Nellie Cashman's Monday Club Cafe at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa
For a true taste of Arizona, look no further than Nellie Cashman’s Monday Club Cafe, which was named after Arizona’s oldest club for women and “The Angel of the Mining Camp.”
Highlighting the dinner menu is Arizona Prime – USDA graded prime cuts of beef from select ranches across Arizona: Tenderloin, NY Strip, Ribeye, Flat Iron and even a NY Strip Hamburger. Pair each hand-cut entrée with your choice of delectable sides, and you simply can’t go wrong. Start the evening with a handcrafted cocktail from Doc's Watering Hole, each of which blends Arizona spirits, local ingredients and a modern interpretation of recipes dating from late 1800s.

Service was excellent; gloves and masks and very personable. Their coffee is delish. I had the oatmeal and it was just okay. My husband had their version of eggs benedict and was not a fan. Our grandson devoured his pancakes and they did look perfect. We sat outside and it the grounds are gorgeous.
We Would you recommend Nellie Cashman's Monday Club Cafe at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa to a friend, great service wonderful location
The service was excellent despite the fact that the restaurant did not offer any vegan food and the single vegetarian entree contained dairy.
We arrived for a reservation, and the hostess did not look up until we cleared our throat. She was busy looking at some thing on her cell phone. We got seated after that, and felt the meal was good. Our waitress was OK, nothing exciting. The young woman who was the bus girl, was very very good. She paid attention to when our plates needed to be cleared, and was always there to fill our water glasses. And the male bus man was also pleasant. They were probably the most pleasant out of everyone we encountered that evening. We also ordered a side salad, which was a real joke. I believe there was approximately 2/3 cup of salad greens and the cost was $7. I am glad we tried it, and would like to try them for breakfast.
Everything was first class.
Excellent service! Food very good. Had dinner on the patio. Was there on a Friday and the hotel had outdoor entertainment. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Food was great but portions a little too large for me.
Veon was our server and he was outstanding!!!!!
I purchased a 3 course dinner for four on Groupon. Our meal was fantastic. Appetizers, one of us had corn chowder two had shrimp and another had the wedge. The wedge was huge it could have fed all of us. Shrimp excellent and chowder was good too. We all had the rib steak and it was fantastic sides were yummy too. Overall it was a great meal with excellent service.
Best breakfast buffet in Scottsdale
Service was good but food was over priced and overcooked
We waited too long for a Valentine's Day dinner for our spouses...and the wait proved to be a blessing. We enjoyed the "quiet" atmosphere, valet service provided, great meatloaf and "Z" was a great waitress. We had not been there before, but will definitely make Nellie's as one of our go to's.
Great experience overall!
It was Valentines Day so it might have been more busy than normal. We ordered the special, Tomahawk Steak with asparagus, and scalloped potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection. Very good value. We sat at our table for 15-20 minutes before someone came to ask us if we wanted a drink. After that our service was not exceptional but fine due to it being Valentines Day. If you are looking for a romantic atmosphere this is not the place for you. The feeling is more of a very high end cafeteria due to the table layout and noise level. It is a very relaxed environment that you would not dress up for. Go for the quality of the food with good value.
Great dinner with the Groupon special
Excellent service, calm atmosphere
One of the best regular breakfast buffets offered but not inexpensive. The hostess was very helpful and friendly. She took the time to speak with us and find my perfect bagel since they were out. Service very efficient. We will return for breakfast and lunch, but not for dinner.
This is not my favorite dinner restaurant by any means. Menu limited and expensive. Butternut squash soup was not good. Beet salad was served with raw beets which I must have missed. Love beet salad with cooked or spiraled beets not thinly sliced raw beets. Hamburger way overpriced ending up at $24. So many much better options nearby. However martini was very good as are their breakfast and lunch options. Service was very friendly and professional.
The food was incredibly fresh and delicious!
We ate on a Groupon and also ordered off the menu. The "prime" ribeye steak off the Groupon menu was horrific, extremely tough , most certainly not "prime" quality and possibly the worst steak I've had in a restaurant. Seriously, I've had better at Outback. This is also a first for me; 3 (count them 3) desserts that were so inedible no one at the table ate more than a spoonful of each . How can you go so wrong on dessert? Dry, poor flavor, just plain bad. I have been there before and enjoyed it but after this experience, I am not returning anytime soon. There was absolutely nothing redeeming about any of the three entrees or desserts that I can compliment, as I usually try to find something good out of every experience. Sorry to report, waste of time and money Groupon or not.
