Our small intimate dining experience is perfect for a romantic dinner, entertaining business client or a night out with a group of friends.
We serve only the finest certified Black Angus aged steaks along with a selection of mouth-watering entrees.
At Nick and Nino's penthouse steakhouse we treat every occasion like it's a special occasion.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday with two of our children. Our server, Amanda, and her assistant were polite, knowledgeable and timely. Food was very good and timing between courses was just about perfect. Can’t wait to go back!
The menu provides several outstanding dishes to choose from to cover all tastes. The service, from being greeted at the front door of the establishment and personally escorted to our table to the, wait staff that was very attentive, to our individual waiter who was knowledgeable, friendly, and plain outstanding is second to none in Springfield. The food was excellent and cooked perfectly to order. The staff does an excellent job of not "interfering" with the experience by piling up appetizers, salads, and entrees one after the other but, rather, they do a great job of delivering the next course at the exact appropriate time--so much more enjoyable than your chain restaurants! Not a complaint because you get what you pay for but, the menu is as pricey as any in central Illinois so be prepared to "splurge". Again, the splurging was well worth it!!
It was very warm and after telling the server it was still warm. Steaks are overpriced.
Best high-end restaurant in Springfield. Not just a meal- it was an experience.
Nice place..food and service was excellent..limited tables so service was very personal and noise level low..will definitely put this one on a regular basis!
The calamari special was fabulous. My husband had the lamb, and he was very pleased. I had the seared tuna, and it was cold. The plate looked like it had been sitting for awhile before I received it. Other than that it, we had a nice time.
Rick and overall service was exceptional!
Always a great meal! Can't imagine coming to Springfield without going to Nick and Ninos. Food was superb and service by Rick was amazing.
Lollipop lamb chop appetizer and boom boom shrimp were top notch. All 10 of us enjoyed our various entree’s and had some great values on the wine list.
Really delicious food, great ambience looking out at the city, attentive server. Highly recommend.
Soooooo we go here about once a month. Always always have had a good experience, however the hotel was night by a “flipper” and clearly the direction of the place has changed..., our service was terrible, had to wait on water for the love of god, and I mean that was after waiter 2 hours plus for our meal! We typically expect to pay 3-400 dollars for our meal which is fine, but moving forward.... never again. Just as the new management is trying to cut cost I too will be doing the same! Saputos, Augies Maldners here I come!
Food was good as always... service was the worst I’ve ever had at nick and ninos, they took over 15 min to get a drink to the table and we sat there for 20 min before they even took our initial drink order.
One of the best steakhouse meals I have ever had. The ambiance was very pleasant. Amanda, the server, could not have been better!
We found out about Nick and Ninos by accident. We were staying at a bed and breakfast type inn. The breakfast chef - Bradley - and my wife chatted about the quiche he was preparing for the next morning. He mentioned his regular gig at Nick and Ninos as their executive chef. We made reservations.
The ambiance is great. A small upscale dining room - holds maybe 30 diners at a time. The music was light (old big band, Sinatra) and tables are spaced just right. The window seats have a view of the city from thirty stories up.
Our server, Amanda, was fantastic. Helpful but not intrusive, great pacing of the dishes and water refills at the right moment.
At the chef's recommendation, we both ordered sea bass. I also ordered the lobster bisque, it was excellent. My wife got a caesar salad, not worth the charge. The sea bass may be the best prepared seafood I have had at a restaurant. Light, tender, cooked perfectly. Shredded crispy sweet potatoes topped the fish and sat on a drizzel of smoked pepper cream sauce, grilled tomato salsa on wilted baby spinach.
Finally, chef Bradley came out to the dining are to chat with us. I noticed he did that with several patrons. He made the evening special.
Birthday dinner for my husband. It was very leisurely, nicely paced, and excellent food.
I was there two nights in a row for work dinners and service and food were phenomenal both evenings. Amanda is one of the best servers I’ve ever had.
Thanks for the great hospitality!
Thank you, Rick, for another great night!
Waitress was able to help us choose the crusts and sauces we ordered with our filet flight. She was extremely knowledgeable about the dishes. LOVED the filets. The desserts were awesome. I had a rich chocolate ice cream dessert and my husband had an apple/Carmel cheesecake dessert. The city sights from the 30th floor penthouse were beautiful as the sun was setting.
We loved the calamari. The ambiance and view were wonderful. Rick's service was outstanding! A perfect evening.
Our experience at Nick and Nino's was great! The staff was very friendly, courteous, and prompt. The menu was a bit pricey, but the quality of the food was great. The overall ambiance was also great and offered a nice view of the downtown Springfield, IL area. We plan on making this a monthly experience, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a place to spend a special occasion.
