Best restaurants near me in Monmouth Beach, NJ

We frequent this place a lot in the summer. The vibe in winter was a little quieter on a Monday night in January. It was a really nice ambience for a date night. Service and food was great.

Overall had a terrific experience and would absolutely come back. The food was delicious and the vibe was immaculate. It was also decorated so well and I loved the outdoor fire pits. My only critique is that the service felt very rushed. We were here on a Friday night so it was crowded. We had a 5:45 reservation and we didn’t get seated until 6:05 because our table hadn’t left yet. It wasn’t a big deal and we sat by the fire pit while waiting. However, while we were enjoying our appetizers and drinks, we were asked multiple times if they could clear the table. We said we were still working. They then brought our pasta out while we were still working on the apps. Didn’t love that. After dinner though, we did hang out and they didn’t rush us out which I appreciated. Would definitely go back to try more food and enjoy the ambiance!

Rooney’s is always great! Food is outstanding Service is always great. Last night our waiter was ok. Looked like it was the last place he wanted to be But there’s never anything bad to say about Rooney’s. Best of the best

Another great experience at the Drifthouse—food, surroundings, and view are wonderful. However, the consistent attentive, professional, and very friendly staff are always reasons to return frequently. The manager, Hafid Elbroji, always makes us feel welcome and at home. Thank you!
