I had requested a window seat for myself and my husband and our two friends for our 40th birthday celebration. The restaurant was elegant. The view of the city was awesome. The food was delicious and the waiter was on point from beginning to end. He was very attentive. The whole experience was worth the money.
Our server was knowledgeable, appropriately friendly, and efficient. She did not try to become our best friend and allowed us our space and time in ordering. The food, which is pricey for Springfield, Illinois, was delicious and made to perfection. Although our table was not right next to the window, we still had a decent view of Springfield at night. We were too full to taste the desserts, however, they looked delicious.
First time here and was very pleased. Food was delicious. A bit pricey though.
Outstanding service provided by Amanda over the course of our two hour meal. She was efficient and conversational. Plenty of time between courses for conversation and settling. Ample servings but we left satisfied and not like a stuffed pig.
Christmas with loved ones
Everything from being greeted by the host/coat check, the young lady who refils the water, our server, to every morsel of food was impeccable!! We will return, and I have already recommended to friends!!
When they first opened we were disappointed in the food for the money. This time we were not disappointed except that we had requested a window and even though we were there when they opened we did not get a window table.
The lobster bisque, bread assortment, steak filet, salmon, scalloped potatoes and deserts were outstanding! Our favorite appetizer has always been the firecracker shrimp; however, they are now using a little too much breading and need to tone that down a bit in order to restore them to exceptional. Was there for New Years Eve and temp was too warm. The staff is excellent! Will definitely go back.
This is a restaurant that sets a benchmark for all others to be judged. When something isn’t broke you don’t fix it and this place is perfectly perfect!!
Never a bad experience w/ consistency being their wheelhouse. Food, service & atmosphere all top notch. Rick has been a welcomed staple that always exceeds expectations.
Had our favorite waiter, Rick, who always makes the experience special. Food is always good but a bit overpriced.
Beautiful restaurant at the top of Springfield Illinois. The food was amazing - made reservations for one evening and loved it so much we returned the following evening. It was worth every penny. Excellent service - beautiful view, wonderful atmosphere, amazing service - a true find!
My husband and I are very picky about our steaks and I have to say they were delicious! Perfectly prepared too! The hash brown caserol was very good just WAYYYYY to large for me. We had a wonderful time!
Superb! A cut above; literally.
Jenna was fantastic! She helped make it a great meal!
I had planned a special evening for my girlfriend to propose to her at dinner and the staff went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The food and service were both amazing.
We have eaten there several times and it is by far the nicest restaurant with the best steaks in Springfield Illinois.
The best fancy dining food ambience presentation and atmosphere I've ever experienced. Staff was phenomenal!!
Great restaurant. The best service in town. Thanks Jennifer...
Staff was great and ambiance was awesome! Ordered the Cowboy Ribeye and a side of Risotto. The Risotto was fantastic and wish I Would have just ordered that alone.
The Steak for what they claimed being aged was one of the worst Ribeyes I’ve had in a long time. I’ve had Aged Steaks from some of the best Steakhouses in the US and would put this in the category of well below par for the price.
You know a good Ribeye when you have nothing left on the plate.
Would I go back? Yes for the Risotto but would stay away from the steak.
Shown great service from the time we were sat until the time we departed. Waitress was a joy and the chef really prepared an above outstanding meal. Would highly recommend for any occasion, especially special occasions.
Food and service was outstanding !
Good was really good. We had some challenges with our server. I would recommend the restaurant and hope you get a server who is on their game.
Our waitress Amanda was wonderful, provided great customer service! The food was delicious. Can’t wait to go back!
We love Nick and Nino’s for special occasions. It’s definitely our favorite fine dining spot in Springfield. Chef Bradley is awesome!!
Great ambience, quiet atmosphere, great food and drinks. Staff is friendly and seem happy to serve us. Highly recommend for a special occassion or a date night.
Excellent food and atmosphere, great view
This place was amazing. Very creative menu combinations, and the food was to die for. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
Excellent food and our server, Rick, was outstanding. Would definitely return when in the area
Food was very good. Service attentive but not overbearing
I would return
Excellent! Great meal! Amazing service. Above and beyond expectations! Even got to see a perfect sunset!
The food was amazing!!! The best restaurant in Springfield
We have dined mutiple times and never been disappointed. Well worth the money!
My husband and I were in town and because it was our anniversary thought this would be a nicer setting than some of the typical local restaurants. We were not disappointed- our dinner was delicious and perfectly prepared. We enjoyed the crab cake appetizer and delicious bread basket which was so unique. My husband had the pork chops and I had the nocchi with grilled chicken - both dishes were excellent! Wine and cocktails were great as well. We enjoyed the apple crumb cheesecake and mini key lime pie which were both decorated for our celebration, nice touch.
Most of all was the service - Rick was knowledgeable, kind and enthusiastic about what the chef had prepared. We’re from Chicago and have had the opportunity to dine in a wide variety of restaurants; I would book a table wherever Rick is serving, he simply made our experience one to remember - wonderful!
Amazing place. Reccomend it to everyone! One of the most amazing places I've ever been. Best steak I've ever had.
This is a very pricey restaurant for Springfield. I live part of the time in the Chicago area, so I dine out often at high end restaurants and do not mind paying a lot for exceptional food and great service. At Nick & Nino's, I started with the antipasto platter. It only had 2 cheeses, one of which was a deli style cheddar that can be purchased at any grocery store. The other was a soft goat, which was passable, but can also be purchased at any grocery store. Surprisingly, there was no blue. The platter also featured prosciutto which, to the chef's credit, must have been sliced in-house. Unfortunately, the reason I think that it was sliced in-house is because it was sliced too thickly and had the consistency of a slice of regular ham. I ordered the steamed halibut for my main course and it was overcooked and very dry. The halibut was accompanied by navy beans which were mealy and al dente, which means that they were under cooked. My dining companion had the cowboy cut ribeye. The ribeye had a tendon running through the entire steak. The food was simply not up to the level of the prices. I have dined at Nick & Nino's before, but have not been there for at least a year, due to the fact that the main starch accompanying virtually every entree was a sweet potato, which I do not like, in some form or other. They have since changed the menu and remedied that situation, so I decided to give it another shot. Our waiter was excellent. Despite the good service, this restaurant, again, fell short.
We went around 930 pm so as we were trying to have a romantic dinner the staff was trying to clean up. Vacuuming the floor while we were trying to eat and the staff turned up the lights so they could see so the whole romantic evening disappeared. I had talked so highly of the place but was disappointed in the atmosphere. Actually kinda of embarrassed in front of my date. Other than those facts the food was delicious.
As usual food was excellent. Our server-Rick was very professional and attentive
We went to Nick and Ninos to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it sure didn't disappoint us. Food was great, service was great, and the view was best of all.
