Service was 5-star, but food was just ok. Some of the Dim Sum and seafood bar items were not fresh, tasted like frozen packaged food. They didn't use the right mother of pearl spoon for the caviar, so it tasted a little off. Pastry items were not toasted hence stale not fresh, though the flavor was good. Overall, it was just ok, not worthy $129 for it.

We were disappointed with our dinner experience at Navio. The atmosphere is lovely and we had a great stay at the Ritz Carlton. We also have had brunch at Navio before which was excellent. So we expected so much more.
The food was the problem. The amuse bouche was mushroom soup and the flavor was nice but it was luke warm. Our next course was a pasta dish with crab and it was way too salty that we sent it back. They were happy to fix it for us and when it was brought back it was good. Our rib eye's flavor was good but also luke warm and the french fries were very salty. There was something wrong with every single dish but we didn't feel like sending everything back.
We would not recommend them for dinner.

Simply outstanding! From the moment you arrive at the opulent entrance, you know you are going to experience customer service of a quality, sadly too often forgotten by many establishments.

The outdoor area with the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean, as a Piper salutes the sunset, is the perfect surroundings to enjoy an enlivener before dinner. The food is magnificent, the service attentive without being obtrusive.

Leave San Francisco to the 'try hards'......this is the place to be.

I hosted an Australian business colleague for Saturday brunch at Navio. The food was great and view stunning, and my request for window seating was honored. For the price of the meal ($314 including tip and parking for 2 people), however, I expected more. Although we had a server with an assistant, they did not communicate well. Drink service was slow, but plate removal requests were too quick. The $40 valet parking was overpriced with horrible service. Checking into the restaurant was a puzzlingly slow process. There are much better places with views with better service and food for much less (e.g., Cliff House). I will likely not be returning to Navio.

It was our third dinner there and this one was the best. The service was perfect AJ our waiter was excellent. Our dinner was great seafood platter perfect and I had a superb duck breast ( a touch over medium rare)
Also great dessert one of them on the house.

Thank you for the beautiful weekend spent at the Ritz-Carlton.

It sounds and looks better than it tastes. The oysters are just slivers of tasteless goop. The sushi and sashimi selections are borderline tasteless unless you smother them with wasabi and drench them in soy sauce. The breakfast offerings are truly no better than the free breakfast buffer at a roadside chain motel. The charcuterie assortment is an embarrassment. On the other hand, the desserts are ok and the scallops were excellent. Coffee, tea, soda is included in the price, but alcohol is extra (and exceedingly expensive). The service is very good, however.
At $129 per person, plus tax, plus tip, you're looking at a brunch for two costing over $300. Plus, the only parking option is their valet service, which will add another $40 to your burden, plus tip. I guess The Ritz is hoping that everyone will give this brunch one try and they will make their money that way, because I would be astonished if anyone would go back a second time. Lesson learned.

I enjoyed almost every aspect of my meal. The food was very tasty, the service was timely, and the view from my table was exactly what I hoped it would be. However, it would be really helpful if the valet service was included in the price of brunch, since the brunch was $130 and the valet fee was an additional $15.

Very high quality meal. One of the best on our California trip. View out the windows was nice. Go Thursday through the weekend to see the Scottish piper outside. Service was good, but waiter seemed hesitant about some offerings. But overall, a great experience.

Our favorite place for a Sunday brunch. Don't expect omelettes and waffles though. It is serious seafood, sushi, gourmet cheeses, expertly prepared gourmet small dishes, and the desserts are from heaven. All with a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. Expect to spend two full hours there and don't eat for a couple of days prior.

Navio is a perfect restaurant to treat your love one! Perfection--ambience, food, playing, service and everything in between--is an understatement. I took my wife to Navio on our honeymoon date and they knocked it out of the park!! If I can rate it above 5 stars, I would've done so.

This is the 3rd time dining at Navio and we are NEVER disappointed! It was the complete experience. If you can get Pat as your waitress, you will not be disappointed. She even left a handwritten note under our door with the ingredients for a salad dressing! How wonderful is that?!

