For the last 18 years, Joe Hennes and his wife Ellen have been building a family-oriented meeting place for friends to gather at Sloppy Joe's Saloon and Spoon in Hubertus. Sorry…the food was a huge miss. I know this place (as nice as it is) is a work-in-progress…still needs a lot of work. The Wellington was unseasoned, over-cooked and tough. The potato side was also tough and unseasoned. Those issues aside, I like the place

Two of us ordered the Gnocchi with Butternut Squash. It was good, but we found it was too sweet. after a few bites. One order the Sweet Corn and Tomato Risotto, which she said was excellent. For dessert: Creme Brulee and Banoffee Pie...both were excellent. Our server was outstanding and we appreciated her attentiveness.

Every time I experience Id, it is unique, and wonderful. The setting is a lovely place to visit. The service is impeccable. And the food rivals gourmet restaurants around the world. Farm to table, each dish is a unique presentation of flavors. And we have it right here in Delafield to enjoy. I’m never disappointed.