My husband and I were staying at the Westin Kierland for 2 nights and had breakfast here each morning. The buffet had a lot of options, including the most options that I've seen for a continental breakfast, and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Michael was our waiter both mornings, and he was very friendly and attentive (my coffee mug was never empty!); thank you Michael! We'll definitely eat here again next time we stay at the Westin Kierland.
We had tenderloin and i can’t remember ever having a better one, The steak was excellent and perfectly cooked. We topped that off with a devine chocolate mousse cake- heaven! We loved it and we will be back!
Great brunch selections and Matthew provided outstanding service.
This was for Thanksgiving dinner from the selected menu. We were at the beginning of the serving times. Wait staff were very attentive and pleasant. The food was well prepared and generous in quantity. The only beef is the $8 parking fee as the retsaurant is co-located with the Westin Hotel. I do not understand why there is any parking fee as the hotel was not near anything that would compete with hotel function parking needs. I would look elsewhere to simply avoid being exploited for parking fees.
I think this is a gem of a restaurant that is too often overlooked by those who live in the Phoenix area. The food is really excellent: try the corn chowder. I promise you will love it. The menu also caters to those who are more health conscious with the resulting dishes still being as flavorful and satisfying as those made with cream or butter, etc. The dessert was wonderful: strawberry and apple pie with ice cream. I hear the brunch is really a wonderful experience. The service was exceptional!
Very happy with everything here!
Everything was fabulous! We started coming here on vacation in 2012, then 2014, 2016 and 2019. Although 2012 meals were not memorable, each subsequent visit, Nellie's has upped its game. This year we are truly impressed. We are foodies, and we are delighted!
Good food and service. Restaurant was not very crowded.
I was shocked to learn a vodka tonic beverage was $15.00 a piece and the drink was weak. The food was ok but not worth the price paid. In addition service took a long time for everything. I recommend the restaurant to our friends and we were all disappointed.
Great svc & food, but french fries shd be included with a burger!
The hotel is nice but the restaurant is nothing special. We dined from a 3 course special value menu. The second course came before I was finished the first, a salad. The steak had a lot of fat to trim away. The dessert was a generous size but not to my taste. A hefty service charge was added to the total. It didn't feel like I had a savings at all.
We found Nellie Cashman's through Groupon they offered a 3 course meal which included a beautiful filet mignon. When we got there, we mentioned that we had a Groupon so they took our menus back and brought back a single menu, none of which had a filet mignon offered. They did offer a Ribeye, Red Fish and another. We figured that since we love Ribeyes, we won't make a big deal of it. Well, we get our medium rare steaks and mine was raw. I ate off the ends but had to send it back. But the worst part, they were NY strip steaks, not Ribeyes. We have read reviews that they have done this to others. A chef has to know the difference and so does the server. My loaded potato was not loaded. They decided to glop the sour cream on the plate to make it look pretty. What? And no butter. Worst potato ever. My fried chewy dough and dipping Carmel sauce was inedible. What bothers me is that this restaurant is inside a beautiful Westin hotel. People come and go so they don't worry about getting a repeat guest. Will never go back but they don't care.
Excellent food and service Can’t beat the view
This restaurant is great for those traveling with kids
Wonderful hamburger great service
Perfectly prepared and seasoned ribeye. One of the best steaks I've had.
Me and my wife both had the grilled shrimp appetizer and Ribeye steak for the entree it was all so good and cooked perfectly
Nellie Cashman's is a typical hotel restaurant. The butternut squash soup tasted good. Too bad it was luke warm. The salmon was a bit too salty but otherwise prepared well and served hot. The server was attentive but obviously covrring many other tables. Chain hotels such as the Westin cater to their clientele which at this time of year are families traveling to a cheap off season destination. Large families in a restaurant that strives to be ambient is a disaster for couples awaiting a quiet evening meal.
The food was very good, but the overall experience on Father's Day certainly could have been better. Our waitress was not super attentive at times and was completely absent at other times. Perhaps we will return and give it another chance when it's not a holiday.
Great food, great service! I had the campfire chicken with an gratin potatoes- absolutely delicious!
