Welcome to Harbor Lights! For over 50 years we have been a staple in the Tacoma community. A rustic atmosphere that sits on the shore of Commencement Bay with scenic views providing the quintessential Northwest dining experience. Harbor Lights joined the Anthony's family on April 29th, 2000 after being the dream of Anton Barcott, an immigrant from Yugoslavia. On January 26, 1959 Anton opened Harbor Lights among the lumber mills and shipyards along the waterfront. We recently visited this local gem and were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The ambiance was welcoming, and the staff was attentive and friendly, making for an enjoyable evening. It truly felt like a great local discovery. That said, there were a couple of hiccups in the meal. The steak, while flavorful, was not cooked consistently throughout, leaving some uneven spots where it was medium then very well in others. Additionally, the dessert—particularly the cake—fell a bit short of expectations, lacking the flavor profile we had hoped for—bourbon. Despite these issues, the quality of service and charm of the place have left a positive impression. We’re looking forward to returning and trying more of the menu. With a bit more consistency in the kitchen, this spot has the potential to be a favorite as the drinks and the rest of the meal was superb.
