The restaurant has the most amazing view that I ever seen before! It worth the visit!
They have a $40 3 courses menu, that is really good!
This was our 40th Anniversary so it was a special occasion. We had the chef's choice 6 course dinner with wine pairing. It was excellent! My only criticism was the chef chose too many fish dishes instead of varying the courses a bit.
We had a group of six with a private dining room. The setting was wonderful and the service was superior. The food was very good but the portions were a little small. The menu was a little limited with only about six entrée selections. Overall the evening was a memorable l experience.
a. Two glasses of wine $32
b. Ordered crab salad and split it. Ended up being a flautas size roll cut in half, one bite each $16 and it was not good at all
b. The waiter went through the menu he told me the RibEye was very good but very small portion only 6 ounces for $45. I still decided to order it and they brought me a Short Rib and he said oh I thought you did not wanted the Rib Eye. I took one bite of the short rib and it was so dry had to return. He then had them make a Rib Eye which was very small but tasty. Alexanders is same price, better and more.
c. Wife had Halibut, little undercooked and just ok
For $170 felt I was totally ripped off..
I will say I appreciated the nice aniversary desert.
WE WENT FOR MY HUSBANDS BIRTHDAY...SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT..THE PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL...THE FOOD NOT QUITE SO HAPPY WITH. I THOUGHT THE FOOD WAS OVER SEASONED...VERY SALTY TO ME AND MY HUSBAND AS WELL. WE DONT USE MUCH SALT WHEN COOKING AT HOME SO MAYBE WE ARE JUST A LITTLE SENSITIVE TO IT. I HAD THE TROUT AND HE HAD THE SHORTRIBS...OVERALL THOUGH IT WAS A PLEASANT DINING EXPERIENCE BUT WOULD NOT RETURN.
We just loved the brunch at Navio's. It's always been first rate and just outstanding. The waiters/waitresses are super friendly and helpful. Truly a great place for a special occasion.
We had their 5 course dinner with wine pairings from Far Niente Winery. It was one of the best meals I've ever had.....enough said.
Brunch at the Ritz is always an incredible experience. Very pricey but the food and the experience is worth it. The service was exceptional. Maria & Maria, as well as all the other servers, were excellent. I was a bit disappointed that 3 Bloody Marys cost $48.00. While I do not mind paying the price for the brunch, it seemed a bit excessive for 3 drinks.
The first impression to me since the moment we walk to the reception kiosk. She brought us to the very nice and cosy corner with roses on table for our special dinner. Staffs are very friendly and helpful with the menu selection. Price is very reasonable. I'm looking forward going there again when i visit San Francisco.
We were at Navio for our 25th anniversary. Upon entering we provided our name since we made a reservation on Open Table. The hostess couldn't find my reservation even though I called earlier in the day to confirm. Got scared but she accommodated us nicely. Our waitress, wish I could remember her name, but she went out of her way to make our night special. She placed Roses on our table. We chose the six course meal with the wine pairing. The food was wonderful, not large portions, but satisfying. The wine pairing was not up to par, so my wife had them adjust hers and she enjoyed what she was served. At the end, the waitress provided us with chocolates in a box with 'Happy 25th Anniversary' written in chocolate on a plate. Very nice
I went to Navio with my mom and friend for a birthday celebration. It was amazing. We had trouble making our dinner time and they were very good about keeping our table. Just entering the Ritz Carlton was amazing with beautiful decor. It set the stage for a special occasion. The restaurant itself felt cozy and some of the tables by the window had an ocean view. We had requested that but I suppose because we were late, we couldn't get it. The food was excellent. I had scallops and quail (entree). Both were scrumptious. I asked our server for a wine rec and she did a great job. Surprisingly, the place was also pretty affordable given how nice it was. I have definitely paid more for poorer experiences in SF. I will definitely come back!
High end but not pretentious - great menu selection and excellent service. The lamb was superb.
Excellent food and beautiful views, restaurant itself was your standard high-end hotel decor. Wine service was a little tedious, but the food service moved along at a good pace. My only complaint is that a 5-star hotel like the Ritz should really enforce a dress code. We were both showered and dressed for a night out to dinner, when we walked in (at 7:00 PM) there was a table of four, all dressed in shorts and baseball caps (backwards, nonetheless!). I guess no ever ever taught that 40-year old that you take your hat off when indoors. We were then seated next to another table with a similarly dressed older couple (i.e - they should know better!). I always wonder why restaurants bother to even list a dress code if they don't enforce
What a delightful place. The service is always personable, friendly, polite, helpful, attentive enough without being obtrusive...in short, perfect.
