Great ambiance, excellent service and wonderful
Nectar is great for special occasions. Bartenders are top notch—always willing to build a custom recipe. Our waiter, Bob is the best in town and always helps make our occasion special. Nice ambiance, always able to talk, superb food. Fast, friendly valet parkers. Nectar is the total package. Thank you!
Had a great dinner and really excellent service from "Hawk".
Excellent fusion and you don't have to travel into the city for it. Service is always excellent and very knowledgeable about the offerings. Not too pricey and the valet parking is always funny but oh well.
Crowded, overpriced and loud. Food is rather good but not good enough to charge as much as they do. Valet got very snotty with us. Service was good. Overall very forgettable.
Horrible service, mediocre food. Screaming, disruptive child at table next to us that ruined the dining experience for every table in the main dining room. Parents and staff did nothing. Will not go back, this place is beat. Room has not been updated since it opened and it feels like a time warp.
This is a great restaurant - food, service and design but I will not be going back. I have been to the restaurant a couple of times and each time the restaurant is so NOISY that you cannot hear the person next to you. The tables are crowded together which makes for more noise. As a professional hospitality designer there are many different ways to cut down on the noise level and I suggest that the owners make a concerted effort to do that - the high ceiling is a wonderful element but it is the largest offender of the noise - creating either custom lighting fixtures that hold some acoustical value is one way, also to put strategic and aesthetically pleasing dividers between some of the booth seating is another element to cut down the noise - I do not think any of this would jeopardize or alter the innovative design of the restaurant.
Had another great meal at Nectar!
I had an amazing lunch at this fantastic restaurant. Foie gras sushi. Who knew.
Nectar never disappoints. Delicious entrees and sushi is always a treat there.
Yummy Food and dimsums. I love their sushi as well.
We absolutely love Nectar!
Always a nice meal at Nectar. Very consistent over the years. Broad menu with varied options (Asian themed), excellent sushi, responsive service and very accommodating with food allergies.
Best sushi place I've found I'm meeting phl since moving here from LA
Delicious as always. & Bob is the best waiter ever.
We used Open Table to make the reservation. I received a confirmation call in the morning prior to our seating to confirm. We arrived 5 minutes early. However, we waited 45 minutes to be seated. We were seated after my husband went to the hostess desk to inquire. The host (wearing a ridiculous wide tie with ugly hearts on it) said he did not have us in the system although he handed us a buzzer and had my name on the reservation list. This starts the evening off on the wrong foot after a customer makes it for the reservation on time.
Seating prompt and service good on very busy holiday evening. Help was attentive and food well prepared and very tasty. Things ran smoothly given it was Valentine’s Day and crowded.
Nectar is consistently great as a place for excellent creative food, drinks that are unique and wonderful service. We always enjoy our dinners there. This was our second Valentine dinner at Nectar. It was worth a return visit!
Excellent Valentines dinner and great service made for a memorable dining experience.
Waited over 30 minutes for our table which was a terrible table
The god was delicious and the service great except the boy clearing plates who dropped a shrimp tale on my back. Noise level is a concern.
I’ll have to say that after dining at Nectar for over 6 years and being satisfied every time, this last experience was not very good. The restaurant has made a shift to a very loud and club like atmosphere, but I could look past this. My wife and I ordered two appetizers, the curry chicken dumplings and the mango roll. The roll was good, but over priced for what basically amounted to a shrimp tempura roll, and the dumplings were nothing amazing.
Our entrees came, and this is where I became extremely dissatisfied. My wife got the Valentine’s Day special scallops that were ok, but again not a Home Run. They came out luke warm. Flavor was good, but missed on overall presentation.
I ordered the shrimp red curry dish. I have to say for being such a highly rated restaurant, this meal was extremely lack luster, and they should be ashamed to charge what they did for this meal, when my
Local Chinese or Thai place could serve me something way better for half price. The dish came out warm at best, with the sauce already starting to congeal back to a gelatinous state, the noodle base was hard as a Rock and under seasoned, and the vegetable in the curry that were used to accentuate the plate were clearly par cooked prior to use and sat out before they were tossed in this sauce to bring back to life.
