New Campo Argentino Ratings and Reviews
Excellent food and service. Atmosphere was quiet and suitable for conversation. The waitress was very helpful and explained everything well. The food was excellent and large portions. Bit of a ride from South Beach but worth it for the different atmosphere. We will be back.
Visited "New Campo Argentino" and the service was great. We were greeted nicely, were placed at a comfortable table and the wine selection was of good quality. I am a person who really likes to eat roasted meat, and the dish I ate was very tasty and cooked very well.
The waitress was very attentive to our needs.
Briefly: excellent food choices, variety in wines and good attention.
Recommended for dinner with friends and family, and to taste delicious roast beef!
This was my first time using Opentable, I reserved a table while on my way to the restaurant. When I arrived I had my window table set up for myself and was greeted by a very sympathetic hostess. I loved everything this place had to offer, from the small personal bottle of wine to the delicious bruschetta and chicken piccata. The staff was really friendly. The atmosphere relaxed and the music was great. I will definitely come back.
This place is not the best. A typical "Spanish" Argentinean restaurant. Don't waste your time. Instead spend a little more money but don't expect great service from another restaurant similar but wayyyyy better called "Las Vacas Gordas" Service is bad at both anyways but better food at Las Vacas Gordas
We'll being from Argentina I was not impressed. I live in Miami and the service was not good high prices wines, server was not very good. Server sold us bottle water instead if tap, server would not bring us a side of pasta without charging us for full dish price. I live in Boca and we would have returned more often but not now. The server must have thought we we're tourists and tried to plan games.
Having read other reviews I was really looking forward to dinner at this restaurant. Unfortunately, my personal experience was far different than the average review.
First, the food is tremendously overpriced given the ambience, service, quality of the food and the restaurant's location. It was top level steak house pricing in a strip mall neighborhood location. The meat was good but certainly not the quality you would usually associate with an Argentine steak house.
Service was unfriendly and frankly rather poor. We had to specifically ask for our water glasses to be refilled on several occasions. Our order was partially taken incorrectly and the effort to remedy the mistake was so half-hearted that we just decided to forego the change.
We have no plans to return in the future.
No nonsense nice little eatery where the food is home prepared and tasty. Steaks and grilled meats are what to have but everything was good including the home made chicken tenders for the kids. Prices are not low but reasonable compared to hotels on the same road.
This place gets mixed reviews on Yelp so we didn't know what to expect. But we were pleasantly surprised. Appetizer mussels were perfectly steamed - still moist and tender with plenty of garlic. The New York strip came as we ordered it - rare - which really pleased us since many Latin places grill meat to overdone toughness. The steak was flavorful and tender. One order was plenty for two to split, especilly with an order of fresh french fries on the side. Deserts were excellent. Crepes with dulce de leite (condensed milk) were a rich and sinful delight. Grilled merengue pieces in fruit compote were tasty too. Unfortunately the wine list was limited and disappointing. But overall we would gladly return to this quality restaurant.
