Wolfgang Zwiener, a veritable icon after over four decades of loyal service at the legendary Peter Luger’s in New York, has become a legend, himself, with seven successful steakhouses across the country bearing his name. Building a solid reputation on the strength of his service and exacting standards, Zwiener hand selects all sides of beef served in his steakhouses, and chooses only USDA Prime Grade Black Angus beef for superior marbling, tenderness, flavor and texture. Everything was fine except for the porterhouse steak. It was ordered medium and it came to the table rare, it was sent back but still wasn’t cooked properly. All the areas adjacent to the bone were not cooked. In my opinion the steak was frozen and the cooking time required to get the meat cooked which was next to a very cold bone was not possible. We also had 2 filet mignons and they were cooked properly. The service was very good but the cook needs to understand the properties of steak cooking a little better.

Overpriced .. margaritas was nice other cocktails served was pure alcohol (gin) .. noted it’s my birthday but nothing special why ask if there is something to celebrate?
