   We make a point of going to this restaurant whenever we are in town! The food is delicious, the service is awesome! Ask for Tanya! I got the Bronzino (Now my new favorite)! and My husband ordered the salmon, we split a salad. Tanya recommended the perfect Sake match.

   Jade and Tanya were outstanding servers again!!! (Always!). Adjusting to the new menu - the sushi is always outstanding... but I miss the seared King Salmon Roll :( the new robata-grilled whole bronzino with sansho butter and shiso chimichurri was very good - very different - new experience!

   This has been one of just several poor service experiences I have had at Nextdoor recently. It’s quite upsetting since the food here is really good and it’s one of my favorite restaurants in Rochester or at least it used to be. Our server came by our table several times to confirm what he had written down as our order because he “couldn’t read his own handwriting“. He then would bring over all of the wrong food and it seemed like the entire section was getting each other‘s orders. Our food took a very long time to come out.

   We prefer the dining area behind the bar rather than the main dining room. As always, the drinks, dinner, and desert were fabulous!

   I had a delightful and blissful dinner and lively conversation at Next Door! It was a real gift to end a beautiful spring day here. Jade was wonderful and very attentive, thank you Jade! The salmon and avocado onigiri was absolutely delicious and fun to eat! The miso, shishitos, nigiri of hamachi, ebi and ikura, the Branzino and rice, guava sorbet and surprise banana pecan ice cream - thank you William! - made for a great meal. Thank you all at Next Door for your hospitality, hard work, energy and care. See you soon!

    Reliably excellent experience! Noise level was very manageable on a thursday evening in a booth (one of our party has mild hearing impairment). the new desserts were INCREDIBLE! Planning to take international guests to the Next Door in NYC next month.
