We had a fantastic meal , great specials and superb oysters , all 4 of us really enjoyed it , we will be back . Service was outstanding and staff were lovely

One of our favourite ‘locals’ in Northumberland seamlessly combining welcoming local pub and a great restaurant with fantastic views over the harbour and sea. The staff were friendly and welcoming at the end of what must have been a long day for them. The food is superb with an obvious focus on local seafood. The wine list is varied and reasonably priced. Beautiful Craster and the Jolly are always worth a visit, again and again…. JS KC

I have eaten at a lot of one through four rosette restaurants and this was equal to any of them. I would describe it as faultless and good value. I couldn't recommend it more.

Lovely food, no brioche buns for the burgers however these were served with sour dough bread as alternative which was lovely and fresh.

Visited for Sunday lunch. Staff were very friendly and helpful but waited 45 minutes along with the other few diners that ordered at same time. The food itself i must say was worth waiting for. The pork just melted in your mouth and everything was so tasty. Was just a bit put off by the long wait when it wasn't even busy. Would visit again though!
