Best restaurants near me in Stockton-on-Tees, England

We went to The Blue Bell at Yarm Stockton-on-Tees for Sunday lunches, it was our first visit there. The pub/restaurant is situated by the River Tees, on a bankside just before the bridge leading to Yarm High Street. We had a choice of seating, including eating outside on a terrace, we chose standard seating indoors and had requested a window seat. We liked the ambience of the Blue Bell, which has a Victorian look and theme with pictures of Yarm on the wall taken in the 1950's. We sat by an old fashioned fireplace with a hearth. It also has a family friendly comfortable feel to it. The Staff are professional and attentive, with a pleasant and sociable attitude, helping to make visitors feel welcome. There was a good choice of food on the menu and we chose roast dinners of chicken and pork belly respectively followed by home made sticky toffee pudding and custard, and apple and raspberry crumble and ice cream. This food was delicious, (really good gravy too), and well presented. The prices are competitive if slightly higher than other Sunday lunches however I would say that the standard of food is also higher. We really enjoyed visiting here, would recommend and would very much like to return.
