Nick & Sam's Park Cities Ratings and Reviews
Chose N&S for Valentine dinner.
The Manager seated a walk-in couple while we waited to be seated / we had reservations!
Had 8:15 reservation..seated an hour later.
Courses of food were at least 20 minutes + apart
Lighting at our table was not intimate for a Valentine dinner/too glaring & bright
The food was B grade.
The Manager did comp half the meal.
Will not return.
In comparison to the other Steakhouses in the area and pricing. This location was sub-par in service, food quality, and overall experience.
Their servers should know specials, fill water when empty, and check on the table more as some items to improve on.
The hash-brown lobster side was plain. Breakfast potatoes with little lobster thrown on top.
The food is priced as a high end steak house but did not deliver. We tried it twice. We really want this place to be better since we live so near to it, but it has not yet delivered.
The food was incredible, and the service was excellent. We ordered the Honey Pig pizza, which tasted wonderful. The crust was the best part of the pizza, drizzled with honey, if you ask me. Their sides are also excellent, we tried the fried onion rings and 3-cheese macaroni.
Will definitely be back for their filet mignon or bone-in ribeye in the future.
We always have great service and wonderful food and Nick and Sams Grille. Out host was super nice and let my son pick out the perfect table not he patio so he could watch the Olympics. Everyone at this restaurant is always welcoming and accommodating. Great neighborhood place!
I would not recommend this restaurant. First, the service was slow / poor, even though the restaurant was almost empty. Maybe a total of 4 tables. Slow to order, then the server brought out the wrong dish. Food was ok. Slow to get the check. The valet (had to valet) took a very long time to get the car (only one valet). Then I received an email from Open Table asking why I was a 'no show' for my reservation. I clearly told the hostess my name and that I had a reservation when I arrived. In fact, my lunch guest had already arrived and was seated when I arrived. Overall, not worth the effort. Negatives outweigh the positives.
As usual, our food was great. My pork chop was a little underdone for my taste. No waiting since you try doneness as they serve. Brought it back within minutes. Perfect! Checked by manager to make sure I was happy. Delicious. We had sushi, rib eye, filet & the chop. Birthday dessert was pretty cool and made our birthday guest very happy.
When seated there was broken glass on the table. The service was lacking, the chairs were wobbly and two members of our party's food was prepared incorrectly .Also, there was stading water on the mens restroom floor. I suggest looking elsewhere for a nice dinner.
I have been to Nick and Sams on a number of occasions, but when I took this party of 10 for a special occasion dinner, we had absolutely terrible service. Although our server was sweet and engaging it took almost 30 minutes to get a first cocktail and every food item was slow. We ordered wine for the table and each wine we ordered, they ran out. I think this may be a good place for 2-4 people, but not so great for a big party.
Sides are amazing. All steaks in our party were tasteless and fatty. Value was not worth it for the price and the quality. Have had better steaks at Texas Roadhouse. Made reservations with comments about a birthday that we were celebrating. None of the staff even mentioned it. Second time to give it a try, but won’t be coming back any time soon.
I received a gift certificate for Christmas but they refused to honor it. They said it was only good for the uptown location even though it said NOTHING about it on the certificate. The filet mignon were ok, but difficult to cut with a steak knife. I won’t be eating here again. Better to go to Del Frisco or any other decent steak house.
We were completely disappointed upon arriving at Nick and Sam's with Christmas Dinner reservations to be seating in a very bright room with cartoons on the TV's and kids screaming. Additionally there was a dressed Santa Claus playing a saxophone very loudly. The hostess agreed to relocate us to a different table in the main dining room and the manager brought an appetizer complimentary while we waited. Once seated, we ordered which was a challenge as there were as many children in this area all talking very loudly and then to our dismay the Saxaphone Santa came in and created more loud disrupting noise. The ambiance was utter chaos which is not what we desired for an expensive dinner on Christmas Eve. Additionally there were no hand towels in the ladies restroom because of children running in and out and using everything. Ugh, we all had headaches by the end of this meal. To make matters worse, we ordered a to go sandwich for our daughter who was flying in at midnight and discovered the French fries were left out of the package. While the food was excellent and the staff very kind and accommodating, the uncontrolled environment ruined the evening. This was not an experience we will repeat.
Wait staff was inept. Mumbled thru specials. Brought wrong food and never corrected the order. Food had obviously been prepared far n advance and was served over cooked and cold. Had to ask 4 times for a simple bowl of vanilla ice cream! Will not return to nick and Sam’s.
Severely disappointed in the quality of food and the level of management in handling the quality of food they serve. From a culinary stand point "who serves cotton candy on tuna tartar!?" Steaks were low quality and sides no flavor. Definite reason they put salt and pepper on tables. My husbands steak looked like boiled in water and then when we complained the flipped it and sent it back out. This place is a definite enjoyment for who think name brand is quality! Hillstone wait was too extreme so thought we would try but terribly disappointing and wishing we would have waited for a higher quality establishment.
It seems like lunch is an afterthought here. Pretty sure the burger was a pre-made patty and the salad and other entrees looked similar to what you find in a cafeteria. Seems other people share my sentiment since there were about 15 people eating during prime time lunch.
