When booking a table in the evening, please be aware that we are a residential home and as such we ask that guests depart the restaurant by 09:00pm and have consideration for our neighbor's when leaving.Please be aware when visiting that there is a security gate on entry, the code for which is written on the gate, you will need to exit your vehicle to input the code. You will find the Pavilion restaurant next to the main house, opposite the Mews Houses. Ample parking available.Please be aware that our disabled lift is currently out of order. The Plough isn't your average countryside pub. Sitting on a quiet lane in a quintessentially English village, The Plough was set to be sold off the developers when 120 members of the community came together to invest, and save, their local. After its purchase and renovation, the Yates family took over the kitchen and opened the pub's small, but proud, restaurant, Bowleys. Head Chef Alex Yates is still very early on in his career but though only in his early twenties, he has already spent two years in the kitchens at The Goring Hotel in London, as well as having gained experience with Rick Stein and even once cooking for the Queen. Bowleys menus have a traditional feel and adhere to classic, English fare with a fine dining twist. There are several options to choose between including a tasting menu, set lunch, a la carte, brunch and Sunday lunch. The tasting menu is the jewel in Bowleys crown and consists of five courses, with an optional sixth.

Open Tuesday to Sunday with food served all day from noon.We now have 3 Giant heated Tipis, they provide lots of fresh air and a lovely open environment, they are also heated.Formerly an 18th Century farmhouse boasting exposed beams, oak floors, exposed brickwork and oak tables. The staff were very attentive & took the time to chat. They were cheerful & available. The food was absolutely amazing. A free bottle of prosseco was offered as it was my daughters birthday. Will definitely recommend & we will be visiting again.

This is a lovely neighbourhood restaurant in a secluded location. We have been here for a number of great meals. It’s part of a very exclusive retirement property and has been opened up to the public in order to keep it utilised. The service is exceptional, often there are at least 1 member of staff for every 2 customers. The waitresses are lovely and keen to make sure you enjoy Food ranges from exceptional (fish and chips, most deserts, vegetarian) to a bit average (fatty lamb chops, bread and olives). It really depends on what you choose. I recommend everyone gives this place a try, so lovely to avoid chain restaurants and have something a bit different.
