Nero’s Italian Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
I went for the Sunday brunch, it was my birthday. The set up was great the food stations were nice. A very good variety of things from breakfast stations to carvings with prime rib, ham, rack of lamb even salmon. Every thing looked wonderful. My first plate Was fingerling home fries, some flat iron steak, sliced pork roast. I go back to my table and start eating and I am half way through the plate and in my potatos is a clear push pin 📌. Luckily I didn't put it in my mouth accidentally. Just at that moment the waitet came over and seen what was in my potatoes. We called over the manger and shown her and all she said was she was sorry and she will tell the chef. I was a little annoyed, seemed like she was going to blow me off. At end of the meal the waiter came over and took care of my bill, which was the right thing to do. Since the brunch is $65. And could have cost them a lot more if I swallowed it. And I did also speak to the executive chef and he couldn't apologize enough.
Have eaten here before, food and service very good. Not so much this time. Tony was our server. Salmon, lamb, shrimp and crab were great. Oysters, not so much. Not cold, cool at best and tasted off. The service was horrible. Tony was more interested in catering to the 2 young ladies at the next table that he all but forgot we were there. He delivered platters of crabs, ensured their drinks were always topped off and gave them wet wipes while we couldn't get him to clear our plates or refill our water glasses. I had requested water when we sat down, he filled my glass and didn't even bother to ask my partner if he wanted water, just left his glass empty. Half way through our meal my partner asked for water, at this point my glass was almost empty. Sure enough, Tony fills his glass, doesn't ask if I wanted more, nor did he fill my glass.
Not sure I'd go back, think I'll continue to frequent Gordon Ramsey's and Harry's oyster bar. Staff is friendlier and service is much better there. Maybe Tony should visit these places and observe what excellent service is all about.
Food was excellent, service was good, but cold have been much better. Prices were super high and I felt was were offered lesser service that those casino patron that were being camped.
It just don't pay to spend your own money anymore. We spent more - of our own money - than anywhere else in AC and go MUCH less for it.
A potential great evening was ruined. Will not return to this restaurant.
Nero's has an outstanding brunch. From the Mimosas that were refilled as they were enjoyed to the fine complement of breakfast and dinner choices, this was one of the best brunches we have had. There was a table with fruits and breads - huge selection of different types. The waffle station featured the usual breakfast and dessert toppings and was also the place to get ice cream for dessert. The omelet station featured a large assortment of choices - peppers, onions, cheeses, mushrooms, spinach, meats. The chef also made an egg burrito that was amazing. The "fish market" featured shrimps, clams, oysters and sushi. Roasts and chafing dish chicken and pork dishes, potatoes and vegetables were also featured. Finally, there was the Asian table which included excellent dumplings . The desserts were not outstanding but offered pudding and pastry choices that were both tasty and not overly large. Our waiter stayed on top of everything, from refilling our mimosa glasses to picking up our empty plates while we were filling fresh ones. This is definitely a place to which we will return both for brunch and for dinner.
Our first time back at this restaurant in many years. It was very crowded, but our reservation was honored right on time. The food prices have risen over the years and are almost out of reach for many people. $60, $70+ steaks are the normal. A $85 1 lb. Alaskan King Crap appetizer is just crazy. My $52 linguine seafood dinner was delicious, but way overpriced as was the 32 oz. Prime Rib dinner, but also delicious. Our cost for four was $299 without drinks, coffee/tea, or desserts. We used our comp dollars to pay thank heaven. If you do not care about prices, then this is your place.
Well, my first visit was certainly worth the wait! I had reservations for February, but there was a mix up and the restaurant wasn't open that night. Finally got to eat there and what a treat! Can't wait to go back. We had asked if we could dine an hour earlier than our reservations and were beautifully accommodated! The food and service were excellent!!
Nero's in Caesars overlooks the boardwalk, beach and ocean. The dim lighting highlights the scenic view. The menu focuses on quality instead of quality. The shrimp francaise was delicious with a creamy risotto on the side. Also, the service was excellent - quick seating, pleasant hostess, superb server, short wait for food and excellent food.
we were seated right away.
They gave us ocean view which we requested
service was OK
My husband had the porter house steak which was excellent
my filet mignon was cold. The waiter apologize took
to warm it up but not much of a difference
I would not get it again.. It was probably sitting there
until the other steak was getting prepared
the should be more organized
the mash potatoe had no taste
overall it was ok. I would go back !
Where to begin... Tasteless unseasoned steaks. Wrong plates were given to our table of 4. The well done steak was given to the person who ordered a medium steak. The lobster franchise was not even brought out as the waiter brought out some scampi pasta and a simple thing as ordering a Pepsi was brought to us as a Diet Pepsi. Bottomline our waiter didn't check his ticket against what we ordered and was very sloppy. I'm sorry spending over $400 and that's not including having no dessert I would of had a better meal at Gordon Ramsey for half the price. I will never recommend this place or comeback.
Food was amazing oysters and baked clams were great
I had the 10 oz filet minion and he had the 24 oz Porterhouse. Both were made and cooked perfectly.
Our server Nick was so attentive and friendly.
They even brought out a piece of cake for my bday n sand. Was so cute. Can't wait to go again.
It would have been fun to have eaten there, if it was open! We had confirmed reservations through Open Table, but when we got to the restaurant it was closed. I complained to the concierge at Caesar's and showed my confirmation. They really stepped up to the plate! Gave me a $50 room credit and made us reservations at Guy Fieri's Chop House at Bally's. Not the experience I had planned on, but wow, what a consolation prize!!!!!!!
We heard from our waiter at least 2 other parties of diners were in the same boat.
