New Rebozo Oak Park
New Rebozo, which is run by Chef Paco, serves traditional Mexican dishes that have received awards for their authenticity. The menu is filled with a variety of spicy, sour and sweet flavors. These dishes are never prepared in heavy grease or pork fat, providing guests with healthier, more flavorful options to enjoy. Diners can stop by and sample one of the 21 different moles, or opt for the Fiesta Mole that features enchiladas covered in six different moles. New Rebozo also features seasonal dishes that use traditional spices and local ingredients, like the Chile Nogada that's only available between September and December.
Visitors to New Rebozo can also try a traditional margarita with their meals, or branch out and discover the pomegranate margarita for new and interesting tastes. From appetizers to dishes, such as carne tampiquena and enchiladas Frida, there is an option available that everyone can enjoy.
Another great dinner at New Rebozo!!! My three kids all got the Fiesta Mole. They all agreed that the sunflower mole was their favorite. The eggplant mole was awesome as well.
Simply superb mole inventions on a plate of 6 enchiladas. Eating outside on the patio was delightful on a pleasant evening. Taco soup was also creative, but not much soup — too much bean content (refried?)

Chef Paco is a gem. He makes you feel wonderful every time that you arrive. He is a fantastic salesman. He has upgraded his spiel with technology. He has pictures of everything on the iPad. The food is truly spectacular. We had fantastic jicama salad as an entree. Two special Margaritas. One Hibiscus and one Tamarind. The Tamarind margarita came with a Tamarind fruit roll up on a stick and a Tamarind pod (don’t eat the seeds). One of us had fish tacos with several different salsas on each taco. We also had Chef Paco’s special molé dish. 6 enchiladas each with a different molé. He has recipes for 29 Molés. You’d have to be crazy to make molé from eggplant. I guess that Chef Paco is on a continuum from brilliance to insane.

Saw this restaurant featured on the food network. Mole being my favorite Mexican food, this place was Heaven on Earth. Chef Paco addresses every table personally, with enthusiasm and humor. A great experience, we will be back.
We were celebrating our anniversary and couldn’t think of a better place to do it. We started with outstanding guacamole and my wife had an excellent margarita. All our entrees were outstanding and the service was attentive without being intrusive. We have been coming to the New Rebozo since our now 20 year old daughter was a newborn. As usual, Chef Paco greeted us warmly and enthusiastically described the specials. Also as usual, his enthusiasm was entirely warranted.
Great little restaurant in Oak Park. Chef Paco swung by our table and recommended a delicious appetizer. Talapia tacos very good. After dinner Chef Paco came by and recommended an apertif that was delicious. Certainly going to add this gem to our regular rotation.

Great service. Great food. The owner makes everyone “feel like a regular”. In the summer, sit in the patio. This will become one of our regular stops in Oak Park.
Very unique and delicious Mexican-style dishes prepared with a unique flare by Chef Paco. We ate on the patio in the back and spent 2 and 1/2 hrs enjoying a fabulous meal. Chef Paco was personally very attentive as was all of the wait staff. This is a wonderful, unique restaurant with delicious food and fabulous service.
We just love this restaurant. Paco is so friendly and greets guests as old friends. The food is outstanding and the service is very good. I have the enchiladas Frida, just a culinary treat. Do not miss this gem in Oak Park
I just loved the chef and how he came to each table but other than that the service was mediocre as well as the food. I expected much more out of the food especially for what I paid.
Road cionstruction makes this a challenge ... but "Oh My God" this is a neat place. Chef Paco walsk the floor and makes sure all of his guests are enjoying themselves

This is the second time me and my have dined at the New Rebozo and it was as excellent as the first time we went there, but I have one question why the owner doesn't have a parking lot? it makes it defalcate to park!

Chef Paco always makes a meal an adventure. And this time again he succeeded. We started with a sample of six moles, which were delicious. My wife ordered the nights special of Talapia Tacos topped with a mango salsa. I ordered his Shrimp Diablo. Both meals were fabulous and would be ordered again. We topped off our meal with a trio of mini Flans with different flavors. A fantastic night filled with fantastic food. Absolutely recommended and will visit again
Food is always good. But they forgot my rice and beans after twice requested. Other then that we love going there.

Chef Paco has been creating original and delectable dishes for twenty years in Oak Park. Our children have grown up tasting and making yummy guacamole in Chef's restaurant. 10 or more years from when they did these "field trips" with our Apple Award winning gym teacher, one of our children says it was the most memorable field trip ever!
Chef Paco pays special attention to all his guests. His personal touch can be felt in the ambiance, food, and service. If you haven't tried it, the jicama salad is a must have appetizer in the summer months. It's a tangy, citrus-filled, refreshing salad medley of jicama, mango, tangerine, cucumber, lime, and spices. Delicious!
Very disappointing. They had our reservation because I got a phone call from them to confirm we were coming. It was a Saturday eve, 7:00pm reservation for 3. It was busy. When we arrived at 6:58pm, there were 5 people standing in line at the check-in desk (party of 2 and one of 3). Soon, there were 2 other parties lined up behind us (party of 3 and one of 4). All of us had reservations through Open Table. We chatted, frustrated, in line. The line was out the door onto the sidewalk. A very cramped space. We all were squished together and had to maneuver to allow diners to squeeze by to leave the restaurant. We waited 12 minutes before anyone acknowledged our existence. The young woman hostess (19 to 22 years old?) who seats the guests was also cleaning tables and taking salsa and chips to the tables. No one greeted any of us in line, saying, "welcome" or we will be with you soon"... When it was finally our turn, the hostess never asked if we had a reservation, what our name was (in order to mark down our reservation with Open Table). I had to ask her twice to take our name to verify we had shown up for our reservation. When she seated two other groups that were standing with us, she just asked "how many in your party?" and never asked their names. The restaurant is cramped. The food was pretty OK, nothing terribly special. If we ever go back, it will not be on a Saturday eve. My husband reminded me that when we had come here years ago it was just "average." REALLY POORLY RUN. Unpleasant eve.

This place is a gem in that you get excellent drinks and food hat is interesting and innovative at a very reasonable price. Chef Paco makes everyone welcome, and his ebullience and enthusiasm sets the tone for all who work for him.

New Rebozo Mexican Restaurant was great, I liked the idea that the chef came out to great us and announced the type of menu and explained the different courses of the menu. The food was well prepared and it was hot. This was one the best Mexican cuisine that me and my family had.
The food is excellent. Chef Paco is one of a kind. His moles are unique and delicious.