FYI, this was my second visit to this restaurant. Food was Ooook this time, but service was great. It didn't WOW me at all. For the price, after tax +tip was $165/pp and it wasn't worth it. Tables/chairs are old. They need to renovate the restaurant. On top of it, they tried to get me to pay $30 valet parking; luckily I figured out there is self parking available. Overall I can only gives Navio's Sunday Brunch for 2.5 stars.
PS. the first time we were there the price was around $80/pp.

From checking in with the hostess to the very end of the meal, the entire experience was top notch and well worth the money. My husband and I were celebrating Valentine's Day (a few days after) and we wanted something special. We decided to enjoy the tasting menu with wine pairing and were totally blown away. Horace, our server, was fantastic to start. Very knowledgeable, very kind, and provided the perfect amount of attention. The food was impeccable and wine pairings to die for- we enjoyed so many unique flavor combinations and the attention to detail was beyond. We even got a visit from Chef Pringle towards the end of our meal which was a pleasant surprise, and made us feel very special. We cannot wait to share this gem with our family and friends! We will be back soon and will definitely be trying their brunch as well (highly recommended!). Thank you, Navio <3

Navio is a superlative place to take a special someone on a romantic occasion. We went on Valentine's Day for a prix fixe evening dinner. Mind you, it is expensive; so be prepared to pay $400 or more for a couple, not including drinks. The ambiance, the sun setting over the ocean as the bag-piper plays outside your window may well all be worth it.

Food was excellent. Decent wine selection. If you want a window table for dinner get there early. Had requested one in my reservation however they seat those based on a first come first serve basis. Dante was an excellent waiter, attentive and willing to find answers if he didn't have them upfront.

Navio did disappoint. Such a spectacular view, such a poor performance. The tables dont have tablelcloths and look terrible. The whole ambiance lacks detail. Menues were stained. Main Course was served before we have finished our starter. Empty plates were not cleared. Food was decent, but then again you are paying a steep price for it and it should be good. I am aftraid being the restaurant at a Ritz Carlton you dont have to try so hard. Guest will always show up. But i will not go back there.

Very good food, unfortunately the service level was extremely uneven. We had an awesome waitress and great food, but there was no presentation of the dishes at all. The seafood platter was simply placed on the table, the main course (two different cuts of meat) were presented as steaks and we had to wait 25 minutes until our table was ready, even though we had a reservation. Will probably be back because the overall experience was still very good, but I do expect a bit more from a place like this.

Staying at Ritz-Carlton for a wedding, we thought Navio would be a good choice for dinner. We didn't know Navio at all so expected a typical hotel restaurant and boy were we surprised with a magnificent meal in a spectacular setting. Service was superb, from a warm welcome at reception throughout the entire meal, we were taken care of very well. An incredible meal, starting with a spaghetti appetizer and ending with two shared desserts. The star of the meal was a special, cassoulet. Rarely do we find cassoulet on a menu or as a special and when we do, I order it. Hands down, Navio's cassoulet competes and wins against them all--it was absolutely amazing, putting a couple I've had in Paris to shame. A bit deconstructed, each ingredient stood on its own and melded with all the rest as well, it was nothing short of amazing. Until trying it, I'd never posted a meal photo on social media--that changed with a photo of cassoulet from Navio. The other two at the table enjoyed their entrees just as much as I enjoyed the cassoulet so really a terrific meal and great service, start to finish. Loved it.

For a seafood restaurant their menu sucks. Three items only. And the $46 bass was dry and flavorless. The scallops were good. In general it was a disappointment.

We returned to the hotel where we were married for a romantic New Year's Eve dinner, only to learn the main lobby and conservatory are under renovation and the dinner would be an extravagant pre fixe meal by a Star chef. When the bill came for $700, my mouth dropped. So pretentious and outrageous. It was tasty to be sure but not what we wanted or needed.
