!
I'd go back again anytime! Would like to try dinner next.
Bad service: The waiter was really rude, plates not cleared for 10+ minutes, menu didn't state there was a cream sauce in a dish (my wife can't eat cream). Just sub-standard for NYC.
Food and service always good. Staff very amenable to special requests when possible. Location great.
I have dined at Nick & Toni's many times before. It remains a bit cramped and service is a bit ragged - but cordial. However on this latest visit the entrees were especially excellent, particularly the vegetable accompaniments. The price remains a bit high but in line with the neighborhood. Two entrees, one beer, one dessert, two coffees, with tax and tip, about $110.00. It is very convenient for Lincoln Center.
Good food. Large portion. Very good sauces. Attentive service with assurance to get us to a performance at stated time. Staff very pleasant. Good value. Only suggestion would be to have slightly bigger tables... with multiple drinks, water, bread and butter the tables got crowded. Recommend.
Good place for pre-theatre / opera / ballet dinner at the Lincoln Centre as only a few steps away. Food quality was good with a menu that has options for all kind of tastebuds. The only minor critique - there is not much space between tables. Private conversations almost impossible.
Excellent food. Even better service. One if our favorite neighbhood spots.
Noisy, crowded with fair food. Service was fine.Goos for pre Lincoln Center dining.
Most of our dishes were very good but my fish was overcooked. I requested medium and it was totally dry.
Great neighborhood haunt. Friendly management; great pizza.
This is one of my favorite places, in addition that it is near the LC. The wait-staff is charming, knowledgeable and and. The wine list ia always appropriate and good. The food is pesented in a thoughtful manner in addtion to being delcious; always I would go more if I lived closer.
