Mochica’s pisco and cebiche bars feature made-to-order cebiche, paired with the Peruvian national spirit, Pisco, in a variety of cocktails, including the famous Pisco Sour. Guests sitting at the cebiche bar will have the opportunity to talk to the chefs and see them crafting a variety of cebiche dishes. Chefs may provide suggestions based on what is in season and to the patrons’ tastes. Mochica will also serve delectable tapas-style Peruvian and other South American dishes.
We look forward to welcoming you.
The food was amazing. It was just a tiny bit loud there.
Everything was wonderful. I took a chance and it paid off. The owner shared some great information about life, culture and food in Peru and my server was fantastic. I enjoyed Peruvian cocktails, appetizers, enteee and dessert.
Items felt overpriced and I wish i had known that the still water cost extra.
Overall food was good. Skip the Yuquitas a la Huancaina it should not be considered any representation of a true Huancaina it shouldn’t even be an appetizer should be a side and even then it’s not worth it. Ceviches are good as are the Tiradito, Causitas and Short Rib. As for entrees Aji de Gallina was flavorless the Pulpo is a must. Absolutely delicious. The Lomo Saltado was tasty but Seco was mediocre. For vegetarians the Coliflor was good. Had Alfajor and Creme brûlée for dessert and both were delicious. All in all some really good food with a few missteps.
Nazca Mochica is beautifully appointed. The food is good but not great, and there was a bit of a disconnect between the service and the offerings on the menu: questions were half-answered, with neither clear information nor conviction. The flavorful but tough lomo saltado has potential; the high prices will delay the rush back for a second take.
The service was so rushed.
The new larger portions were unexpected and great. Everything was delicious as usual. The special fish was a bit hit with everyone. We will be back!
We had a lovely time! The cocktails and meal were delicious. The atmosphere was just right for catching up with old friends!
Food good. VERY loud. Ambiance just average. Website pics deceiving. Meals came before we finished our drinks and before wine. They need to work on their "pacing". Don't think I will go back.
We had a great experience at Nazca Mochica! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our table on the patio was comfortable, and the food was delicious. We'll definitely be back.
Loved the experience. Food is very good as usual
Wonderful food and great service. My only big complaint was that there were many, many mosquitos in the restaurant that made dinner out of me. I left with more than 15 bites by the end of dinner and was swatting mosquitos away from my dinner date most of the evening.
Great service, highly attentive staff
Wasn’t worth it- the majority of the food was cold . Very disappointed that we paid over $50 a person for a place like this. I will not be returning. The only good thing was the waiter who was sweet and the ceviche dish. The rest was poor and the ambiance on the third floor sucks. The second floor is nice and makes it better.
Consistently superb menu, quality, flavor and pleasant. Re commend always to friends locally and out of town visitors, in particular.
Food was really good but it was cold when they served it. Service was great. Try the coca sour, it’s really good!
It was restaurant week but food was nothing special. Nice atmosphere though.
Went for restaurant week. Food was good. Service could have been better with the addition of more staff
Everything was great but the tuna ( I believe it was can tuna) . Salad part was good. If you want to try something new don’t order the below item.
TUNA NAZCAMOCHICA SALAD (V)
Tuna in olive oil, mixed greens, cherry toma
Delicious Peruvian food! This restaurant is an excellent choice for a date night out; cozy romantic atmosphere paired with delicious food. For a fantastic dinner you will never forget, try the Lomo Salteado and Pescado en Escabeche for the main course and the Alfajores and Suspiro Limeno for dessert.
Nice food, good service.
I had a great shrimp soup which was delicious. The big group we ate with enjoyed everything and the drinks were great too! Definitely will be back.
Food is amazing service was great ! The place has a nice vibe
Portion size small, server didn’t offer rice on the side for the lomo saltado, not the best Peruvian food
Food was good, atmosphere is nice, but the service was so so.
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday, and he loved it! We went to happy hour first (goes until 7 PM) for cheaper drinks and an app, and then enjoyed some seafood dishes and drinks. I came here because I saw on Open Table that it was good for a date night, and I 100% agree. There was a nice ambience, complete with candles on every table. Very good service as well. Highly recommend.
Robert provided great service. It was both elegant and kid friendly at the same time. We really enjoyed the drinks and our meal. We will be back!
Dined here about 4-5 times. Always great food and service. Reasonably priced.
This place has an amazing twist on Peruvian food. The balance of flavors is done very well and it takes traditional recipes to another level. Service was great and I never felt unattended
Best food! Everything perfect. It is not cheap but it is worth.
We allowed our server to make selections for us. We had two appetizers and two entrees. Everything was delicious, including the cocktails. We are looking forward to returning to this restaurant the next time we are in DC.
We had a great hosts who helped us navigated the menu. there are certain Peruvian wines that he gave us to taste, which I would agree with him, it's not worth trying. Overall good food, good atmosphere, and close to authentic.
Beautifully served and tasteful dishes (shortribs, grilled octopus!!!!) and delicious cocktails plus good advice from the waiting staff made this dinner an excellent experience
As a Peruvian, I can say this is my favorite Peruvian Restaurant in the area. Thanks!
Ceviche was very good
Great service from start to finish and wonderful presentation of the best of Peruvian food with a creative twist. I can completely understand the Michelin recognition. The ceviches are uniformly delicious and alone make a visit worthwhile.
We were visiting DC and looking to try different restaurants. The drinks and food were excellent.
Awesome dining experience! First time and it had a cool ambiance, good food and great service! A wonderful hidden gem in Dupont!
Excellent food and great customer friendly service!
