Diners' Choice Winners: Best Overall
Newcastle's best restaurants based upon thousands of OpenTable diner reviews
We usually visit the Jolly Fisherman for its famous lunchtime crab sandwiches but the seafood lover in the family caught the 'Taste of the Sea' item on the menu so we decided to visit for an evening meal. Seafood is very good, not a huge menu but dinner was nicely presented and tasty. Service could do with a bit of improvement but I think there was a new member of staff being trained that night so allowances were made. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Wedding anniversary dinner. The food was very well presented, imaginatively cooked and flavoursome. The amuse bouche dishes were excellent and generously served. Although we dined on a Monday evening and the restaurant was consequently not particularly full, we nonetheless very much enjoyed the occasion. MoreOpenTable Diner -
