We ate with friends at The Barrel to celebrate a birthday. We have been several times now and always receive a warm welcome. The service is attentive but not overbearing. The choices from the menu are excellent and there are always new items/specials to choose from. Whilst the prices are not the cheapest it is definitely worth the money. There were 4 of us in our party we all chose differently for starter's/mains and pudding, every plate went back to the kitchen without a crumb left!! The atmosphere in The Barrel is warm and friendly with a good choice of beers and a varied wine list. The drive up to the highest pub in Derbyshire is also worth it for the amazing views, we feel especially lucky because we got to enjoy a warm, sultry evening when the sunset was beautiful. Looking forward to my next trip and would highly recommend for a visit.

Lovely food at average prices burger was extremely good great table service staff were lovely toilets nice and clean and well set out with washing and lotions plenty of loo roll too just a nice place would definitely eat there again
