We had the only menu available on Fridays - small plates. There is a good variety and vegetarian options too. The food was cooked and presented well and some innovations to make it different. The drinks list was reasonable but not extensive - there was enough variety. The seating and decor was pleasant. The main drawbacks were the tables were too small for numbers of small plates, also the ‘background’ music was so loud even the waiting staff didn’t hear us properly - we didn’t feel we could converse as we’d have to raise our voices to make ourselves heard. We asked for the music to be turned down and it was for a few minutes but then turned back up, we felt the customer is not a priority here.

Fantastic food and service. Thank you to Millie for being a fantastic server. As she also had to deal with a tricky bunch of rude customers.

Fantastic time once again at The Hawthorn. The food is always delicious.

Always a pleasure to dine here. The food and the service are superb- my favourite restaurant in this area.

An excellent meal, served with charm in fantastic surroundings and at the same time reasonably prices. This is somewhere we will continue to attend.
