Tolerable of the extreme fun we were having
Awesome night out visiting my daughter at college. This place was just perfect
In a word, OUTSTANDING! My son, a chef in Kansas City, was visiting and I wanted to take him someplace that he would enjoy. Nick and Nino's turned out to be the perfect choice. Everything about the meal was outstanding. The service was outstanding and all of our food choices were similarly perfect. We were never rushed, and the noise level is so low that you can easily converse across the table. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but if you are looking for the best dining experience in Springfield, you can not go wrong at Nick and Nino's. As an aside, the view from the 30 floor restaurant is lovely. The city lights of Springfield make a perfect backdrop to a perfect dining experience.
Excellent food served in a refined manner in a beautiful setting.
Nick and Nino's is my favorite way to end the day - we always look forward to having Rick as a server, he is THE BEST!
We had a wonderful 10-year anniversary at Nick and Nino's. Our waiter, Rick, was wonderful and very informative. The view was impressive ( unfortunately it was rainy and foggy on that particular day). We were very impressed with the food and as a cook myself I'm very critical. Desert was wonderful and we taken by the chefs "happy anniversary" edition to the desert. Thanks to everyone for a great time!
It was my first but it won't be my last experience. It was outstanding the food was above excellent and our server was the best with a great attitude. The atmosphere was outstanding I have already made plans to come back next month with a few friends and stay at the hotel so they can enjoy the food and dining experience.
It took an unreasonably long time for food to arrive even though it was not a busy night, when it did the fish was over cooked and dried out. The waiter was apologetic and it was obvious something wrong was going on in the kitchen.
Steaks and sauces are outstanding. Sides are always good and dessert selections are always interesting and excellent. Rick is an extremely knowledgeable and caring server.
Great atmosphere. The food was terrific. Waitress was spot on. Highly recommended.
The food was good, atmosphere good, music a little loud, our waitress was slow and paid more attention to the other tables than ours.
we almost got up and walked out. I reserved ahead of time, and confirmed ahead of time. The dress code was Business Casual. My friend and I dress well, she had a dress on and I slacks, shirt and sport coat, to match the atmosphere of the Restaurant. We were seated along a wall instead of an open table by the window, I had to move the table away from the wall for comfort. The reason we wanted to leave, the table that the waitress waited on, the lady sitting at the table in our sight had her SHOES AND SOCKS OFF!!! Later on they let a couple in, Sat them at the Window, and the Guy had on Dirty Jeans, a Grey Tee Shirt, no Collar and Work Boots!!!!!!! I have pictures to prove it and I am sending to the Restaurant. What is Business Casual?????? We should have Left and our Bill was $160.00 not counting Tip. My advice to anyone wanting to dine at this restaurant, wear anything you want, its all about the $$$ not dressing for the occasion, it was my girlfriends Birthday, that was spoiled by unsightly guest that should have been stopped at the door.
The food was great and the service was absolutely excellent. I made a special request for a certain table and was accommodated. If I had to find something less than perfect, I would say that the Crab Cakes’s are not my favorite appetizer. We have eaten there many times before and I have to say I prefer the firecracker shrimp and calamari over the Crab Cakes. They were still good, just not my favorite item. I would totally recommend dining here.
The food was excellent although a bit pricey but I was warned ahead that it would be. Jenna was an excellent server with just the right amount of attention.
This place was excellent. Only complaint I have is with open table saying less than $30. Not true
Delicious meal and wonderful service. Pricey but worth it
Food and atmosphere are unique! Great views of the Springfield skyline! However, would have to rate lower because of service .... a second round of drinks were brought out (which we were charged for) that weren't ordered and when ordering dessert they would not swap out a scoop of vanilla ice cream for the (alcoholic) Manhattan that came with the chocolate cake even though it was for my 14yo son. (Turns out we were charged separately for the Manhattan that came with the cake anyway which could have easily been done without. You would think that they would care more about customer retention than leaving that $4+ charge on our $300+ dinner bill.
A bit on the pricey side, really paying for the ambiance, was a special occasion but wouldn’t consider for many more visits for a meal.
Our waiter was very patient as we celebrated our daughter’s accomplishments. He was also very knowledgeable about the food choices, how everything was prepared and what side orders would compliment our meal. Water glasses were always filled. The food was excellent! By far, this was the best meal we’ve had! We will make this our go to favorite! Excellence all around!!
Place is Fantastic. I’ve been coming here for almost 5 years. Some of my favorite dishes exist only in this thirty story getaway. Best views of Springfield, best meals of the world.
Amazing as always! Rick is the best!
This was our first time here and they did not disappoint. We were seated right away even though we were a little early. The staff was very attentive to our wants and needs. Wonderful bread basket and the steaks were delicious. We tried the Nicks potatoes to share, tasty but would probably try something else next time.
Wonderful dining experience - I always look forward to going to Nick and Nino's!
I’m never disappointed when I come here. The best steak I’ve had after every time I go. Service is always impeccable between the waiters assistant and waiter. I will always recommend this establishment.
Absolutely the best filets on the planet. The crust and sauce options are so fun to explore. Nicks potatoes are a must! Our server Rick was so attentive. Our only mishap was an unevenly adjoined table that caused a wine spill. Definitely going back for our next special occasion. Thank you for a great evening.
Very pleasantly surprised. One of the nicest and tastiest meals we have ever had in Springfield, IL. Will highly recommend it to friends and family. Excellent experience from start to finish.
Amazing food, service and view! Wonderful place to meet a new friend.
The atmosphere and Food were primo, however, the noise level made it hard to hear and the price was a bit much for a two-person dinner but the quality of the food left a very good taste in the mouth.
Beautiful view of the city lights. Our waiter, I believe his name was Rick, was outstanding. The best service Experience I have ever had. He truly took care of Customers, and was very professional! Food was amazing and the atmosphere very relaxed. Wonderful time.
Small portions. Very salty. Steak topping should be served on side. Cheesecake slice was miniscule. Overall very disappointing meal for price paid.
Went here last year and came back this year. It was better this year than last year and I did not think it could get any better!!!
Great food and service. Nice atmosphere. Very pricey Nice for a special occasion
On Valentine's evening they have a special menu with an appetizer to share, entree choice from 3 and desert with champagne. The meal and the service was wonderful and the atmosphere very nice for special occasions. My only complaint and reason for not giving a 5 star rating is there was not a desert choice, only one option. That option contained nuts and I have an allergy to nuts.
Great meal (scallops , sea base), great service with Rick. Very nice place for special occasion
We had an amazing anniversary night! Sebastian our server was incredible he was polite and helpful and curtious! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was amazing as well . We will be going back there! And we will be telling our friends!
Nick and Nino's has become my favorite restaurant in the area! The atmosphere and service are top notch, and they make you feel like the table is your's for the entire evening. Relaxed and elegant. A very special experience for a Springfield restaurant!
We had a great evening and the food was simply amazing.
Our waiter was outstanding!
I had requested a window seat for myself and my husband and our two friends for our 40th birthday celebration. The restaurant was elegant. The view of the city was awesome. The food was delicious and the waiter was on point from beginning to end. He was very attentive. The whole experience was worth the money.
Our server was knowledgeable, appropriately friendly, and efficient. She did not try to become our best friend and allowed us our space and time in ordering. The food, which is pricey for Springfield, Illinois, was delicious and made to perfection. Although our table was not right next to the window, we still had a decent view of Springfield at night. We were too full to taste the desserts, however, they looked delicious.
First time here and was very pleased. Food was delicious. A bit pricey though.
