A special treat! Dining at Nello is always a wonderful gastronomic experience and well worth the high price (if you don't mind!). The food and service are both amazing. Our favorite waiter is Albero...he makes it a less "stuffy" experience!
Lunch at Nello is always a must while we visit NYC. Superb menu and service, refined dining at its best.
Beautiful people, beautiful decor, beautiful experience.
Very expensive, but....a once in a lifetime bucket experience
Wonderful dining experience! Amazing staff, they know how to make you feel special! The black truffles pasta is excellent, I spent 195.00 USD on this main course, but it's worth it! Strongly recommend!
Great place for lunch but super overpriced for endive salad $34
Excellent friendly wait staff. Paid attention to small details at the table
Excelente experiencia! Nos trataron y comimos muy bien!
Es caro pero consideramos que lo valió.
To expensive Restaurant. Poor quantity in comparison with other great Italian restaurants in NY.
We found Nello too expensive, we had no appetizer an eat mostly pasta
still one of the best in NYC
Makes Jean George prices look like a value meal. Food was great, service great but pushy to buy expensive drinks and items. Beautiful floral arrangements and the price of the water alone will definitely cover those costs.
Extremely expensive, $45 for an appetizer proccuto and melone.
Altijd heerlijk om bij nello te eten het is natuurlijk heel duur maar soms is dat het waard
The place is pretty, the food is only ok, service was also only ok, horrible choice of music (pop, Rihanna style. This place would go better with a jazz) and it was our most expensive meal in NYC. We went to other amazing, well known restaurants and paid maybe half of what we paid at Nello. I would not recommend and would not return.
Great location and venue but just crazy prices for what you get. I have never seen a Milanese at $80.... is it kobe veal?? LOL
This was our first visit to Nello and it won't be our last. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. What a great find for lunch on a rainy afternoon.
Lovely experience, fantastic staff, great food, However prices a very high.
I’ve visited three time and twice in this month and the food is not great, the service is awful not a nice experiance.
Service poor and food was mediocre at best while being way overpriced
One of the best Italian restaurant I’ve been in NYC
Would definitely go back. Service excellent. Excellent food.
Music too loud.
Francesco the manager is the best !
We always enjoy everything about Nello's , service and meal are great!
Very, Very good Food, at really expensive price
definitely, not for just casual or everyday lunch or dinner...
Excellent food although somehow expensive - cacio and people recommended
Good, but abusively expensive
Love the food in this place always predictable and good .
The coffee can be improved .....
There was only our table and two more....the maître was texting his cellphone all the time....when we left he didn’t even stop it to open the door!!!
There was NO wine....everything my husband asked, “ohh I’m so sorry, we don’t have it”
Not coming back!!!!
Outstanding food. And outstanding service. One of the finest Italian restaurants. I’m Beyonce and presentations classic.
Soup is excellent. Cannelloni was mediocre. Staff pushes you to order more than you want.
Once again Nello was an amazing experience. Love everything about it especially the fine food. Eating at Nello has now become a tradition for us whenever we are in NYC.
Food was excellent and staff very accommodating. We were her for our anniversary dinner with our children.
First, I know Manhattan and the upper East side is expensive, but this restaurant ridiculous. Wealthy people understand money and don’t throw it away, appropriate pricing applies to all incomes.
Most bottles of wine were Googled, all five times the retail value. Very sure most establishments only double the price. Is this effecting business? I was there on a Friday night before the long Christmas weekend, got my reservation that afternoon on Open Table, could have picked any hour, and the place was almost empty all evening.
The food was excellent, atmosphere nice, value terrible for what the city has to offer.
There are many, many fantastic neighborhood Italian restaurants in NYC with numerous in midtown and UEside. This is five star cost for a two star experience. It was a surprise. Would be fine for about 1/3 the cost. The food is good but far overpriced.
Very expensive! Great menu, especially Pasta dishes.
I think the food is great but is really
Overpriced. 4 pcs of ravolli for $64.00, crazy. Better to eat at Sant Ambroeuse.
The food was excellent and the service was very good. My guest and I enjoyed wonderful entrees, sides, and shared two desserts. It was pricey but I had prepared for that. Sadly, the reason I gave only a 3 star "overall" rating was because of an incident at the end of the evening. I went downstairs to use the only ladies room, locked the door (with the 'dead bolt') and TWO gentlemen who were dining with a large bolsterous group pushed the door open and came in - I was shocked and pushed the door shut (as I had not yet finished). I was too upset to speak to the manager right then (we had already settled our bill). However, when I called upon my immediate return to my hotel and spoke to the manager, I shared my experience. He apologized and I told him I was very upset and would most likely never visit Nello again. He simply said he was sorry, he knew who the two gentlemen were and told me they had "been cut off" from drinking. That was it. I was appalled at his complete lack of concern for the safety of his customers. While those gentlemen were probably drunk and just having "fun" it really upset me.
Small place on Madison.
Food is always good.
It is expensive.
Tables close together.
