   The food was fantastic. But that was the best part. The service was sporadic - either super-attentive or never around. The atmosphere - spare, cold and a little dingy (maybe it was the lighting). It also smelled funny when I first walked in - kind of like disinfectant hiding a garbage-like odor. My nose eventually adjusted. And boy are the acoustics awful. The sound reverberates off the walls making it very hard to hear- and causing people to speak at a higher volume But the food - loved it all. Not sure I'll head back anytime soon. Unless I get takeout. Very expensive for lack of ambiance, so-so service and bad sound.

   Came for nyc restaurant week. The sushi and the bowl were absolutely great, love it so much! But the matcha cake was dry and I can’t eat with a wooden spoon!? (then I asked for a fork) made me thinking the cake might have been kept for long... overall I enjoyed my lunch at Neta

   I took a friend to Neta to celebrate our birthdays for restaurant week. Though the menu appeared to include 3 courses, it actually only included two and was charged extra for the desserts listed in the prix fixe menu. That felt pretty misleading and the dessert was not spectacular so never would have ordered if I didn't think it was a part of the prix fixe. The service was pretty unfriendly and was charged for more expensive drinks than we ordered. When I pointed this out, the service just took the check and plunked a new one of the table, no apology, no nothing. Overall, the food was good (especially the sashimi) but I would not return there due to the other issues. For their regular menu, I could spend 100$ a person elsewhere and get a lot better service and equal quality food.

   RW menu is similar to the regular lunch menu. The Sushi was good, but some of the pieces tasted a bit *not fresh*; the salmon roe bowl was just average, but the umami bowl was great.

    A hidden gem right by NYU. I went to Neta during restaurant week and would definitely come back. Their sushi and sashimi are fresh. The restaurant is a nice place to catch up and have lunch with a friend. Their portions are generous! We particularly liked their dessert- the banana miso ice cream!

    Came here for restaurant week and the 3 course menu was great. The best course was the main. I had the Softshell Crab Karaagemarket salad, and they gave a good serving of soft shell crab.

    I was there for the restaurant week. $42 dinner set with 5 pieces of sashimi/sushi, steak/crab, cake/ice cream. The food is superb! Super fresh and well cooked. We also ordered cocktails: Tokyo and the one with spice. The service is good, except the room is a little bit tight and only few waiters are available. Make a reservation before your visit, and the high top seatings are not bad.

    We came here because of the 4 stars rating on yelps. My personal experience with them was not impressed at all. The place was loud and noisy. The service was okay, but the quality on the sushi/sashimi definitely not up to par. It was disappointing. This place is overrated, overpriced and underwhelmed.

    Several options to choose from that all were reasonably priced. We went for the lunch Omakase and it was a nice variety and amount; the fish was very fresh. Would love to come back and try something different. Our waitress was lovely and helped us find a great bottle of sake.

    This is the 3rd time I've dined here in the last 2 months. The location, food, and service are all very good. I doubt that we will come back until the weather cools off. The restaurant was uncomfortably warm (our reservation was at 7:15pm and the restaurant was not crowded on this 4th of July evening). There was a AC unit blowing by the door, but the one in our seating area near the rear was not on. We asked to move to a cooler area of the restaurant to no avail in spite of lots of open tables near the front. Probably due to holiday, the gentleman that we believe is the manager (or owner) that we had seen the previous two trips wasn't there.

    First time in a year that I am back here for dinner . I like the omakase. Yes the food is not as imaginative as it was under the old chef. But still a solid choice with an amazing sake list

    Less than stellar food. Tiny menu - they removed a few dishes that are published on the website and on the web so this was disappointing and gals advertising. We struggled to work out what to order as menu was small and we didn’t love the choices. Fish was very fresh however if you go the raw choice. Service slow.

    Anto, our waiter, was great and helped us choose the best dishes and drinks for our interests. We sat at the counter and watching the chefs create the variety of meals was interesting. Houglu recommend!

    Slowly going downhill.... this was my third and final visit. Food was incredibly disappointing. Restaurant was empty at 8pm. Service was non- existent. Terrible value. WAY too much $$ for low quality omakase. Very sad.

    We ordered three rolls and all were outstanding. But there were no vegetables or green salads (eg. seaweed salad) on the menu. For this reason, I am unlikely to go back.
