Our lunch group went to Neo and I must say I was very disappointed. Upon arrival the valet staff was very friendly as was the wait staff. However, it took approx. 15 minutes for our server to come to the table and there was only one other group in the restaurant! We were a party of 5 and they only gave us 4 menu's then came by a few minutes later and asked if they could borrow one. The food was average, not really what I expected from a Rosewood hotel, especially considering the cost. The garden's, lobby, etc. were beautiful, but we really came to have a great lunch and were not impressed.

Unfortunately, NEO really isn't open for dinner anymore according to the poor bartender that ended up being our server in the restaurant. I have had several enjoyable dinners at NEO when it was an Italian restaurant. Our experience last night was a disaster. Supposedly they opened for dinner for a large group and the other few tables in the restaurant were left to fend for themselves. We had mediocre apps and had to leave to get dinner at Craft before they closed (which was great by the way). Our waitress brought us water and then we literally never saw her again. Such a shame to go out a such a poor note!! If there was a category lower than "poor" for service, such as non-existent, that is what I would rate NEO based upon last night.

We dined at Neo for breakfast. We were quickly greeted us & wished a Happy Anniversary. He escorted us to a beautiful table by the garden window. We then waited 5 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. Drinks were served quickly & the server took our order. The food was served in a reasonable time but after our food was served, we never saw our server again. We ate our entire meal & then waited 20+ minutes & the server still did not return. We finally flagged down another server & asked if they could get someone to bring our check. Others around us were experiencing similiar issues. The food was great, the service was horrible. For a $60 breakfast for 2, (bacon, eggs, toast, hashbrowns, & OJ), you would expect 5 star service.

Chef Scott Hemmerly's farm to table menu is fresh and fabulous. We love the flatbread with mushrooms and fontina, fried green tomatoes and shrimp and crab mac and cheese to start. Favorite entrees are skirt steak, pork chop with honeyed apple or seared scallops. Desserts are all fabulous but do not leave without trying the watermelon sorbet. Asst. Food and Beverage Mgr. Stephanie Ruhe, recently named Most Inspiring Bartender by GQ Mag, offers expert wine pairing advice!

I have had lunch at Neo's when it had the Italian theme which was fantastic. With the switch in theme (Italian to local) I think they need to find themselves. We both ordered NC trout and we are not sure it really was. Plus the portions were overly excessive. Give it time to refine. Not horrible, just mediocre.

Went on a Saturday night and it was totally dead. There were only 3 other tables in the restaurant with people. We found ourselves almost whispering. Felt like we were in a library. Food is good, but overpriced. Service was horrible, particularly considering there were so few patrons. I'm not planning on going back.

Fabulous food and ambience. The service was great. After we ate, we asked to have a tour of the place. Wow, we were so surprised to see that the Mondavis have a spa there. How fun since we are from California. It is a 5-star place and a wonderful way to get to know Atlanta. Would go again.

Gave us a fabulous table overlooking the English gardens. St Andre smothered hamburger to die for. Good pork chop and OK trout. Didn't have the wine we ordered and belatedly offered an inappropriate substitute - that was a downer! Opportunities for improvement abound.

Based on reviews and the menu posted on the Web, we thought we were going to an upscale Italian restaurant. Nope - evidently three days earlier (06/09/2009), management changed the style of the restaurant to attract the fresh-food aficionados. Well, this was a surprise, but it suited us as well, as the food, setting, and especially the service were superb. When faced with a menu where everything sounds good, we usually ask what Chef is having the most fun with that night. Much to our delight, our server consulted the kitchen and presented us with an option not on the menu - a fantastic steak topped with fois gras, served with succotash. He also recommended an excellent Amarone, which made it a great evening by any measurement.