As a faithful customer I am really disappointed by this experience. My waitress was ok, but the fact that the bus boys whisk everything away so quickly, my waitress didn’t even ask one time how my meal was, because it was already gone.
I hope you figure it out Nectar, you’ve changed and it isn’t for the good
Love Nectar! It’s our go to place for special occasions and never disappoints! Thank you Nectar for another wonderful anniversary dinner.
Our experience was great until I realized our server had put my food order in wrong. I ordered from the seasonal specials and read the name of the order and pointed to it as well. Instead of a nice meal, I was brought a sushi roll (after already eating sushi as an appetizer) and thought maybe I misunderstood what I had ordered since it was listed as seasonal and not with the other rolls on the menu. When our server finally came back about 45 minutes after we had received our food, I asked about what I had ordered and she then realized she had given me the wrong item and remembered me pointing to what I wanted. At that point, we had been there a couple hours and were ready to leave. We were offered a complimentary dessert, but needless to say, I left feeling very unsatisfied.
We go there as a couple or as a family for special occasions. We have never been disappointed .
The food is great. And value is excellent.
Incredible atmosphere at Nectar and phenomenal, creative food. This combination allows for a great dining experience.
Nectar always delivers! Great food and service...highly recommend for any occasion.
Nectar used to be my go to special occasion restaurant. The past few times was disappointing. Is it going downhill?
The food came out so fast I think they must have it precooked. Our pork Dumplings were cool yet they fell apart as if they were overcooked. The edamame was delicious. Our groups 5 entree choices came out minutes after ordering and were lukewarm. The sashimi was very good.
Good service from our server but they tried too often to clear our plates.
Our server was fantastic, but the additional servers who supported our party of 4 were as stellar. We received a 5-star treatment. It was my daughter's 14th birthday dinner and her surprise dessert was adorable. A perfect evening!
Started with calamari and edamame - both were delicious. Then had the king kong roll and a seared tuna roll. The seared tuna roll was perfect; I loved every bite. The king kong roll (lobster and filet) was not my favorite. The pieces of tuna were cut so thick that it was difficult to chew. Would have preferred the pieces to be thinner, which would also make the filet seem more tender as that was also difficult to chew - not sure it was actually filet. Overall was a great experience and staff was on top of their game giving us everything we need without being noticed; which I love! Will be back.
Food was phenomenal, background music was fun to listen to, and the service was even better!
Had not been to Nectar in over a year and we were not disappointed. We had forgotten how great it is to have an Asian Fusion high end restaurant in the suburbs and not have to trek to the city. Looking forward to coming back soon.
Waited 20min before a server took drink orders. Another 15min to get drinks. Was not asked for another round of drinks. Over 20min to have plates removed. Was not asked about desserts. Overall terrible experience. Would never recommend or go back
Everything was basically on point the reason i wouldn’t give it the highest rating is because it a bit tight. It’s to crowded and the way it’s set up is too in personal
Met friends we hadn't seen for years. We all loved our dinners. The edamame dumplings were delicious as was the wild mushroom pad Thai.
Great for vegetarians. On our reservation we requested a quiet table and they gave us a perfect spot curtained off, private and quiet.
A great dining experience!
Sushi was not good. But pad Thai was alright. Very cool atmosphere but seems like an opportunity missed for a great experience.
Consistently good food and great service
I didn't know the location was valet only, so I went into a mini-panic because I never carry cash. The valet people were super friendly and funny. Luckily I was able to get couple of dollars for the valet. Kevin our waiter was attentive enough, he came around just enough for us to feel taken care of but not bothered. I had the mango roll, it was good, not the best sushi I've ever had but a lot better then other locations. The drinks were delicious and the desert, mint brownie ice-cream, was okay. Nothing special. I would describe the atmosphere as cozy and warm. I'd go again to give other items on the menu a try.
This restaurant never disappoints. We have been a few times now and we are always thrilled with every coarse.
Always enjoy the food and ambiance but last visit took about 30 minutes to place food and drink order.
