I made this reservation a long time ago and ended up seated in the bar. Unacceptable!
Amanda was fabulous!
Really enjoyed our dining experience.
As always, a terrific meal with terrific service. The noise is *almost* enough to drive me away—it makes no sense to play music while the don of conversation already is deafening.
But back to the food—the meatballs and tempura asparagus are addictive; halibut, steak, and pork chop perfectly prepared; and butterscotch pot de creme— the greatest. The wine markups are reasonable and cocktails great.
My favorite restaurant in Dallas.
Ariel was an absolute delight! Food was delish. Always is. NHS never disappoints!
The server was great. The Wednesday meat loaf special was OK. May be a matter of taste, but the server said it was the best she had ever had. Had burnt crusty on the edges. We had 2 of the fish specials. The Hake fish with grits, the fish was very good, the grits no so much. Expected better from NS on this one. Tried something new on this visit, will go back to our regular choices on our next visit.
The food and service at this place are reliably good. Last night, it was slower than usual - maybe they are having trouble getting people to work in the restaurant? Still, a little slower but excellent food and service.
This place is always loud. There are no curtains or anything to absorb sound. It can be difficult to talk comfortably.
Had 6:30pm reservations and didn't get seated till 7:20. Too many others in the same situation. Food was ok but mostly bland and not up to their usual standards (had been there over 20 times before). Had an out of town guest and was disappointed in the whole experience. In addition, never got a manager come by and apologize for the delay or ask how the food was etc... I know COVID has hit the industry hard but this meal was way below their usual lofty standards.
Love this place. Always busy. Alway consistently great. A Dallas must!
Justin and Gerry were amazing!
Felt rushed by our main server the entire evening.
Not sure why they can't figure out reservation times. This was the shortest I've waited there but still 20 minutes after reserved time. Impossible to carry on a conversation because of painful noise level. However, food is always excellent, never had a bad dish. Butterscotch pot de creme is still best dessert in Dallas.
Perfection as usual!
pasta was undercooked and the chicken parmigiana was chewy
Too loud for us old folks but the the great food keeps drawing us back. Not sure when it was refreshed but does not show its age.
Jerri always makes the experience! Amazing food, as always, Ambiance was set perfectly, and it was an awesome first time for the birthday boy!
I havent been to this outlet of Neighborhood Services in a while. Food was excellent and staff was super friendly and attentive. Great vibe here.
Food was good and the restaurant was nice, the service was lackluster. The manager who came by was very sweet and accomodating but our server, unfortunately, was not great and did not come by the table often.
Delicious as always! A little noisy, but a great atmosphere. The scallops were perfect.
Had a great time! Good was great, portions were large and the service was great! Highly recommend Leah to anyone dining here.
Celebrated a birthday at NHS! The service, food and beverages - excellent as always.
NHS is our #1 choice for a great meal and good time!
Went for our anniversary. It was great, both service & food
Excellent food and service.
Outstanding food and service. Noise level unbearable as was cramped seating.
Celebrated a promotion
We’ve been coming here since it opened. Always a great experience that is uniquely Dallas.
We were not greeted or welcomed. We asked for a table instead of crowding into a booth. We were told to be gone by 7 as they wanted the table. One of us got the special strip-$75, which tasted like propane. Our waiter was wonderful. We were not acknowledged as we left. There are too many other fabulous restaurants to dine. You should be grateful for your customers.
Great food, terrific service with a smile, broad menu with unusual and fresh entrees. I only wish I could eat everything on the menu including the Brussels sprouts! I had a filet, Patrick had the delicious pappardelle bolognese, Greg enjoyed the meatballs.
I really like this restaurant! This was my second time and brought a friend here, who was visiting from out of town.
Bartender was super friendly and our server was awesome!
The meatballs are incredible!
I had the steak frites, which was really good!
We had a great Father’s Day dinner out! Great drinks, appetizers, entrees & yummy fried apple pie dessert! Best Ranch water around.
The food was impeccable, and the service was perfect. We had so much fun!!
Always a great place for variety and consistently well prepared food.
Hostess was quite rude about not seating a complete party, esp when 1 person was going to be no more than 15-30 minutes late.
The waitress also got our drink order wrong - said it was comp'd but when looking at the final bill this morning, it was not.
Just all in all a hot mess and not on the usual standards the restaurant is known for.
Delicious food, great service and wonderful experience
Fantastic as usual!!
Good food and service, but the restaurant is really loud. Could barely hear the person I was eating with.
Have been dining here for many years. Food and service are always great. Nice to be dining out again.
This one of our favorite DFW restaurants. The quality is always exceptional and consistent.
Always a great dining experience!
Three us us went to "Neighborhood Services" for dinner last night. The valet parked the car (about 10 yards from his stand - no real need for a valet). Our corner table looked OK, but the noise level grew so that I finally had to shout to the waiter just to make myself heard, and table conversation became increasingly difficult. My wife ordered the sole ($30, al la carte) and sent it back to the kitchen after two bites - she said that it tasted very "fishy." The staff replaced it with a caesar salad, which was quite good.
When I went to get the car, the valet told me that there is a $6.00 fee, which was an unpleasant surprise, as most Dallas restaurants have complementary valets, whom we usually tip.
We would not return to this restaurant - there are just too many other, better choices nearby.
We went for my wife’s birthday at 6:15. It was slow at first but every table was filled when we finished. We started with the crab dip which was pretty good. I had the burger and my wife had the scallops. I ordered my burger medium and it came back as medium rare. Fries were a bit burnt but ok since I prefer them crispy. My wife enjoyed the scallops. They were well cooked and had a nice sauce. For dessert we ordered the banana pudding which was ok. We thought because it was her birthday we would get a comped dessert but maybe they didn’t see it on our reservation. Bummer since the table next to us got a dessert with a birthday candle in it. Service was fine but just came back once to ask if we wanted another round and to fill up waters.
Unfortunately you have to valet. There was only one attendant and he had a couple cars backed up. I asked for change for a $20 and he said he didn’t have any. I went in to get change and he made my wife move the car. Additionally when I got into the car the steering wheel was dirty and felt grimy.
We have gone a number of times and have had great experiences so were bummed it didn’t live up to those previous expectations. Maybe they’re trying to find the grove post covid as demand returns.
Marcus was incredible. So friendly, knowledgeable.
They knew it was our anny and brought us a small glass of bubbly. So great!
