The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s.     Outstanding overall. Attention to customer care and the food were outstanding. This is truly a very good restaurant with a great Italian menu with great quality .. it feels a bit clicky but that’s to be expected in Bernardsville. I will be going back

    I’d never eaten here before. I chose this Restauraunt after using the “Between” app to find a location between the three couples meeting —- but boy am I glad I did! The service was outstanding and the food delicious. Note when visiting that the Restauraunt sign is dark so you could miss it. Use a navigation to find it. I’ll definitely go back again

    Its in the details. Food was excellent. Portion’s generous. Service is the issue. Staff was pleasant but inattentive and under educated. Server did not know what dressing came with chopped salad and did not know what osso bucco ravioli was. We waited at least 20 minutes after completing our main course to get a desert menu. The glass top table was soaked with condensation from our beverage glasses, tablecloth or coasters please. The ravioli was very good, but a teaspoon more filling would have made it excellent. The tiramisu was different and possibly the best we have ever had, including that in Rome. A bit more attention to details elevates this restaurant to one of the absolute best.
