Great Easter brunch complete with kids activities- face painting, balloon animals, etc. perfect for family eater brunch
Let me start by saying that we love the food at Nick & Sam's. However, our Easter brunch experience was less than desirable and not worth the $55/person price tag. For that price, we expected the ambiance to be nice and relaxing. What we got instead were kids running underfoot, cotton candy stickiness and kids digging through their eggs everywhere - at the table, on the floor etc. Not the upscale environment we wanted so definitely not worth the price for the experience we had - very disappointing.
We knew it would be busy on Easter, but weren't prepared for the chaos as well as the special buffet. Wish they would have advertised the fact you wouldn't be able to order off the menu and the huge price per person for the buffet. Not the quality we expected. We'll go back but never around a holiday again.
Favorite restaurant in town. Celebrated our 10 year anniversary there.
This is a highly regarded restaurant. We picked it for that reason, although had not tried it for ourselves previously. Bar was somewhat lively when we arrived, but restaurant itself was not and remained sparsely populated. Waitress was very nice and professional. Very good service from her. Food: Calamari appetizer was very good. Baked chicken on a "bed" of crispy brussels sprouts (bitter and hard). Chicken was alright. Guests had red snapper and thought it good. Scallops were okay but a bit spicey for wife's pallet. Bread rolls were awful packaged white bread. Overall, I gave a very low rating, because the price for this experience was very high for the rather ordinary food. Will choose another restaurant next time when looking to spend liberally for outstanding food.
Steaks were cold, lobster hash browns had 3 pieces of lobster and were cold, fish was over cooked and dry and also cold. 3rd strike for Nick and Sams.
As usual, N&S Grill was phenomenal. Always bring my out of town guests to one of your restaurants!
It’s a great place to go and dine. A great spot for a night date
The food was quite poor from start to finish. Out of 6 of us 5, were dissatisfied. We will not be going back.
Girls night out. Food and atmosphere was great. Would be fitting for a nice date.
Great atmosphere and great food. Service was prompt and non-intrusive. Was there for business dinner and did not feel pressured by staff to hurry up and leave. Had a great energy. Is in a great location. Will definitely return for future business and non-business occasions.
Our waitress was great. Lobster Mac was good and the ambiance was great.
Great food, great company, great service, great meat. What more can I say.
Love NSG. Great food and atmosphere. The staff is the best!! Five stars.
Avoid! Service is terrible.
Excellent food--and over all experience. Service / ambiance and food ---
Beautiful decor/ quiet atmosphere --
Late Valentines celebration.
Wonderful server and top notch food. Chilean Sea Bass - very tasty.
Average for the price.
Not sure we'd return.
Food was great atmosphere was nice and decor pretty
Chose N&S for Valentine dinner.
The Manager seated a walk-in couple while we waited to be seated / we had reservations!
Had 8:15 reservation..seated an hour later.
Courses of food were at least 20 minutes + apart
Lighting at our table was not intimate for a Valentine dinner/too glaring & bright
The food was B grade.
The Manager did comp half the meal.
Will not return.
The food was very good and the menu diverse. Yes he wait staff was friendly and attentive. One issue: I’m not a fan of TVs and did not care for TVs on and visible from pretty much everywhere in the restaurant.
The menu is a hot mess. I get that there is something for everyone but in this case nothing was particularly good. Sushi was tasteless, artichoke undercooked, the meatballs were ok.
In comparison to the other Steakhouses in the area and pricing. This location was sub-par in service, food quality, and overall experience.
Their servers should know specials, fill water when empty, and check on the table more as some items to improve on.
The hash-brown lobster side was plain. Breakfast potatoes with little lobster thrown on top.
The food is priced as a high end steak house but did not deliver. We tried it twice. We really want this place to be better since we live so near to it, but it has not yet delivered.
Slow service for business lunch.
We went early for our Valentine's dinner, it was a great experience! We enjoyed ourselves very much!
Shrimp stuffed pablano app was great. lobster Mac is great. Service great. Cool place.
Service was less than efficient and quality of food was below what one might expect for the high prices
In the Oakroom - room was great - no noise issues at all.
Preselected menu - all reported their food was good.
A great time was had by all.
The food was incredible, and the service was excellent. We ordered the Honey Pig pizza, which tasted wonderful. The crust was the best part of the pizza, drizzled with honey, if you ask me. Their sides are also excellent, we tried the fried onion rings and 3-cheese macaroni.
Will definitely be back for their filet mignon or bone-in ribeye in the future.
We always have great service and wonderful food and Nick and Sams Grille. Out host was super nice and let my son pick out the perfect table not he patio so he could watch the Olympics. Everyone at this restaurant is always welcoming and accommodating. Great neighborhood place!
Lunch was fair. Soup was cold.
Short staffed caused bad service.
I would not recommend this restaurant. First, the service was slow / poor, even though the restaurant was almost empty. Maybe a total of 4 tables. Slow to order, then the server brought out the wrong dish. Food was ok. Slow to get the check. The valet (had to valet) took a very long time to get the car (only one valet). Then I received an email from Open Table asking why I was a 'no show' for my reservation. I clearly told the hostess my name and that I had a reservation when I arrived. In fact, my lunch guest had already arrived and was seated when I arrived. Overall, not worth the effort. Negatives outweigh the positives.
Service unusually sporadic. Inattentive wait staff. Bill was $70 and received credit card slip to sign for $132! I ear here often and have never had this experience. I hope i don’t again. Otherwise is an excellent restaurant with good service normally.
As usual, our food was great. My pork chop was a little underdone for my taste. No waiting since you try doneness as they serve. Brought it back within minutes. Perfect! Checked by manager to make sure I was happy. Delicious. We had sushi, rib eye, filet & the chop. Birthday dessert was pretty cool and made our birthday guest very happy.
We met for a business lunch with a client. The service and food were good. It was not busy so it was quiet for us to discuss business issues comfortably. We would definitely come back again.
When seated there was broken glass on the table. The service was lacking, the chairs were wobbly and two members of our party's food was prepared incorrectly .Also, there was stading water on the mens restroom floor. I suggest looking elsewhere for a nice dinner.
I have been to Nick and Sams on a number of occasions, but when I took this party of 10 for a special occasion dinner, we had absolutely terrible service. Although our server was sweet and engaging it took almost 30 minutes to get a first cocktail and every food item was slow. We ordered wine for the table and each wine we ordered, they ran out. I think this may be a good place for 2-4 people, but not so great for a big party.
Great service & exceptional food! Great experience!
Great reputation and location. Food was good. Highly recommend this restaurant for atmosphere, service and food quality.
