Nazca Mochica
Mochica’s pisco and cebiche bars feature made-to-order cebiche, paired with the Peruvian national spirit, Pisco, in a variety of cocktails, including the famous Pisco Sour. Guests sitting at the cebiche bar will have the opportunity to talk to the chefs and see them crafting a variety of cebiche dishes. Chefs may provide suggestions based on what is in season and to the patrons’ tastes. Mochica will also serve delectable tapas-style Peruvian and other South American dishes.
We look forward to welcoming you.

Always great! Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly.
Food was pretty great. Service was horrendously slow. It was valentine's and they'd clearly overcommitted. Fine, I understand, but waiting 45 minutes for our table and 20-30 minutes for each course is not ok. Server was trying very hard and very apologetic but some kind of gesture - free drinks or a discount or something - would have been appropriate.
The fish cebiche appetizer and duck cebiche main were delicious, the deserts were also tasty. I will return for sure.
Amazing service and food! Best Peruvian place in DC!
The server was friendly and extremely well informed about the food and wine list. Cerviche was some of the best I have ever eaten. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
First time visit and will definitely be back. Excellent cocktails. Beautiful and delicious food. Knowledge and friendly service. I’d like to see a little more variety and vegetarian options. We enjoyed it! Cheers
Wonderful service, excellent food and perfect for a group. The shrimp dishes were perfect as was the Pisco Sour. Having just been to Peru we missed the potato pancake like dishes but will have to return to Peru I guess!
Thank you for all the staff. They were pleasant and were attentive.
My friends and I came to vet whether we want to be brunch bloggers. Given our dining experience, we decided to start on our blog. We will return once it gets started!!
Our food and drinks were good, but the service was off. We got our cocktails as we were finishing our first course. I don't like it when a server places my used fork on the table. The food was BEAUTIFUL and tasty.
Had ceviche for the first time and it was really good. Definitely coming back.
This place was so delicious. We came during restaurant week so we had the prix fixe menu and were not disappointed. The ceviche was one of the best I have had, as were the alfajores. Highly recommend!
My date and I had a very good Restaurant Week dinner there on Saturday night. They were warm and welcoming and seated us right away. The service was excellent and the menu was creative and fun. We especially enjoyed the lamb dish and the pisco sours. It was a good value for the price. We would recommend the restaurant.
The food was excellent with unique tastes and very creative presentation. Would be there often if I still lived in DC but, alas, was just visiting.
Need to update the carpet on the second floor. It’s a worn out/industrial carpet. Otherwise decent meal.
We found a new “go to” for when guests come in from out of town. Wife had Loma which was so good and I had seafood Paella. The rice in my Paella was super creamy and the perfect amount of spice. Don’t miss the rice pudding for dessert!
First time at Nazca Mochica, being Peruvian myself had to go and try it. Went for my birthday with my son and daughter who are already young adults.
The host who eventually was our server was a great young man, had recently returned from a trip to Peru, tried his best to speak in Spanish and it was very good by the way.
The food presentation was phenomenal, the aroma, the portion sizes were elegantly fulfilling and inviting to savor the meal.
We ordered different dishes and asked for them to be placed at the center of the table to try them all. Only reason for my three stars on food is because unfortunately, we found that the Grilled Octopus and Anticuchos' flavors (two of the dishes we ordered) tasted exactly the same, not sure why when they are supposed to taste completely different from one another; we also noticed the dishes tend to have a sweet taste as if sugar would be one of the ingredients, when it should not be the case.
As for the Pisco Sour, it was delicious, Salud!
All in all well worth it having lunch at Nazca Mochica, we didn't fall in love with the food but did with everything else!
The food was good, but served cold. I don't think they could keep up with the crowd for restaurant week . There was also a horrible smell in the downstairs bar and the entryway of the upstairs restaurant. The food was good enough and service friendly enough to try again when they are not so busy. Definitely a no go if the smell is still there.
Amazing food and terrific ambience!
My favorite restaurant in the entire United States. Amazing food, ambiance and service. It’s on a whole other level than other restaurants.
Great food and service but pricey
portions too small and not enough variety (vegetarian or seafood)
Warm and accommodating, honored the request to serve item that had been altered from original menu offerings. A true gem in dining! Will return!
Absolutely delicious!
We went for Restaurant Week and found the food to be fine but not great. Service was good and food was delivered quickly, though it certainly helped that for the majority of the meal we were the only ones in the restaurant! Overall I thought it was a nice experience and a good place to try Peruvian dishes, but don't feel compelled to return for any reason.
Relatively quiet ambiance and good service. The ceviche is highly recommendable; we always order it. Overall, the food is tasty but the options are a bit limited.
The food was delicious. The vegetarian options were slim, but good. The only thing I objected too was ordering the vegetarian cauliflower.. only to be told later that the dressing was based in oyster sauce. If you advertise as vegetarian, please make it true!
Service was good, and the wine selection was excellent. The ambiance is pleasant, and the music low enough for good conversation.
Quiet Peruvian restaurant with modern decor and very good food and drink service. Ceviche was outstanding. Entrees were a little disappointing, portions were on the small side and dishes were quite salty. Arroz con Mariscos, for example, was mostly rice. Took a time to settle our bill as no one seemed to know how exactly to deal with our gift certificate.
Excellent food, we have gone there twice and tried almost everything on the menu. The ceviche is fantastic !!!! Cocktails are also good. Quiet and small restaurant.
Was extremely disappointed on New Year’s Eve to be seated on the top level. The ambiance in this space was absolutely terrible and left as if we were eating in a converted classroom. We chose this restaurant at an early time because during our previous visit, we loved the atmosphere and vibe however we felt like second class citizens having to sit upstairs on this special night.
This was not communicated when booking and would have changed our decision.
With that said, the food and service were fantastic.
Creative, unusual high-end Peruvian cuisine. We were very impressed particularly by the short ribs and the ceviche made using ricotta.
Nice place! The waiters were very respectful and friendly.
Great food, great service! The ambiance was really nice and relaxedl.
One of our best go to spots. We love the drinks and the food!
Wonderful food and service! I will definitely go back.
Excellent! Ceviche was amazingly flavorful, a must have.
Great restaurant, awesome food and delicious cocktails. Bit had a bad service experience. Hopefully just a hic-up.
A great local place with great food and service. One of my favorites. .
The presentation of the food has greatly improved over the last several years.
Delicious food and cocktails in a lovely ambiance, with excellent service.
