I booked this reservation through Open Table, showed up for my son's 18th birthday dinner with my entire family & the restaurant was closed with a sign on the door saying the owners were locked out -- this generally takes a court order, so the restaurant was likely closed when Open Table accepted my reservation. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

When I got there, there was a sign on the windows and front door stating that the establishment had been closed by the authorities for non payment of rent (could have been lease), effective 2/13/17. THEY WERE CLOSED/OUT OF BUSINESS.

Well....we reserve online and purchased a Groupon ticket because of the reviews, location and a deal we couldn't pass up. Got to the place...it was a surprise for my Mom. We ALL were surprised because the place was closed. Nelore Churrascaria Brazilian didn't pay on their taxes.

We showed up and there were signs on the door saying the tenant was evicted. We went there for my son's birthday and it was ruined. Please mark this place as out of business so it doesn't ruin anyone else's plans.

Nelore has a tenant lockout notice on the door and is closed. I wish they would have taken themselves off Open Table so we wouldn't have been left high and try!

We arrived early only to find the restaurant had its locks changed the night before. It made for a challenging Valentines dinner night.... none of the stars selected are accurate, but it's hard to submit a comment with or some kind of rating. So please remove if possible.

Well, we made a reservation through Open Table for a special Valentine's Day dinner only to show up to a darkened restaurant with a few other confused would-be diners shuffling around the driveway. There was a sign on the door saying the tenant had been locked out because they owed $50k in back rent. We ate Whataburger instead. The end.

My reservation was not honored. Some machine Broke. The place looked over booked . The lady manager did not speak English and was of no help. My party of Eight and I were given the only available space left at Artisians "The private room.". The food was excellent and customer service was second to none.

Upon arrival, the front door was locked, had to go in the side door. Had 7 o'clock reservation, the hostess never acknowledged us. She kept speaking to servers in Portuguese, she seemed very flustered and never smiled. I had to let her know that we had a reservation for 4. The entry area was packed with people, with no explanation as to how long of a wait we would have. Finally, we were seated. Salad bar did not have as many items as is claimed on the website. Servers with skewers were "hit or miss" about keeping us supplied with meats, but our waiter was top notch and kept us supplied with drinks.

The salad bar was mostly empty at 6:30pm and they never did replenish it. There was no bread rolls and when I asked about them they said "no bread today" but the table next to us definitely had bread. Eventually they brought our bread but after we had finished eating. They told us no lamb but one of the servers told us he was serving us lamb???? It was caous and VERY expensive! 4 people was $230.00. No music and the front door was locked and you had to scoot by tables in the main dinning room. Very odd place! They did have a couple of nice meats, chicken wrapped in bacon was very good. It was just so unorganized and expensive. For that amount we could of eaten at Ruth Chris and been very happy. Probably won't go back!

First time visiting this type of restaurant. We had a groupon we received as a gift. My husband and I each had one drink plus tip and the bill was still $48 . The selection on the salad bar was slim and nothing like the menu on the website. The few times someone stopped at our table the meat was pork (all fat), chicken or sausage. They had no steak that was well done. All rare or medium rare. Total disappointment and not worth the money.

We didn't keep our reservation because of the inconvenience surrounding the time of our reservation at 5:00 pm (they do not open any earlier than 5pm and will send you away if you arrive early for your reservation). If I had known this, I would have chosen a later reservation. Also, we weren't fond of the fact that they only offered valet parking. I prefer options and do not appreciate being forced into any one option. This was a very unsatisfying and disappointing experience.

I've been a patron for years but the quality of the food on the salad bar Is not as fresh as it used to be. Romaine lettuce was turning brown. I asked for lemon wedges for ice tea & they were also turning brown. The sweet ripe plantains were dry & not sweet. However the quality of the meat was still good.

The bad: There was not a good selection of meats, the salad bar was tacky and the wine was over priced

The good: The wait staff was courteous and prompt

If you're looking for value for money, I recommend trying a different Brazilian steakhouse.

I believe it's a bit over-priced for the ambiance and food but overall I didn't have a bad experience. Just be prepared to shell out a boat load of cash for a not so fancy looking atmosphere.

I know Brazilians use salt on their meat but the meat was extremely salty and you couldn't taste the meat. Much of the meat was very tough and in some instances it was dry. Sweet Plantains were overcooked and almost falling apart.

Overall, for even the discounted price (~$80 for 2 including tax and mandatory 18% tip), we would have been better off going elsewhere for better quality meat at this price or just pay more and go to Fogo and enjoy top quality meat.

Purchased a Groupon to try an unknown restaurant. Brazilian meat isn't supposed to be like JERKY! All meats were DRY! Can beverages are served at $3.50 each. Salad bar was less than appealing. They also authorized my debit card twice, totaling $140.00 over the already $99.00 for 4 people. Called establishment about being double charged and was told someone would call me back. Here, I'm writing this review 36 hrs after my visit and no one has bothered getting back with me. Watch these people if you pay by card. I would recommend cash to be on the safe side! There are other Brazilian Steakhouses in the area. Fogo de Chao is a tad more expensive but the food is impeccable. No more Groupon for this girl. AWFUL, EXPENSIVE EXPERIENCE!!!

The service, food and atmosphere was fabulous. We went for a Family Friday night on the town dinner after being recommended. The staff was friendly , the food was delicious, the ambience was warm and inviting and the valet parking came as part of the dining experience. I would highly recommend Nelore Churrascaria Brazilian Steakhouse.

We went with a groupon. We added drinks and gratuity was added as well. You can't beat a meal like that with lamb, filet mignon, top sirloin, bottom sirloin, house special, bacon wrapped chicken breast, parmesan crusted pork, sausage, and garlic beef. The salad bar was good and has some additional hot items mashed potatoes, black beans, a tasty chicken dish, rice and plantains. We had a great time.

Great food, but in the beginning we were really served great. Then towards the end when they changed servers we were skipped many many times and patrons around us were being served instead of us. And before you ask yes we did have our little signs "Sim, Por Favor "on green. Other than that , the valet is good The atmosphere is good for a small location, I would definitely advise you to make your own assumption of how this place is. I feel the servers towards the end weren't not really paying attention to us even though they served a table in front of us beside us and behind us. Would I go back, Yes to see if it was just a one time thing or a reoccurring thing because they probably had a new servers for us.

When we first walked in we were not greeted or acknowledged for a bit. A simple hello Ill be with you in a moment would've been just fine. We got seated at a table and the a/c was dripping on us. We got moved right away without having to ask which was nice since a waiter noticed it himself. Overall the food was pretty good. I would like to try another place next time before going back to this particular Brazilian steakhouse. I wish the food was a little better at the salad/hot bar.