The food is delicious and artfully presented. I had a scrumptious parsnip and chestnut soup...truly delectable. My husband had salmon and I had halibut...both fish that we enjoy frequently. However, Navio's elevated these common filets to a higher level than most. Both were perfectly prepared with interesting accompaniments on the plate. Very nice! For dessert, I had the baba au rhum...to die for, and my husband had a chewy, homemade French macaroon with chocolate mousse daubed on top, garnished with fresh raspberries, topped with a burst-in-your-mouth raspberry sorbet. Mmm.
Food was fabulous and so was the wine list! We would go back in a heart beat. spectacular view of CA coast.
Fabulous experience, great food, service and wine.
Beautiful location and impeccable service as always! Food was just the perfect touch to the surroundings.
Very disappointed in my evening. The food was great, and our server was wonderful. It was our two year anniversary, so I made my reservation 1 month in advance to request a window table, overlooking the bay. When we arrived, the hostess told me that she understands we requested a window table, but it just was not available. I'm sorry, that is why I made this reservation 1 month in advance. Surely they can reserve a window table that far in advance. Instead, we were seated right by the kitchen. FUN! When the manager came by and asked us how we were doing, I told him. His response? "I'll look into that." That is is. It was not what I expected for my 2 year anniversary in HMB.
That was my first and excellence experience at the Navio.
Our first time back in several years and now I remember why. Although the service was fantastic, their signature dish, which is the braised short rib, was very dry, topped with some chopped vegetables, and served with an unappealing roasted red pepper sauce. Years ago the sauce was very rich and decadent and topped the rib. Very over-priced at $38.
The food was excellent from appetizers right through dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that has an opportunity to dine here.
Just plainly perfect! Waiter, Horace, was knowledgeable, friendly, and very professional! Food, seasonal peas-filled raviolis were delicious, salmon n halibut were crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly on the inside! Dessert, the baba-au-rum is to live for!!!!thankU for a wonderful evening of exquisite gourmands!!!!
I have been to Navio over 20 times in my life and am never disappointed. From reservation, to hostess, to wine list, menu and service - it is one of my favorite spots. I have had a server named Pat on many occasions and was lucky to have her on my latest visit. She is prompt, courteous, thoughtful and aims to please in every fashion possible. I always ask for a table in her section if she is working that night. The other servers, including wine, are all excellent, but Pat is the best. My guest is still talking about the experience at Navio!
Service was very attentive but not intrusive. Presentation attractive and innovative. Felt very relaxed and content. Would definitely return for a special experience.
The menu is very intriguing, the execution a bit less than expected. The service was quite good, the wine list very impressive -- even the somewhat limited by the glass selection was good. Our corn soup was a bit watery. The vegetarian options were inventive and my partner's choice was delightful. My chicken was tasty but dry. Overall, less than I would expect for the price and the setting, but a fun evening nonetheless.
Thank you for another perfect evening! Don't change a thing!
Wonderful brunch as usual. The seafood and desserts are particularly novel and delicious.
"I'll Be Back"
Very nice restaurant. Great for a special occasion.
The best lamb I have ever tatsted!
Beautiful view, service, ambiance. Limited, but excellent menu choices.
Great restaurant and Food. Not enough service people for prices. Spectacular views and beautiful Kitchen.
A wonderful experience and the service was the best. My meal was superb and my wife's was very good.Thank you for a romantic evening wit a spectacular view beforethe fog came in
Perfect...terrific restaurant with wonderful people to look after your every need. Food beautifully presented with creativity and a simple elegance. It's nearly impossible to find fault here. Not to be missed.
Fantastic food and wine makes the weekend celebration that much more special. The food is always spectacular, with the latest in season emphasis and locally sourced food. Elegant yet simple combinations showcase the finest ingredients. Spectacular wine selections round out the experience. The service at the Ritz is always superb.
We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing. The wines really brought out the dish and visa versa. The food was really great but the service was absolutely fantastic.
This is one of my favorite destinations, along with the ambience the feel of being in Scotland,or another world far away, individual attention The Ritz Halfmoon Bay remains a step above.
We had a nice experience there for my fiance's birthday. There were two things that made it less perfect. Pal, our server was very attentive!
First thing, parking was confusing direction. No one came up to valet the car when the person greeted you at the gate said so.
The other thing was that I requested a writing of "Happy 33rd birthday to (my fiace's name)" on the dessert plate. I wrote a special request note via Open Table when I reserved the place AND called to confirm with the staff on the phone about the it. I expected it could be done at a high class restaurant in Ritz. The plate came out with a generic "Happy Birthday!". I was disappointed. I still gave them a good tip but felt my request was forgotten.
I expected a nice experience but was rewarded with a great experience! Wonderful food; excellent service and gracious surroundings.
Had dinner as part of our stay at the Ritz Carlton. Food was outstanding, some of the finest lamb I've ever had. Very extensive wine list, wine was served at celler temperature.
Ambiance was actually more casual then I expected, this is part of a golf resort and some folks were in fairly casual attire. Didn't detract, I was personally fine with the atmosphere.
