We love dining at Luke. The menu is so unique and creative. Our server, Curtis, was perfect! We started with a dozen raw oysters. They were fantastic. The gumbo was quite tasty and my husband loved his oyster salad. We will definitely dine here again!

From start to finish, everything was spectacular. A cocktail in the courtyard while we waited for our table was sensational. The service and the food was wonderful. The bananas foster was immaculate, as well as the turtle soup. I would absolutely recommend.

Mr. B’s is a special New Orleans treat! Come early and sit by a window— great view! We had wonderful service from Anton, and especially enjoyed the Wood-Grilled Redfish, the Crawfish in Puff Pastry, the Lobster Ravioli, and an outstanding Lemon Meringue Pie. We never come to NOLA without stopping here!

We arrived on-time, and we were seated promptly. From the start to finish, the service was outstanding! We started with two appetizers: the lobster dumplings and tempura snapper breast. The lobster dumplings were light and very good, but in our collective opinion they pale in comparison to the tempura snapper breast. The latter was extremely flavorful and satisfying. The Asian slaw upon which the three pieces were plated was equally outstanding. For entrees, we ordered Scalibut and the Duroc pork chop. Both were incredible. Obviously, the fish was lighter, but that is not to discount the presentation or flavor. The pork chop, which I noted one person on the Facebook page remarked no one goes to GW Fins for the pork chop, was amazing. Anyone who has experienced quality Duroc pork knows that it is extremely flavorable for lean pork. The recommended temperature (medium) was spot on for this lean piece of meat. The goat cheese polenta (grits) were also very good. It was delicate and understated, but it was a nice complement to the pork. For dessert, we shared the Salty Malty Ice Cream Pie. It was very good! If you like a dessert that features salt and sugar, then I cannot recommend it highly enough. Overall, the visit exceeded all expectations! By the way, the locals with whom we spoke say this is a seafood destination.

Antoine's has maintained its charm even with all the lower level acceptance crap going on in today's world. Antoine's is so refreshing compared to many other restaurants who have succumbed to lower standards. There was a couple with 3 young children, 2 boys and a girl attending. The boys were dressed in suits and bow ties and the girl in a princess dress, I made a point of complimenting them on their dress for the occasion! We need to maintain the respect and ambiance that Antoine's provides! Bravo!

Discover New Orleans

French, Spanish and Creole influences evolved New Orleans cuisine into a genre all its own. Combine Gulf coast seafood, a butter-based sauce and Cajun spices, and you’re looking at a classic Nola dish. Take the famed crawfish boil, for instance, which locals advise is best eaten as a family. In the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, the restaurant industry banded together to support their city in the wake of serious devastation. New restaurants began opening their doors, and today you’ll find a wealth of cuisines that span the classics to modern reinventions to everything in between.
