Over his many years in Oaxaca, TJ cultivated relationships with local craftsmen, artists, mezcaleros, cooks and farmers throughout the region. Claro is dedicated to making everything by hand, including the masa, cheeses, chorizo and moles. Insa has arguably the best karaoke setup in Brooklyn, with an amazingly expansive songbook, intuitive and flawlessly functional app, comfortable rooms and first-rate waitstaff. The dinner we had beforehand was also first-rate. I would give it five stars, except for the one major flaw with the place: an unforgivably strict time limit. It's two hours no matter what, and when you have a large party that simply isn't enough. We are considering bringing back a larger group for a birthday celebration in two months, and our only hesitation is the time limit, which will prove untenable with any group larger than, say, six people. I really wish Insa would reconsider this policy. Otherwise, the place is near-flawless.

Great food, cool vibe in the place. Really friendly staff. 100% recommend if you’re gluten free/celiac everything is safe! It’s a bit pricey but worth it
