I had not eaten at Nectar for many years. I do recall having a fond experience many years ago.
Unfortunately, today for lunch did not live up to my expectations.
The service was excellent.
However, it is very expensive and the food was good, but not excellent.
I had the braised short ribs and my date had the salmon.
I eat in or get take out from Nectar once a week and have never had anything but 5 star experiences on every level. The best of the best!
Fantastic as usual!
Say at the bar even though we reserved a table. Attentive and friendly service. Excellent food.
Nectar is the most special restaurant in the Philly suburbs.
Food and drink was OUTSTANDING!! Service was stellar!! Highly recommend
The booths have glass surround that seemed Covid safer. They would not seat us until all three arrived. So we had to wait in a crowded bar. Not COVID safe. Absurd policy they claim only to enforce on weekends. Prices are very high. Portions are very small. Entrees came but no silverware. Had to ask three times while the food cooled off. Apparently it was more important to pour wine for another table. Chicken and shrimp had a nice sauce. There were three shrimps and four bites of chicken. The bass entrees were nice but the portions were about two ounces of fish.Chocolate tart was good, mini doughnuts were kind of stale. I guess you can imagine we won’t be back.
Bob our server was fantastic! The bento box for 2 was a great appetizer sampler and everything in it was amazing. I could have eaten that for dinner. The edamame dumplings are AMAZING so i'd recommend getting them on their own or an extra portion. The pad thai was ok but I prefer lime and it to be fresher tasting and less heavy. The sushi roll I had was ok as well, nothing too special. The blood orange martinis were excellent and a must order if you like citrus. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience - a Center City Vibe on the Mainline!
Great place with great service 👍
They don’t seat you on the weekends until your entire party arrives. No exceptions. This is difficult when an unexpected delay occurs in a member of your party and you are stuck standing in the small entrance for a long time. For the money we ended up spending at the restaurant, they should reconsider this policy.
Nectar never disappoints. From the valets to the managers and everything in between, is fantastic.
It was a over all good experience. We were seated next to a dish station which was unappealing so we asked to be moved. Why they had this on the floor next to a table is confusing. Then we ere seated next to a group of girls. One of them had a screeching voice. The food was excellent as the staff were very good. Our waiter suggested a table location for our next visit. A good visit but not the best.
Nectar was lovely as always. The food was excellent and the staff was attentive. So good to see that the restaurant lived up to its pre-pandemic standards.
We were there for lunch, and ate outside on one of the final nice/warm days of the season. They've got the best pad thai--highly recommend!!
Wrong entree brought to table
Also prices very high
Always have a terrific meal and awesome service at Nectar
Nectar consistency provided innovative Asian cuisine. The freshness of the food is always a standout. The only negative is that the pandemic seems to have reduced the number of staff. Service is slower that pre0pandemic service.
I’m truly sorry to give an unfavorable review. If Nectar were a new restaurant I would never do so, because my intention is not ever to hurt anyone’s business. The place was packed and I’m sure it will continue to do well, so I feel more free to write an honest review.
Although the wait staff was friendly, we sat for 50 minutes before anyone took our order. We decided to branch out and order things other than sushi. Big mistake! The menu and descriptions sounded sophisticated and interesting. We ordered the tea smoked salmon and wok lobster. For appetizers we had the calamari and edamame and a salad. The salad was OK. The calamari was under cooked and both sauces were unappealing. The salmon was cooked to perfection, however the sauce was way too salty and lacked any interesting flavor. The wok lobster was the big disappointment. It was horrible and expensive. The lobster meat was almost unidentifiable as lobster, and both the aroma and taste of the dish rendered the whole meal inedible. We were really excited for our night out, and left super disappointed. I am assuming a restaurant that does Nectar’s volume must have a great fish purveyor, so I’m guessing their sushi is very good.
Very good food. Ambiance is excellent, but service is exceptionally slow. It took almost 40 mins to get appetizers. Waitstaff was nice, but slow. Food was exceptional, and good amount and quality for value. Overall, I would return!
Fantastic food and service! Every dish was perfect.
The service was great, very attentive and explained the menu well. Sushi was fresh and delicious! The tenderloin was like butter! Very cozy restaurant and was great for our birthday celebration.
Had a wonderful experience last night. Shrimp Pad Thai is always great and the Short Ribs were delicious. Highly recommend the new burrata and fig appetizer.
Kayla was our server and she was a true delight - attentive and pleasant.
As always, we had a great night out at Nectar. We love the food, service and atmosphere.
Outstanding as always!
I was happy to see so many people were enjoying lunch at Nectar. And the menu seems to have changed. I was very pleased with the options
The food and service were good as usual. It did seem to be really noisy though. All things considered, glad they are doing well enough to be noisy. Still a favorite restaurant for my husband and me.
We've been here before and will go again. 'Nuff said.
Lovely restaurant! Service could not have been better. Food was very good and I would definitely return.
Food and service are always great and consistent at Nectar. When they are busy, and that is frequently at dinner, the noise level can be a little much if you're in the main dining area. Upstairs or, weather permitting, the back porch are much easier for conversations. Regardless of where you sit you will get a great meal so I strongly recommend Nectar
Another fantastic meal at Nectar. Never fails to deliver. The table shared chicken curry dumplings and lobster sliders: wow! I had my favorite short ribs with those amazing fires and dipping sauce.
1st time visiting Overall very good experience food was great accidentally left out to go food at the table upset about that
Wok lobster is amazing; Amish chicken & shrimp was excellent - such a light sauce - I ordered mine to be made mild. We'll definitely go back here again!
Busy Friday, service superior. Meal prep time reasonable. Food good to v. good. Pricey but due to these difficult times.
Disheartening to say since we have had so many delicious memories here but our meal was a big disappointment from what we knew Nectar to be. All the sushi tasted the same and the entrees lacked in flavor. The crispy chicken was heavily breaded and tasted store bought. Nectar has lost its luster.
All was great!
Great, food was awesome and server was great too!
An invaluable staple of the Main Line. Delectable cuisine, warm and attentive service, and vibrant ambience.
Haven't eaten here in so many years and it was as busy as usual and the food was delicious! We ordered so many appetizers I can't even remember, they were all so good . The waiter was amazing so attentive and he was very busy . We ordered lots of desserts and drinks and nothing disappointed
Something for everyone! Great food and excellent service
Great food and service! Beautiful ambiance.