I made reservations through open table for valentines day and I was called by the restaurant over 10 times to "confirm my reservations." It got to the point where I felt like they were bullying me out of my spot at the restaurant. I made it clear to the restaurant that I would be attending and that I was at work and would appreciate it if they did not call so many times to interrupt me, but despite my request they continued to call. While dining at the restaurant the service was great, the food was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

An upscale restaurant that is too pretentious for the quality of food and service that they offer. For an Italian restaurant the pasta was just mediocre very little flavor and the shrimp on one of our dishes was over cooked. The wait staff started off ok and ended very weak especially with it being a very slow night. It had a great wine list with a very nice selection of Italian wines. Was a romantic ambiance for our date night but came up short for all the hype that its been getting in Atlanta. I wouldn’t recommend it to friends - Atlanta has much better low profile Italian restaurants that can offer just as good ambiance with much better food and service.

I know that it got panned by Meredith Ford, but we had a birthday dinner there Saturday and it was fantastic. This was the 3rd time there. All 6 of us thought the food was awesome and the service was the best I have ever seen. I have never had a waiter ask me for my valet ticket at ordering and tell me he would have our car up front whenever we were ready to leave. Also, we had a cake and flowers. When we got up, the wait staff whisked them up, boxed them, and had them in our car when we left. I can't say enough good things!

It was a bit awkward being at Neo. We were the only table in the dining room for about 20 minutes. Over the course of the night only 3 additional tables came in to eat. You could hear a pin drop! The wait staff seemed new....very curteous but not comfortable yet. The room itself is gorgeous. The menu was a bit random. I loved the Veal oso buco but thought some of the other options looked strange for an Italian themed restaurant. Overall I give this place a B-. With so many restaurants in Atlanta, they need to get the word out and get people in the doors! I can't believe its been open since May - you would have thought we were the first ones to dine there.

I suspect the kitchen is still working the kinks out. The food was very good, but not exceptional compared with "The Dining Room" or "Bachannalia". The spacing between courses was interminable and at one point the waiter indicated the kitchen was tied up with a large group elsewhere. Wait staff was attentive at first but as the dining room filled up, we seemed neglected. A very interesting wine list consisting of Italian wines and our waiter was very knowledgable about the list. Over all good but not great.

What a terrific addition to the Buckhead restaurant scene. The Italian menu features many Tuscan and Venetian-inspired favorites all served with an surprisingly artistic and modern twist. Inspired, affordable wine list. One of the best lunch values in the city. And extremely cozy. If you enjoy Italian you must check out NEO.

Service team is outstanding and very professional thanks to the guidance of Guido. The selections on the menu is definitely not Italian and totally lacks flavor. The new chef truly needs to bring an Italian flair and flavor to Neo if it is going to make it as an outstanding restaurant in Atlanta. We have been 4 times over the past few months and if it was not for Guido and his team AND the promise of a new menu in September, we would not be returning. Anxiously awaiting the new menu....some great pasta dishes would be most welcomed.

The restaurant is nice and the service was good, but the food is mediocre for the price. The portions are small and one of our friends sent his meat back because every bite was very fatty. The told him to order something else and he got the mushroom risotto and it didn't even taste like it was cooked throughly. I would only go back to have drinks at the bar. We left hungry and dissatisfied.

The service needs to improve - the place needs to get more professional in feel - there is a amateur night sense to the restaurant. Perhaps they are trying to hard? The food was inconsistent in quality and in presentation -- some of it was interesting and innovative and some of it looked as though your grandmother had prepared it. The bread is terrible, by the way. The wine list is okay -- I realize that an Italian restaurant isn't necessarily going to have much more than Italian wines, but they could add a few more French wines -- and they should make sure that what they have is consistent with the list. We ordered a bottle and they didn't have the year that was listed on the wine list. Would I go back? Not for a while.

The food for the price was very mediocre - pasta sauce looked like cheesewiz (although the lobster was very good), the pork was tough and the gelato dessert was crunchy. When we told the server the dessert was bad he simply apologized - did not offer an alternative or take it off the check. For $160.00 per couple much is expected. Neo did not deliver.
