Went out on the last night before the dining out "prohibition" took effect. Had another great meal, but was sad to know they were closing. Can't wait to go back when Nectar re-opens!
Ate at bar. Great bartender. Restaurant quiet due to the Corona Virus. Always great food. Will return when things in the USA calm down.
Nectar delivers excellence once again. Consistently a wonderful meal and beautiful atmosphere. Edamame dumplings are the best. I always have to order and always want more. Tenderloin was fantastic too. Can’t wait to go back!
We made a reservation and when we arrived the restaurant was closed. No one was there. At least take it offline if you’re going to be closed
Went there this past Thursday night and because of the virus scare it was a sparse crowd. Food and service excellent as always!!
I was on a date and it was way too long. We couldn't hear ourselves talk. Also there needs to be a waiting area that's not blocking the door.
much too noisy - party of 12 right next to our table upstairs- couldn't have a conversation.
nice waitor -very slow service.
Your policy of charging $3 per person for an outside birthday cake is horrible; we have never experienced this anywhere. Also the auto gratuity for a party of six is not apparent on the website.
Generally a good night out, as usual. However, the bartender did not make a dirty martini correctly (additional olive juice had to be brought to our table) , and a drink with a twist of lemon was served with a lime wedge.
A $17 crab sushi roll was disappointing and our server indicated the sushi chef was new. We tried to use a gift card and it was rejected multiple times. I've never seen anything like it, especially for a high end restaurant like Nectar. It was embarrassing for both my party, and the server. I used the card the next day and it was fine, very strange.
Might have been the first time I was there and the dining room wasn't full.
Nectar provides consistently excellent menu choices and outstanding service. Bob is absolutely the best server ever!
One comment would be to provide the drink menu when being first seated along with food menu. Other than that excellent meal as always!
Service was great, attentive staff yet not overbearing. Food was delicious. The crispy baby octopus appetizer was one of my favorites.
Enjoyed ourselves, very nice evening with great service and food.
Best restaurant on the mainline for food and service.
Nectar is always great. The lobster pad thai can't be beat. Service is always on point and the bar is amazing.
Celebrating a birthday. Sides and 2 main courses delivered and waited 20 minutes for the other 2 mains. Horrible service. Never apologize until we asked what’s happening. And on to of bad service the Food just ok. Overall a bad experience.
We had a fabulous lunch celebrating my friends birthday.
this visit, contrary to previous ones, left us "underwhelmed"; a rushed bartender served us cocktails that could have been better; food, in our opinion, was extremely salty; some of the dishes (i.e. octopus) lost its "natural character" due to overuse of spices/sauces; that said, overall we had a fairly good time thanks to the great service!
Outstanding food. Rather expensive
We enjoyed it. Am I at fifty characters yet? Now I am.
The atmosphere was a little noisy and the waitstaff a little overwhelmed (Valentine's Day Weekend) but the food was great. I would absolutely go back.
Water was fantastic!
The food was mediocre at best. Some sauces were very sweet (Lancaster Chicken and Shrimp). Too sweet to eat, we are not picky, our whole table tasted it. Short ribs good, but can get that anywhere. Spring rolls had no taste.
The portions were good.
Most likely never going back.
Been many times, this time was crazy. It’s a hard call to make but they should not have taken as many reservations as they did this night. We waited (which is not easy as there is nowhere to stand) for 30 minutes for our table. Food was excellent as ever, but the service really struggled: they could not keep up.
I have been going to Nectar for years and find the food consistently good. The dining experience isn't so great when it's really packed. I was recently there and ended up sitting at a table across from the bar area and did not enjoy my dining experience mostly due to the noise factor and traffic bumping into our table constantly. I would never agree to that seating arrangement again.
They should consider just keeping that bar area and not a dining area.
Also if you are lucky enough to get Bob as your waiter he makes it a most enjoyable dining experience!
It was very good. I love going to Nectar and tonight our waiter was very nice.
We really enjoy dining at Nectar... our favorite sushi spot. Overall wonderful experience... was just a little loud this last time which did take away from the ambience. Nevertheless, still top-notch and we will surely return!
Nectar was good as always. The rice in the lobster dish was less than warm - this was a disappointment. Lobster was good, but too small. The deserts were amazing -- made up for a little disappointing entry.
Food was very good and the environment was awesome. Our experience was a little lack luster due to the poor service. Our server was not attentive and was very short with us. For their reputation and price point we expected much better. Still had a great time though!
Excellent as always!
Perfect! Always a great experience!!
We had a great evening out with the family. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the service which remained good and well paced even though the place was packed.
Fantastic Valentine's Day dinner! Nectar never disappoints.
Everything was great!
Valentine’s Day Lunch. Excellent as usual. Drunken Whale Sake, pork dumplings, tuna roll and shrimp/chicken wok. Delicious. Great service from James.
We have been to Nectar several times in the past for many birthday celebrations, date nights and just for fun. We usually have a great time, fantastic food, and with fine service (one previous bad experience and the rest have been good) but nothing ever exceptional. This time around though our service was not great again, and really made us feel disappointed in our experience especially because we were celebrating Valentines Day a day early. When seated our waiter asked if we would like anything to drink and since my boyfriend and I are sober, we politely declined. When our waiter came back with water he was about to turn away from us and I quickly asked if we could start with two kinds of dumplings we get every time we come, because we knew we liked them and we were hungry and wanted to get our apps in first. Following that he did not tell us any of the specials nor asked what we would like to eat for dinner. We got our dumplings from a different server and finished them, but still no one came to take our dinner order even though our menus were closed sitting on our table. He passed by our table about 7 times before I could catch him and ask if we could order dinner. It would be one thing if the place was busy but they had no one on the top floor and the bottom floor was half full. It seemed to us that he just assumed that we were only coming for apps and water and didn't care to put in the time or effort to actually wait on us because he thought we would have a light bill. Even though our apps and dinners were great, the dismissive service was such a mood killer especially for a night that was supposed to be romantic. We ended up spending most of our time at Nectar confused about why our server was acting so strange and not waiting on us. I guess from now on we will be order out from Nectar, this being our second weird experience there.
Nectar is pricey, but the food is great and it has a very nice chilled but "event" vibe. Service is always excellent.
Not one complaint! Service was Excellent! I really didn’t know who our server was because we had about 3 different people attending to us. The food? OMG!!! Flawless! The Ambiance was perfect. It’s only been three days and I’m already ready to return. Kudos to the owner!
Good food and atmosphere. Very loud which doesn’t bother us but it was uncomfortably hot when we first arrived.
Noisy place, it’s impossible to have a reasonable conversation without shout!
It was good.
