Excellent food and service. Food was very well prepared and hot when served.
Everyone had masks on and it felt safe.
The halibut was amazing as was the lamb and steak. Good food makes a Saturday evening with family memorable.
Will definitely visit again.
Everything we ordered was delicious! And the service is outstanding - unobtrusively attentive.
Service and atmosphere are great!
Wine selection, menu variety and flavors are ok.
Plate presentation is average and definitely missing texture on the dishes, really plain combination/ pairing of ingredients.
A place where you will have a good ordinary meal.
Waitress, Food and Enviroment all superb. Thank You!!
The food was excellent, just what we needed after many mediocre meals. Our grandson loved it and we were also very pleased.
We had an excellent anniversary dinner. Our go-to local special occasion place. Thanks!
Always reliably great, so glad they are surviving the pandemic. Waitress seemed a little snarky thus the less than 5 stars but cocktails made by staff , hanger steak, desserts all top notch. Our Go To place fir celebrations.
Food was great— waiter was great! Highly recommend!
I love everything! Great atmosphere, relaxing and cozy. Service was great! Foods were perfectly delicious!
Excellent meal and fantastic service. My wife wasn’t drinking alcohol and the server took the initiative to make her an off menu mocktaill which was delicious. Grilled octopus, braised duck, and the rabbit were all terrific.
Excellent dinner. Had the tuna tartare and duck breast.
Both were excellent! Glad to have a finer dining option near home with outdoor seating!
Canlis class without the schick. Canlis is over the top and lovely. Nell’s is cozy and lovely. Food is always delish!
King salmon was perfectly done. The staff are attentive and friendly.
Nell’s is a fine dining experience. The patio is just lovely! The food was delicious and innovative and the service very attentive.
The food and the wine list are the main attractions at Nell’s. We enjoyed the tasting menu which had ample portions of each course. We also ordered off of the regular menu which was delicious, beautifully plated.
The wine list is really exception. A great selection of both bottles and half bottles are available. The by the glass menu is less inspired. Service professional and ambience simple.
We have dined at Nell's since the opened. They never disappoint.
this place is one of my perennial favorites and continues to have outstanding food and service. a home run in Seattle!
This the place to go for excellent food and a very special evening. Good wine list and every bite is delicious. We take all of our out of town visitors to Nell’s and we celebrate all special occasions at Nell’s.
Rabbit, lamb, and fish were really appreciated and the desserts were really fabulous!!!!
Both the halibut and salmon were done to perfection! This is an undiscovered gem of a restaurant.
Great recipes well executed, great service and ambience. Fair prices.
Wonderful food with great service. Non-fussy atmosphere with great outdoor seating. Recommended.
Service was friendly and at just the right pace. Wine and food recommendations were helpful. The salmon and lamb, and the beefsteak tomato sald were excellent. We ate outdoors (as we requested in our reservation) so there was some traffic noise, but it was a pleasant environment.
We will be back.
Nell’s was amazing as always. The food is delicious and service was wonderful. We always leave saying we need to come more often!
Nell's is great - a hidden gem of Seattle. Hidden because it seems only locals dine here, and generally only those in the 40+ age range. Let's keep it that way! No noisy bachelor or bachelorette parties, just grown-ups enjoying Phil's wonderful menu and friendly wait staff. The menu is always ready for any food decisions that come in the door. Have the baked onion tarte and always try the risotto. The hangar steak will not disappoint. Be kind to the staff and they will be kind to you. Leave a generous tip. Tell your friends.
Charming setting, great food, unpretentious approach to fine dining.
The food and service were both excellent and the wine list offered many fine choices. We would definitely go back!
Every bite was amazing!!
We're grateful some foodie friends introduced us to Nell's. It immediately became our go-to location for great meals and experiences.
Never fails to exceed expectations. Time and time again, I've brought family, friends and colleagues to this restaurant and they always walk away impressed.
Lovely setting, outdoors across from Greenlake. Delightful staff and super chef. This is the place to go for a leisurely meal with friends. Indoors or out, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and the food is perfect.
The Tasting Option is a well balanced and quite affordable choice. The venison is superb. The dining setting is comfortably cozy with acoustics quite good.
The food and drinks were outstanding! The service was very good-- attentive without being pushy or obsequious. There were a couple of mistakes in the order which I am inclined to dismiss as nothing more than the post-lockdown stumbles of a restaurant trying to get its operations running smoothly again. The ambience is excellent save for a couple pieces of art on the walls that some might find a bit jarring during a meal. As for value-- Dinner for four with three cocktails, a glass of wine, tax and tip was about $280.00. But the food was truly delicious.
The outside tables are perfect. Though on the sidewalk, it is quite wide so not close to the street which is not busy. There's a nice view to Green Lake. The food is delicious and the service friendly without being overwhelming, just attentive. The focus on locally sourced food is just what we were looking for.
Nell's is a great restaurant. It located on beautiful Green Lake. Excellent high-level stuff here. Good wine list. Very enjoyable. Impress guests or your date.
We ate outside on a beautiful evening. All was very nice, food, service and ambience. We will go back again soon!
Halibut was dry. Everything else was great, especially the corn soup and the service.
What a gem of fine dining tucked into a neighborhood! We could not decide, so we indulged in the tasting menu. The halibut first course was perfectly executed with a fine crisp outside layer which kept the fish moist and flavorful- all surrounded by fine fennel shavings. Risotto was delicate with ripe cherry tomatoes in a nutty and rich aborio rice laced with Parmesan. The special tender Iberian pork was sliced and served on a bed of sweet potato medallions and tasty veggies. The wine list has both French and local NW accompaniments and the desserts home made which made for a memorable dinner!
The food as usual was delicious and our waiter was excellent - helpful, pleasant, funny.
The server recommended the duck, while mentioning both fish dishes and steak were very delicious and ordered often, but the duck is a more unique item menu and equally beloved. She was not wrong. It was perfectly cooked, so tender and seasoned to perfection. I love turnips, so it was great to have those, along with squash & zucchini as the accompanying vegetables. I ate outside, by Greenlake. It was 82 degrees and I had a nice shady spot to enjoy the warmth, a breeze, and not get baked. The chairs outside were insanely UNcomfortable though. Maybe that’s why I was the only one on the patio that entire time. That was really the only downside of the entire experience. I had the chocolate tart to take home for dessert, which was delicious.
