Best restaurants near me in Mission District, CA

It’s a given that the food is exceptional each time but the staff is what puts this restaurant on our favorite list. They are gracious and helpful even when the restaurant is swamped.

The staff was wonderful, very welcoming and friendly. The food was as expected, terrific! I love the place. Wish I could afford to go there more often! And very Argentine of them, they welcome you to sit at your table leisurely. Nice all around. One thing I am VERY offended by is that after happily accepting the price of the restaurant, they attach a hefty 5% "SF Mandate" ($9.05) charge, just for the privilege of have a $206 dinner. This offends me. I should ONLY be charged for something I bought, not just because I was spending a lot of money there in the first place! I was tempted to take ten dollars of my 20% tip to put the cost back on the restaurant, but I decided not to.

What an incredible meal! Every course was delicious. We especially loved the whole crab with omelette, the ribs, and the honey walnut shrimp and pork toast. Make sure to get the pickle party. Service was friendly and on point.

Foreign Cinema is by far one of the best restaurants in San Francisco and throughout the years they have maintained the same quality level. The food is beautifully presented and the innovative flavors are a pleasant surprise to the palate. They have something for everyone. The crew is very well experienced and their recommendations for wine pairing is always right on. Don’t be surprised if they bring complementary dishes. We have been dining at Foreign Cinema since they open and we will continue visiting them.

This was the best sushi we have ever had…all five of us!! Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. We will definitely be returning, especially since all other sushi places are ruined after coming here. Thank you for such a lovely evening!
