Food was really delicious, I wish I had known how large the portion sizes were before ordering, we ended up ordering way too much food and couldn’t finish it. Flavor was amazing, if you’re not familiar with Greek food, it would be nice to know what each word or style meant. I could hardly hear our server. She was very quiet, but she was very polite and Helpful when we did have questions. I was a little disappointed that we couldn’t get happy hour deals if we were sitting in the dining area. It was only available at the bar which was not advertised on OpenTable or on the website, so I would’ve liked to have known beforehand.

Fabulous in all the ways. Can’t wait to go back soon.

This place is a must. The service and food are outstanding. We really enjoyed the Vib and music too. Well worth trekking out on one of coldest days of the year.

Akahoshi is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by the warmth of the staff, the ambience, and the smell of the most delicious ramen you will experience in Chicago - or maybe anywhere! I was seated at the counter facing the kitchen and it was a marvel to watch each bowl put together with such care and attention. The drinks are fantastic - from cocktails to smooth sake, and the food… I’ll be dreaming of it from now until the next time I’m able to come in. The flavors & textures present your mouth with a WORLD of excitement and comfort. Everything about Akahoshi feels intentional and carefully done. Not to mention, everyone who works here is kind, attentive, but not overbearing or pushy in the slightest, allowing you to savor every minute of your experience. I could go on and on forever, but you just have to come see for yourself!!

Nice but tables too close together. What is with the water? Why do use serve warm room temperature water ? Just leave the bottle on the table. Don’t fill the glass every time you take a sip. That was annoying.