One of my favorite spots, prices are more affordable as ever and the food puts up a fight. Extremely recommended for anyone that calls themselves a foodie!
We drive over an hour to dine at this fabulous establishment! Terrific views, courteous and knowledgable staff, delicious menu expertly prepared.
Best food and services south of Chicago and north of St Louis. Little noisy as they had wedding party present with several drunk patrons.
Otherwise please be aware that the employee who follows up with reservations will always state window seats not guaranteed and not of the best personality for business greeter...? Job burnout as been to Nick and Ninos countless times and he has same exact speech and poor disposition.
I understand your seating policy. I asked for a window table and I was told you could not reserve those. It was my our 50th anniversary dinner. We have been coming to you since you opened, for our annual celebration. Just this once I would have thought since I notified you an entire month out that you could ha e watched for us and made an exception for such a rare occasion. Especially since of the 5 tables at the windows, four of the five patrons dined until almost the same duration as we did. That was 2 hours. I sent almost $250 One couple offered us their table even. Would it have been so terrible to do this for us this once? You ask what can we do to make our evening extra special. So now you know, for OTHERS sake. All else was perfect. The waiter was outstanding. Food spot on. Even Lime Street will reserve a table under those circumstances. Fritzs also. Amazing how you cannot. Or maybe will not. We o it wanted 1 table for 2 hours. Thank you for asking what we thought about the evening. Now you know.
One of the best restaurants we have had the pleasure of dining. Service, food and view were outstanding
Overall service and food was excellent! View was awesome! Restaurant is outdated with an old vibe. There was bread crumbs on the velvet chair when we arrived. Nothing major, just for the money a person would like the best of everything. The steak was to die for along with the view of the city. Very nice evening.
Best restaurant in town. Not only is the food phenomenal but the service is perfection.
I have been to Nick and Nino before and it was great This time I was Not happy
Delicious and romantic with a phenomenal view for a superb time.
The restaurant was a culinary experience I had been missing all my life in Illinois. The staff was very professional, and the view was unbeatable.
I would like to thank our waiter Rick he is a class act.
My experience was flawless.
The food was delicious. Our waiter was very personable and we didn’t feel rushed with our meal. I thought the portion size was good. With some fine dining the portion sizes can be small. I had hoped that the desert would have been a bigger portion. The cake was delicious but thought I would of gotten more for the price. Maybe I just have too big of a sweet tooth. The Host was very personable as well. I would come back for special occasions. It was a very relaxed evening.
Great place for nice evening out. Nice ambiance. Lobster bisque outstanding with hint of cayenne pepper. Great steaks (had the chimichurri sauce). Rick the waiter makes the experience-best in town.
Outstanding views and service. A little pricey but overall worth it.
We enjoyed a lovely meal for our work dinner. The waitress, Amanda was amazing, very upbeat and personable. Unfortunately we came the day after the a/c broke and although it was "fixed" it was unbelievably hot in the restaurant. The staff did their best to accommodate us and for that I would give 5 stars. The food was delicious, although I am not sure that the price actually represents it very well. Will definitely be returning again for another special meal.
The air was not working. It was 6:30pm. They said 30 minutes in that they had just got the air fix and it was slowly working. We were offered a free alcoholic mojito, but I'm a recovering alcoholic, so I was offered a non-alcoholic mojito. It sucked. I only took 2 sips. We drank tons of water. When the food started coming, and we began to eat, we were miserable. Our bodies kicked into high heat and we were visibly sweating. He tried splashing with cold water in the bathroom, but since its automatic, he got warm water to splash. I tried fanning myself, which we all know doesn't help in the end. Food was impeccable. It always is! Service was just as good! Which it always is. We would have really liked a 10% or 20% discount on our food since we had to endure the hot with such an expensive meal! We will return again and I'll call ahead to make sure the air is working because we expect the best experience when we are driving 40minutes to get there.
We have told many about this restaurant. We live in Florida but it is a favorite stopping place for fine dining. I love that no cold air vents are blowing on me there also.
We were visiting Springfield with our kids and our 5 month old granddaughter. When we arrived the waiter offered us a free mojito because the air conditioner was slow to get going and it was really hot outside. Turned out the air conditioner was not working at all and the baby was over heating so bad the parents had to take her in the lobby to cool off and we had to take our kids food to go. For a $400 dinner it would have been nice if they were honest with us and said they had no air conditioning in the restaurant. Food was delicious and the waiter was pleasant but too hot.
Staff is amazing and Rick. Keep up the great work.
Great service, great location on top of the Wyndham hotel, filet was cooked very well, medium to order, could have used slightly more char on the outside.
What an intimate and incredible dining experience! Excellent food, great service and ambiance!
